  1. It's been a while since I've seen Reservoir Dogs...was that the insecure character who constantly felt the need to seek praise from the other characters because of a prediction he once made?

  2. Sincerely, I general like your views and opinions. But I must say you are way off with your take. Indiana was 3-1 going into the game. Just 2 seasons ago they finished ranked #12 in the AP poll. They beat Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, Mich State, and loss to Ohio State by 7. And eventually lost to Ole Miss by 6 points in the Outback bowl. The year before they won 8 games. To keep saying they are a bad team (as you have been saying) is to disrespect them, and to brush off the Huskers win as if NU was supposed to just show up and win. In the last 5 years, our Big Ten conference record is 13-31, which means we have lost 70% of conference games. The other point is, there is no room to say "Even if we win a few more games over some bad teams".... I mean, who has the right to say that??? Our Huskers have never won more than 3 games in 5 YEARS. I hope you will eventually recognize that this was a good win, and maybe celebrate that the Huskers beat a good opponent and got it done (Hello Win Column!). Day by Day is the Husker motto, so let's embrace and not disgrace our opponent or our margin of victory.

  6. Chadwell has basically never coached outside of the state of South Carolina (2 years at East Tennessee, 19 years at schools in South Carolina). He would be completely lost coaching in the B1G. Ga Tech is a great fit for him.

  7. Well worth the 16 minutes to watch Mickey. I haven't bothered to watch the press conferences in years but he has changed that. Responds to the questions with short, succinct, honest answers and doesn't pull any punches. He tells like it is. Certainly easy to see why he is such a great recruiter. If I were the parent of a kid considering NU and Mickey was in the living room I'd have no reservations at all about sending the kid off for 4-5 under his guidance.

  10. Still. For our team where it is at. Winning this game is the ONLY way to build any belief that we aren't a throw away team. There is more talent and skill on our team than a 1-11 team, but mentally we could certainly be that team. So.. Now we have 2 wins, which proves we aren't that team. They can only do what they can do, one game at a time. Win a game, build on it, try again with a bit more belief, cohesion and tenacity the next week. We lose to Indiana? Wow, now that is a team that is truly DOA. At least we aren't that. I'll be happy with it for 4 more days.

  13. He voted against the CR - which contained $18 Billion of FEMA funding - because he thinks government in general is a waste. It's his own moronic fault. It would've taken longer on a legislative calendar to vote for it as a stand alone bill, and the politicians know it. However, the voters in Florida think Gubmint is bad, so their politicians vote against funding it. I say my tax money shouldn't bail out their poor choices, let the citizens of Florida pick themselves up by their bootstraps.

  14. Saying Illinois is bad doesn't take away from the win. Nebraska has struggled vs bad teams for many years. Its good that we did what we are supposed to do. Beating bad teams is step 1 in this whole "get back to being good" process With that said, Indiana is bad. ESPN FPI #79 SP+ #83

  15. I'd say it's even worse look for WI, Chryst doesn't have the national perception of being an a-hole and having cameras trained on him for outbursts like Bo did, there was some justification for firing Bo for his antics (not justifying it, just saying people were in favor of his firing because he was such an a-hole). By all accounts Chryst is a good guy, winning at 67% clip. IMO, this is a bad look for WI.

  19. I've always wondered if the turnovers and questionable decision making were a byproduct of him trying to do too much. We were constantly right on the verge of winning so he felt like he had to make a play to win the game. Because QBs tend to get too much credit when things go well and too much blame when they don't.

  20. I just listened to the end of the press conference. MJ said "one thing the kids can do is come talk to me." He also said he told Ty Robinson to go back to the old ways. I believe this is a telling about the former regime under Frost and Chin.

  21. I learned that we beat a very bad Indiana team, and the rest of the schedule is full of more very bad teams. Even if NU wins a few of those games doesn’t make NU a good team. It makes them the same as a bunch of other bad football programs. Would Mickey leading NU to a few more wins over some very bad Big Ten West teams give me enough confidence that he would build a consistent, top 1/3 of the conference team in the conference? I really don’t know right now.

  22. Word on the street is that Leonhard will be given every opportunity to salvage this season and win the permanent job but if he fails to impress Leipold will be their top target... Aranda may be on their radar as well i just hope that Trev has all his ducks in a row and has a plan that’s already been set in motion. We had a jump start on the coaching search and I hope he took advantage. The Auburn job will be open soon with plenty more to follow

  23. Ya. My bad, now I feel dumb. While at the game I saw it wasn’t Casey and so I assumed it was Logan as a mobile QB was what were lacking after the recent sack fest. The QB keep around the left on the first down okay was open for a mile and so it made sense in my head that we had put in our “wildcat” package. in the end. It was Chubba. Who knows what kid of wheels he has but certainly not sure he brings enough of a different dimension in that situation for the QB change to have made sense. Moral of the story? I’m too dumb to know which QB was in the game but had I been in charge, Logan would have scrambled us to 7 in our column instead.

  24. Guys like Matt Turman are hailed as heroes for having a tiny, tiny part of a National Championship season, while the Martinezes and Armstrong are treated like bums by so many fans because they didn't win enough.

  25. I always believed Adrien to be very good. Yes, he errorred. He owned up to it too. Running for his life much of the time. He was failed here in a lot of ways. The offensive line was neglected. Didn’t seem to be one of the top priorities along with special teams.

  26. Hey guys, I don't have a big update but just wanted to circle back to this after what transpired over the weekend. Obviously the coaching search is ongoing, and they haven't zeroed in on one candidate (from what I've heard at least), but Dykes is turning heads. He is clearly not afraid to swing and punch bigger, better, and more skilled teams in the mouth since he's done it everywhere he's gone. To me, that means he wouldn't be afraid to go into The Big House, Horseshoe, Happy Valley, etc which fires me up. Furthermore, his continuity of success is impressive which, in my opinion, is where we got into trouble with Frost. No doubt Frost had an unbelievable year at UCF but that's all it was. One year at one program. We had no way of knowing if it was him or his coordinators propping him up. After seeing Heupel's success at Tennessee, it feels like the latter. I thought the same thing about Harbaugh at Michigan until last year. Before Michigan, his defense was the reason for his success, but that unit was coached by Vic Fangio, one of the greatest defensive minds ever. At both SMU and TCU, Dykes has turned the team around quickly, beat bigger opponents, and maintained an explosive offense despite not having the same OC the entire time. That continuity impresses me. I hope you all give Dykes some serious thought because I think it would be a great hire for us.

  27. Yes, it is pretty amazing. You can't feel sorry for any of them. They make more in one year than most make in a lifetime plus they get the golden parachute buyout if they perform badly. If I was a weatherman - I'd cry unfair. "Where is my huge buyout for being right 50% of the time"?

  28. What I learned was that the fans are still invested in the team. From what I could tell from TV, the stadium was at least mostly full and had energy helping the team. That's good to see.
