We have been crap for the past 8 years playing in a weak division. What makes you think we would have been a better team playing in a tougher conference?13 points

I disagree and it’s not an either or situation. When the program is this close to bringing the #1 recruit that happens to play the most important position in sports at a position of great need, you’ve got to figure out a way to close the deal. His commitment alone will be a boon for recruiting the players you mentioned. Who do you think the top receivers want to play with?6 points

You're going to insist those reports are wrong based on losing the #1 recruit in the nation to the defending National Champions?6 points

Show me someone who is clueless about college athletics without using those exact words.5 points

Maybe the conversation went like this... Rhule: Hey Casey, we owe you this info moving forward. Dylan Raiola is N. Just don't tell anyone. Casey: Ok. I'll just show myself to the portal.... Losing Casey to the portal is a huge hit. No way to sugar coat it IMHO. When was the last time NU made it through a season with a healthy QB.....5 points

It wouldn’t be Purdy that’s for sure… I’ll see myself out5 points

I don't understand why people are so shocked by this. Backup QBs transfer. The writing has been on the wall since Sims was brought in. I think it was the signing day presser where Rhule raved about Sims for a minute and when asked about CT he said "yeah, he's a great kid". Toss in Rhule wanting the QB to be part of the run game and on top of that CT not going through spring ball. Also I think people are over inflating CT as bit. He was a fine QB, it's not like he was all-Conference level or anything. Doesn't have the strongest arm and floated a lot of throws. I know Palmer went nuts in the Purdue game, but CT missed A TON of throws in that game. 17/10 TD/INT ratio in 10 games is nothing to write home about.5 points

Funny that he put clips on his instagram the other day of him making a bunch of throws. I guess he was just showing prospective staffs that he is going to be healthy for fall.5 points

Tanner Lee in '17, but we might have been better off if he didn't. Not that the names behind him looked great.4 points

What a damn wuss and quitter. I hope all future employers take note of Casey Thompson bailing out just because Sims looks slightly better at this time. So Thompson is showing everyone he's only in it for his prima donna self and not a true team player.4 points

One problem with this idea is it's a sure gateway for Trump's reelection.4 points

Probably a group of five. I’m not saying I think he is going to be drafted but he is going to have to start somewhere if he wishes to pursue that route. My thought would be a Houston, UTSA, UAB, & or other group of 5.4 points

This is very unshocking. Casey wants a 100% gig to earn a shot at the pros. He is compared to Sims a worse fit for the offense and missed out on spring football.4 points

Does Gebbia have another transfer? He could go full circle. He could be good team morale. He could tell people about his Freshman season and all the difficulties around playing for Devaney.3 points

I'll stop making fun of Colorado now! I hope that is the case. I have more confidence in him than the other 2 .3 points

Its about the 8 players suing the B1G to play Garrett Snodgrass, Garrett Nelson, Ethan Piper, Noa Pola-Gates, Alante Brown, Jackson Hannah and Brant and Brig Banks filed the lawsuit, which does not seek damages greater than $75,000 but states that the Big Ten's postponement hurts the players' future football prospects and their ability to market and brand themselves. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/29753789/eight-nebraska-football-players-sue-big-ten-decision-postpone-season3 points

I didn't see either specifying that they had to both be at Nebraska. As long as Casey isn't a "backup" QB ....3 points

With CT leaving, I am guessing the door is cracked a bit more open on Smothers returning.3 points

The chances of a non running QB getting injured behind this line are already not low. See last year and Casey Thompson. Being able to run for his life is a plus.3 points

I don't see anyone "shocked". I see people disappointed, like me. I always knew this was a possibility, so I'm not "shocked". But, there are other teams that are able to keep two good QBs on the roster. For some reason, we can't. I see this as just another year where we go half the season in with decent QB play, he gets hurt and the staff has to figure out how in the world they are going to try to win with either of the other two QBs...which, probably isn't going to go well.3 points

Fuuuudge. Do not feel good about Sims being the guy with no one behind him. HH isn't close to being ready and Purdy sucks . Hope I'm wrong3 points

If we lose to the cluster f*&# that is Colorado this is going to be a long sad year. I don't see us beating Minnesota though.2 points
-
We aren't beating Minnesota on the road in the first game. I'll be impressed if we even beat CU to not start 0-2. CU will lose to TCU on the road, then we are the first home game for Prime Time in Boulder. It'll be a zoo, probably a night game, the place will be rocking and I could see us losing that also.2 points

No one is mentioning Masker. I thought he had one more year. I know he is 34 years old but give him a shot.2 points

Bit over the top there, he could have been asked to go.2 points

LMBO !!! Apparently, he won't be on the board until AFTER the Wisconsin game !2 points

You were right ! And from the very beginning they landed Sims too. I was wrong and therefor I shall take my medicine..... and man up. You won the bet homie Grrrr.... I feel like throwing up now2 points

No. It's a very good fit, even if your 5 minute thought experiment didn't come to the same conclusion.2 points

Ok 25% approve of Trump and at least another 15% would vote for any MAGA candidate including Trump vs any other candidate. Is that closer?2 points

Can't help but wonder if Marcus Washington will follow Casey again now. Good part at least is that Rhule and staff aren't publicly embarrassing the players that are leaving... like "Prime"2 points

He wants a guaranteed spot to be the guy. And maybe play in the pros.2 points

Not sure why people thought this would be some kind of instant transplant of wins. But yeah, we are lacking depth at a ton of key positions. And even top end starters.2 points

Only the top schools can upgrade OL through the portal, as you said there are only like 5 sure fire starters each cycle. We must develop HS OL, (and DL), in house if we ever want to be good again, period.2 points
