  1. SF is still well regarded as an offensive mind. If/when he is ready to get back in, he will at a minimum lane a good OC job somewhere, of that I have no doubt.

  2. Jesus dude. Why do you get so nitpicky and s#!tty about stuff? It’s a conversation ffs. Am I on the stand here giving testimony. For the record your honor I could see him going late in the draft or being a contributor as an UDFA. As has been previously mentioned who the hell knows. Other than you of course. You know all. d!(k

  3. If they did they would quit voting for the R politicians who have repeatedly proven they do not really support limited government. The Rs that claim to be for limited government only desire limiting Ds influence in government. It’s no more involved than that.

  4. True. Not sure why someone thought your comment was funny.

  5. That doesn't confirm vaccine mandates were stupid.

  6. I am excited watching this version of Huskers. The defense they play is stifling to most teams. It affects the other teams shooting percentage from about the second minute on by forcing teams late into the shot clock on nearly every possession plus we are boxing out so much better too. I think the maximum effort on defense affects our shooting at times because we don't have a deep bench. What Fred and the new assistants have done with recruiting and coaching is outstanding.

  7. Because football lasts more than 1 year? Because it takes times to turn around a bad program and he's done that? Seems like a silly question. You really can't figure out what the point of firing Frost was?

  8. I won't expect to make a bowl but definitely will be a bonus if we do make a bowl. Just show improvement that's all we can ask for.

  12. I don't think the majority of Republican voters really believe in limited government either.

  13. I really hope you’re kidding. just in case you’re not…..uh simply stated, Frost can’t coach. That wasn’t going to change at NU. He can craft some impressive offensive plays, but the day to day CEO part was just too much for his abilities. Maybe some day he’ll figure out some things and work his way up to a good HC job again, but I’m not seeing it. He’s better suited as an OC IMO. We need a reset with Rhule and again, in my opinion, have no business expecting a bowl game in year 1.

  14. Agreed, I really was encouraged by the confusion TCU’s D caused. I am really excited about what White can do at NU with his scheme.

  16. I saw what the team lacked the last 5 years. Coaching, mostly. For $74M we should get at least a little of that.

  17. Michigan has also given up 2 pick 6’s, have been stopped with no points twice inside the 5 yard line, and are getting out rushed 247 to 166. Michigan is way out of its element right now.

  20. I don't know that I would use the Fiesta Bowl to support the 3-3-5. While TCU has made some plays Michigan has 38 points on em with almost a whole quarter left.

  22. Michigan having its most success by attacking the D downfield, as that’s the weakest point of the D.

  23. I got the feeling that he was never that interested in us. I chalked it up to not wanting to come in one class behind Martinez - especially with the hype Martinez had after his freshman year - but it's hard to know for sure.

  24. I can see that. Im just not going into the season with the idea that we should make a bowl and am going to be upset if we don’t. When the season starts, I will fully be in the mode of, if certain things happen, we can go bowling….and then cheer like hell hoping it does.

  25. Right. At this point I’m not expecting anything. I think we are all a little shell shocked over the past few years. But I will not be shocked if we scratch out 6 wins on that schedule either. Pleasantly surprised yes but something about this coach gives me confidence that the darkness may be ending

  26. My bad then. I thought this was a thread about Sims.

  27. He wants to win long term, not just next year. You can't build a team long term via the portal, only supplement. You have to build from within, and that will take time. We aren't going to make a bowl next year, don't be expecting that.

  28. Honestly, I hope Allen beats him out. But it’s good to have multiple I-backs available.

  29. I never thought Nelson would stay. Why hang around for the first year of a rebuild and risk hurting your draft stock or getting injured. He got 2nd team All BIG honors and will get a nice paycheck for the next few years as a likely middle round pick. I would’ve scratched my head if he came back honestly

  30. The first tweet about the virus adapting now is not a reason for not having a vaccine mandate for the last two years. The second tweet shows what the IFR numbers were but it doesn't show that there should not have been mandates. The only way to come to that conclusion is either not caring about the elderly dying or stupidly thinking that there isn't transmission from one age group to another. I'd say it's one of the most ridiculous takes for covid but sadly it's not even in the top ten.

  31. I'm not plugged into conspiracies, but I figured his tax returns would illustrate the different game powerful Americans play when it comes to the tax code and how they pay very little. Simultaneously, it would show that Trump is a pathetic businessman who's companies lose money, showing that he's been a grifter for decades and his successful business persona is a facade. I know that this pretty much makes him an icon in conservative circles, but at least to me nothing was surprising about his tax returns and it just proves the guy you voted for twice is a pathetic moron.

  34. Where? I've been teaching for 26 years in three different states, K-12 and college. The only teachers that ever made that were professors at universities (and this is only bigger institutions) or administrators (not teaching). As for only working 9 months. Many teacher work on professional development (have to to stay certified), plan, and prep for fall classes during the summer. Most teachers have to get second jobs during the summer to help make ends meet. They don't get paid for the summer or any holidays/breaks.

  35. True I didn't say it was I was just stating that game was the most exciting college football game ever for me and for most bc of the back and forth big plays being made by both teams.

  38. Pretty sure macro was referring to a poster who claimed Rhule only has 1 year to get NU going.

  39. JoJo’s age hurt him in the draft, but his versatility enabled him to make the Colts as a UDFA (and the Colts being bad). Other than being able to play special teams, I don’t see Nelson having that same type of versatility. I don’t think Nelson is quick enough to play OLB in the NFL, especially against the pass.

  40. It will be interesting to see. Early articles (I think) had Sims saying that the staff told him they had packages for him. That made it sound like he was gonna play but CT was qb1. The way the staff talked about Sims after signing day was way more positive than I thought the stats or tape shows so…who knows? And if Hornsby commits here even more confusing. I have to believe we have some players moving on. Too many schollies in the room right now.

  43. You make my head hurt. Yes we have a few Sr., but there is a good core that's buying into this style of basketball. I think Fred is figuring out the Big 10.

  44. Yep! No s#!t. With that said, it is the hardest teaching job. But still... I got a buddy that is going 3 extra years...to get his "buyout" from his district...of 100K instead of 83K.

  45. I really like PeLLLLini the man, and he was a good coach with 4 non-conf games and playing crappy teams each year, such as ISU / Colo/KSU/Baylor/Minn/Illinois/Purdue/NW, etc... even OSU was awful one season, Wisconsin was horrible a few years, Penn State & Michigan played below average a few seasons. But I liked him and the bottom line was that he couldn't take the team beyond a certain ceiling with certain circumstances (ridiculously easy schedule). The pressure to win, the media, and also his NFL style to chew the clock with a lead the entire 4th quarter was super boring and exhausting.......just so they can beat an average team or whoever.... It felt like a 2 1/2 - 3 quarter game followed by a snooze fest. Woo. NFL style. I don't know if Sanders will lose 4 games each year throughout his 3 year contract, but he is taking over a super s#!tshow of a program for 15 years, with the exception of them having one or two good Pellllini years there. I think they just finished 1-11 (and several years of 3-5 win years). What makes it exciting for football is to see what it will be like in year 2 and 3. I think Colorado could pull out some wins next year, but I seen his son play QB and he floats a lot of soft passes that will get picked in a P5 conference. He's not bad at all, but I think there will be growing pains here and there. I guess to answer you question, I think Sanders will have CU becoming a top 25 team soon and will get 10-11 wins without playing 14 games to do so. If I get fooled, then we all getting fooled.
