Long snapper is one of those positions that never gets positively recognized but oh man will you hear a fan base squawk if the long snapper isn't perfect. They are invisible until they stink. I'm fine spending a scholarship on one.

I would give him more than 2 weeks to build the relationships that have been built for up to 2 years for this recruiting cycle. Huskerboard does have a page showing 2026 recruits with 7 players on there already.

Hey Huskers! I know there are many of you who may have questions concerning Kwinton. He was primarily a RB at our small HS, but was also active as a receiver and DB. He is 6'3", 180 lbs, VERY fast, and great vertical leap. Great hands, great moves, and physical. Because Palmyra is a small HS in NJ, he didn't get the attention that an athlete from a big program would get, but i will assure you, he is a keeper. Our offensive line was made up of primarily sophomores, and Kwinton quite often made things happen because of his own abilities. Had he been with a large school program, he could have excelled as a RB, WR, or DB. Our small program has sent 4 or 5 other former players to D1 programs in the past 6 years, and Kwinton is easily equal to or better as a a D1 prospect. He also excels as a basketball player and T & F athlete (check his bio on NJMilesplit.com).

You mention you think NU should hire an established name who has had success developing QB’s and getting them to the NFL, and then you think Joe Ganz should be hired when he his only coaching experience is at the FCS level. You are all over the place.

I know this will sound crazy...but hear me out..... I bet the staff is capable of recruiting more than 1 player at a time. It's a lot to think about. Def will blow some minds but I really think they can do it. If it is spots you are worried about, well I think we are going to be losing some players to this thing called the transfer portal. I mean, when it is all over, and we have a stud that gets left out in the cold bc/ we are out of schollies, be sure to come back and remind me.

He needs to spend scholarships on players rated higher than 0 stars. Recruiting isn't complicated. Let's not act like recruiting players unwanted by any team is a viable strategy. He doesn't have time. The roster already has no talent. The B1G is going to eat Rhule alive.

Rhule is going to find that it's a lot more difficult to pull off in the B1G. Frankly, it's unlikely to work. My hope was that he would use NIL resources to lure 4* talent and develop them... alas, just like his assistant staff pool, he's using those resources to acquire talent Nebraska could've gotten anyway.

Not necessarily. Depends on what you want your linemen to do. A lot of the time our linemen were read and react or just engage blockers to free up the LBs. If you want your linemen to get penetration and be disruptive you probably don't want them big and slow like our guys. From the clips I saw White had his guys stunting and moving a lot.

At one point, 247 had Stewart ranked as the 11th best player overall in this class because he is an absolute baller on tape. Great instincts and awareness, makes tackles you don't expect DBs to make at the high school level. Most college safeties don't have his awareness in run support. I think the perception is that he isn't very big and doesn't have the suddenness or fluidity that you look for in coverage at the next level. Same could be said about Ed Reed...and Mason Wald.

Fun fact about Lubick with that - according to Wikipedia (obviously the most trustworthy source) he had accepted the WR's job at Ole Miss, resigned that a month later to take the Co-OC/WR's job at Baylor, then two months after that, resigned at Baylor to take the Co-OC/WR's job at Washington so never actually coached with Rhule at Baylor, and somehow I get the feeling that Rhule wouldn't have much interest in him now, lol

You're way more optimistic than I. I think we struggle hard. Hiring Rhule was a long term play, since he's not a sitting coach. We are loosing too much to the draft/transfer and Rhule doesn't have the connections to poach off a current team like a sitting coach could, nor has he been out on the recruiting trail with established relationships. Next year will probably be worse than this year. The question is how do we rebound in year 2?

Being a former player at NU hasn’t proven to be an indicator of success. You are only considering him because you are familiar with him.

I feel like we've got enough projects at the QB position as the room sits now and we've been down this road with Luke McCaffery so personally I don't like it on the surface. Unless we plan on going back to running the option.

I was actually just about to post that I was worried that the staff might like other guys more. But apparently they just haven't had time to get to Georgia yet. So they're bringing him here.

I'd be interested in knowing specifically why, at Temple and Baylor his first years were 1 or 2 wins. Was it that he had to bring in all new players? Was it that it took that year to turn the culture around? Is what he asks players to do in his systems so much different from what they have done before that they are confused for a year? We have played some really good teams close the last 4-5 years. Yes, I know those are still losses and not moral victories. Don't need to go there. But, can he take that and build on it to where he can turn some more of those into wins? Or, are things going to change so much this year that a team with mostly the same players are going to be actually worse, before they get better? If, the new strength and conditioning coach can remake the linemen into more mobile and athletic players, maybe that's a trigger to win more games and not have a big drop back.
