Why do we need these threads when there are already threads for these recruits in the recruiting section?8 points

Sooo….a$$ hole fans message recruits because they can’t handle the idea of him going somewhere else….and the problem is the kid that simply says he hasn’t badmouthed Nebraska. O…k6 points

He is a 17/18 year old kid with hundreds of thousands of NIL dollars at stake & a potential NFL future. He has already done amazing work for the community given his position/age. It’s alright.6 points

There are always a few casualties in a transition class. It also doesn't help that we don't actually have a LB coach here recruiting yet. Plus, he has a chance to go to a playoff team so who can blame him. We'll be fine and I'm excited to see a full recruiting class from this staff next year.5 points

They play two different positions. Borders has done 0 at the college level. 1-2 tackles in two years. Hausmann had 54 starting the back half of the year as a true freshman. There is a reason OSU, UM, & iowa wanted him. Not gonna lie I get you’re trying to rationalize a loss but let’s be real here. They aren’t even close to comparable at least so far.5 points

Hello Jeff Sims. Wonder if we take Hornsby. Means Thompson is gone in that case but. Throws a pretty good amount of picks. Yolo bomb Tommy 2.0?5 points

I’m not looking for “exciting” in the head coach. I don’t want the coach to be the circus show that detracts from the players. I think Trev feels the same way. Also, when Prime leaves, the players will care more about him than CU and more will bolt for the portal. Rhule has the ability to build a much more stable foundation here.5 points

This thread is going to have more twists and turns than the Bookie/Owa/Darnay Holmes threads COMBINED. Look I know what we're all thinking and as long as he says he's gonna be cool. What about, maybe just this once we let Matty Ice come back?5 points

"I have relatives that are saying" is not anecdotal evidence? Ok. The link below shows in the latest 11 national polls listed that Trump is polling ahead of Desantis in 8. 8 out of 11. He's consistently above 35% and usually above 40 to 45%. Which makes my point. The fact that even after his crime sprees, his continuing assault on democracy and the constitution, his overt racism/antisemitism he still has even that much support shows he has a cult following. That's a problem for the Republicans. Combine that with his malignant narcissism and I go back to the question I asked you before. As a strategist what would you do to solve the problem of him potentially doing what narcissists do, destroying anyone and everything that they can't control, not whether or not he will win the nomination? Just hope he plays nice and bows out gracefully if Desantis wins the nomination? If you can't answer that's understandable. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-primary-r/5 points

And from watching film on Fields, I'm more excited to have him then Moore. You can't teach speed.4 points

No gonna lie, pretty surprised by this. The initial report about his visit was misleading but it really sounded like Hornsby was pretty popular.4 points

Just because there are a$$ holes in every fan base, doesnt mean they shouldn’t be called out as being a$$ holes. Which, he didn’t do. The idiots in this are the fans doing it.3 points
-
Also, this is a small majority of an entire fan base that’s treating him like that. If he is on social media than it’s an avenue for positive and negative comments to be said. It’s hurtful, but this seems a little over dramatic by him. Again just a small portion of the fan base acting like that, and yet he brought the attention back on himself as if an entire fan base is attacking him. Brush it off kid, the world will always have critics.3 points
-
They cared enough to have in home visits/etc with him. I think they care more than you think. They do however have a plan in place with fields.3 points

The Colorado thing seems like a reality show. Might be a good way to get some NIL. I don’t think this is going to work in the long term. Too many egos. Not enough budget or room.3 points

What are you, like 12 yo? Weren’t you around in the 80s & 90s? That would be a stable foundation. Sanders may bring some excitement and bling to a downtrodden program like CU but when he leaves, and he will leave there relatively soon, they will quickly fall back to where they were the day he showed up. Anybody that thinks his stint at CU ends any differently is fooling themselves.3 points

I love literal interpretations. BUT what I mean is....My 'poll' of 4 Trumpsters (who idolized him, believed he was God’s gift to America and that he would be president despite the fact he lost the election) no longer want him to run for president in 2024. These are people that do not take polls. It may be anecdotal to you all and I get it, but to me it means way more than a scientific poll. It’s a huge shift in attitude.3 points
-
I'm not sure how you can say it's not anecdotal evidence unless you don't know what "anecdotal" means. Oxford: anecdotal (adjective): (of an account) not necessarily true or reliable, because based on personal accounts rather than facts or research Merriam: anecdotal (adjective): based on or consisting of reports or observations of usually unscientific observers3 points

I realize it makes sense from a football standpoint. It just seems odd that he could graduate a year-and-a-half early at the drop of a hat. Perhaps he could graduate by May. Which would still work. But isn't as nice as enrolling in college for spring ball.3 points

Everyone was excited about Tyreke Johnson too at one point. Maybe a chance of a scenery will help but Florida wasn’t exactly good the last two years and this year he got beat out by two true freshman for playing time3 points

I don’t think “at will” comes into play at all since we’re talking about contracted employees. Otherwise UNL has grossly overpaid buyouts over the past 10 years…3 points

Almost every portal guy has a struggle or problem that leads to a transfer. If everything were perfect he probably wouldn't have been a portal guy. I'm guessing there is better, more important news than this non story.2 points

I’ve followed his recruitment from the beginning. Very interesting story and kid. So, I ask again. a$$h@!e fans message a recruit and the problem is the kid when he just says he hasn’t badmouthed Nebraska? sooo….are you the fan that messaged him and that’s why your upset…because your feelings are hurt….If not, that’s what you’re coming off as.2 points
-
I still don't think that Nebraska feels like this is a huge loss. Yes it sucks to lose his commitment but Nebraska isn't going to lose sleep over him and neither will I.2 points
-
Im not talking about Hausmann I was talking about Hayden Moore.2 points
-
Uh nah. He was being pursued by them before Rhule was even hired. This was always gonna happen. Michigan is a better program.2 points

If his decision comes down to what a random poster on a message board types….we’ll, enough said.2 points

I like Sanders, I am not going to lie about it. And I think it's great for college football and the Colorado Buffaloes that he's there. But, the only part that bothers me.... is that THEY HAVE to force him to hate red and Nebraska. I mean, imagine if you liked Joe Montana or John Elway (for example) and now, he has to hate Nebraska and the color of red. Isn't that some s#!t ~!!!! PS. I wish he had gone to Georgia Tech, because I've always liked the Yellow Jackets (and the classic gold helmet with GT on it).2 points

I'm not a big supercar fan but one is for sure an Aston Martin and the other looks like a McLaren.2 points
-
He would have been exciting to have here, and if we would have hired him, most of this board would be singing a different tune. With that said, Trev was waaaaay to smart to pursue this. He understood that Prime is a great coach, but is only using his first power 5 as a stepping stone. Trev wants foundation and Prime will not provide that. A few references this during the hiring process. I give him 3 years max. If he does not win, he will bolt to a warm climate and if he wins, he bolts to SEC.2 points

I can't image anything that would piss off Buff Fan more than hiring their rival's wife beating coach.2 points
