  1. It's a silly question. There's no reason to have a stand-alone bill for one line item. What's also silly is just carving that one thing out, then pretending it was done because of procedural issues. Obviously if Republicans truly wanted to pass such a bill, drafting it would be easy, and they could get it on the docket almost immediately. But we all know that's as likely as seeing their "repeal and replace" bill for Obamacare. Remember that old lie?

  2. So Republicans screwed American insulin users because the Democrats did a procedure wrong? Of all the ridiculous tissue-thin excuses.

  3. This doesn't include tremendous support of Ukraine or the foreign policy of revealing the Russian invasion of Ukraine late last year. I get that Biden can be frustrating to voters. He isn't perfect. But contrast his accomplishments with Trump's "American carnage" and the complete joke the GOP has twisted itself into. Comparing the two Presidents is such a colossal insult to Biden that we shouldn't elevate Trump by mentioning them in the same sentence.

  4. “She knocked it out. They added it back in and basically, you know, wanted to tempt us to, I guess, vote against it,” Thune said, while taking aim at Democrats for “overruling the parliamentarian.” He said the effort to overturn the parliamentarian undermined the integrity of Senate procedure and Senate rules. “It undermines the whole reconciliation process if you if you start doing that,” he said. “So, I mean, I think there’s a right way and wrong way to do it. They want to get that vote, there’s a lot of ways they can get that vote, but doing it this way, was the wrong way to do it.” https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/3591586-democrats-fail-to-overrule-parliamentarian-on-insulin-price-cap-as-gop-votes-no/amp/ I remember way back when, when you all complained about sticking to political norms Any reason why a simple stand alone insulin bill couldn’t come to the floor for a vote? Instead of breaking senate rules? I know why.

  5. And I have to vote for him a 3rd and 4th time before the Left finishes turning the USA into a 3rd world autocracy, which you most likely voted for and want.

  6. How about this. NBC is on board because they know Notre Dame is coming to the Big Ten. I couldn’t care less. I don’t really watch any of the pregame shows.

  9. Don't know. Pretty sure someone will step forward to prove you -- at best -- disingenuous. We are dealing in the same realm where Republicans got outfoxed by Chuck Shumer and Joe Manchin, and retaliated by punishing Veterans. And also: the GOP lying about everything. Stupid bald-faced lies they hope will deflect from their awfulness.

  10. The amendment - *gasp* - needed 60 votes to pass, as many as a stand alone bill needs. The proposed stand alone bill was identical to what was included in the IRA. Republicans didn't vote for it because they didn't want Democrats to add another win in the bill.

  11. This is what the the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs thinks of Trump. I want to add, for my America-hating Trump voters, that this is not a surprise. It was obvious to anybody back in 2015 that Trump was this way. You didn't exactly need to be a member of Mensa to see it.

  12. The Big Ten West is just horrid. Once NU either gets competent coaching or the bad luck goes away...they will be winning the west 75% of the time. Iowa coming off one of their best seasons ever and they can't even get ranked. PU coming off one of their best seasons ever with a "star" QB back, can't get ranked. Minny with their "stud" RB back and a 10th year starting QB back...can't get ranked.

  19. Hopefully all those R no votes come back to bite them in the a$$. If I’m an insulin user in Iowa or any state with R senators (and I have to believe that includes a whole bunch of voters) their little technicality BS excuse would ring very hollow with me.

  20. That’s comedic but only because it’s a representation of how weak and sensitive our society is. I assume dumb dumb football player isn’t paying attention because he’s texting on his iPad. Coach doesn’t like it so he reads aloud what’s on the iPad, but it contains a word that people of only a certain skin tone can say as nauseam. Player(s) get “offended”, therefore coach must go. Some animals are more equal than others.

  28. Hate to break it to you, but the system isn't changing. We'll be in more 4-2-5 looks than 3-4, but since the edge guys were OLBs it's actually one less big body than before. And I actually expect Wisconsin to be one of the teams where we do more of the 3 down lineman looks than normal. Depth was a big problem last year for sure- Allen is going to make some plays, but it helps when our nose tackle and best tackling safety were hurt, we were down to our 4th/5th string edge guys, and our 2 ILBs were running on fumes because they never got subbed out. Not to mention boneheaded plays like trying to body check tackle a RB that outweighs you by 40 pounds.

  30. I’ll ask again. Any reason why a simple insulin stand alone bill wasn’t presented? am I to understand the only way Dems would present this package was in a bill that went against Senate rules? There was no other option? Hmmmmmm

  31. I understand that but Coleman has to realize if Nebraska wins this year and gains his commitment and lets just say Nebraska gets a couple losses next year and makes a bowl but not a championship. What then? Is that good enough for Coleman to handle?? If not then why commit in the first place if he decides next year bc they aren't winning enough to transfer. Then was it the right reason to commit bc they won to gain his commitment. Your right about playing for top programs and nfl shot. I feel like Coleman would help the team as long as his persona doesn't get out of hand.

  33. First off, the only reason MJ left LSU is because Kelly did not opt to keep him. Secondly, the reason players such as Palmer left LSU is because they've had relationships with MJ from a very young age, and believed him when he told them that they could come to Nebraska - where the depth of talent is lower - and play early and often. As for Coleman, you're exactly right with your assessment: "Nebraska has to win in order for him to say yes." Like it or not, that's the college football world we live in nowadays. Top recruits want to play for top programs that give them the best shot at the NFL. MJ's success in placing guys in the league is one thing we have going for us. Being the highest bidder in NIL bidding wars is another.

  35. I understand he is playing it smart but he so called wants to play for a winner but its like Nebraska has to win for him in order for him to say yes. I understand kids want to go play for championship's but every kid on Nebraska wants the same thing as Coleman to win. I don't believe that Trey Palmer or Casey Thompson or other transfers don't believe in the product that Nebraska is trying to produce otherwise why come in? Trey Palmer yes followed MJ here but lets just say MJ went to a different school or not a high championship power program do you think he would have left LSU? You can say yes but he isn't going to a scrub school for his talent. He had to know Nebraska has struggled along with the rest of the kids here. All im saying Nebraska isn't Alabama and hope he realizes that.

So, now we have to continue to fund these pharma companies at absurd prices as they continue to make insane profits, or people won't get some unknown life saving drugs in the future?
