  1. This is the entire question and the entire answer: This should completely disqualify him as President. He's specifically asked about J6 defendants and immediately starts claiming the DOJ and FBI have been weaponized. If he thinks people being prosecuted for attacking our country, sorry....no....this idiot should not be President. He refuses to come out and say Biden won and the election wasn't stolen. Here he claims J6 defendants being prosecuted is an example of people being prosecuted because of politics. That's total BS.

  2. Let's start some unsubstantiated rumors: Barta was the "full time employee in the UI athletics department" that was found to be betting on sports and Kirk has the inside track to be the next AD. And then Kirk would name Brian the HC.

  3. Ummmm.....that's being pretty ignorant on the subject. I'm someone who gets pretty dang frustrated with the EPA with some of their rules. But, I'll even call BS on the bolded.

  4. For the most part I agree with you. But we only gave up one run in nine innings to one of the best offenses in the country last night.

  5. I'm not sure how anyone could be confident in the bolded. CU will be one of if not the most interesting teams to watch this season. Coach Prime will either look like a mad scientist genius or a colossal failure at seasons end with what he did with his roster.

  6. These topics sure do get discussed longer than required when one party can’t fathom that if no debt relief happened (as in the bill passes) then obviously interest was not suspended during that timeframe, and therefore people who were told “paused payments without interest” would owe that interest. But no, somebody in the discussion doesn’t see that specific wording, intentionally left out no doubt, so they keep going like they have a leg to stand on. FYI, he’s not going to get it, ever, because he doesn’t want to, so it’s probably best to ignore any further contributions.

  7. It's what Archy does repeatedly. Avoid the parts of a post that refute what he's said and focus on minor details to try to move the discussion to quibbling over the insignificant word choices.

  8. Not pictured: The seven points we spotted them on the first play of that game by letting them run the opening kickoff for a TD and being -2 in the turnover margin.

  9. What is hilarious is how in the bag you are for Rs. Only in your distraught imagination am I acting as you claim. It’s pretty easy for the non mentally challenged. The government told loan holders one thing, that loans would be paused at 0% interest, and now Rs have passed a bill that would cause interest to be charged on the last pause period. It’s not right, but that doesn’t matter to you because your party and your favorite politicians want to do it. It’s like you can’t think for yourself. Whatever the Rs want to do, there you are jock riding them. It’s so predictable it’s hilarious….and sad for the rest of us who are capable of thinking for ourselves. Back on the list.

  10. Alright, after spending far too much time researching this, and now knowing exactly where the property is located, it's pretty obvious it's part of a wetland system that has been in confirmed to existence for nearly 100 years. The major issue is that if you don't understand how wetlands work, then you would consider the property isolated from the main wetland on the other side of the road which feeds into a drainage channel, that feeds into a large creek, which feeds directly into the lake (US Waters); because it's intersected by a man made road. Just one look on google maps tells you that these two systems are historically and currently one. They no longer have an above ground connection, since the flow was diverted by the road and drainage channel, but there is no other way for the wetland on the property in question to exist unless it's linked to the major wetland on the other side of the road underground some how (that's basically what the EPA's field report said as well). While I agree that there needs to be a reasonable limit to how far the EPA can take their claims of US Waters, Alito is an idiot and this ruling literally doesn't pass the eye test. That being said, there should have been better communication with the property owners since they got the necessary permits from the state, but the EPA came in after the fact with threats and no realistic form of resolution outside of a massive cost to the owners. Clearly it wasn't a major environmental issue as the land still hasn't been cleared some 15 years later. This could be your worst take yet, and that's really saying something... Remember that Erin Brockovich movie? Remember Flint? Try searching for stories around the Detroit area about chemicals being dumped into creeks and streams.

  11. I'm not convinced it will be a red out like last time. Colorado people are more interested, Nebraska people felt burned last time and ticket prices are way higher than the already ridiculous last time. I'm not going this time and I work 15 minutes from CU.

  12. The problem there is you're putting the winning run on base. The guy behind him isn't a slouch either, and once you have the runner on first a double in the gap wins it - no longer takes a home run. Or a passed ball and a single, or other things that are more likely than a home run. Generally you aren't going to put the winning run on base, although given the outcome it's easy to second guess. If there were already a runner on second, no doubt they would have walked him to have force out opportunities and face the slightly worse hitter. But putting him on when the bases were empty introduces a lot more ways the next guy could end it.

  16. 1000% This. At our absolute worst we’ve still been able to out recruit our division and most of the conference at large. Get the right staff in place and the future is very bright. I swear, some people think college football started in 2015.

  18. Ok I see. Ground water isn't regulated under the Clean Water Act in all cases. But in 2020 the Supreme Court (surprisingly) ruled that certain discharges into ground water are cover under the act. Something like 700 billion pounds of pollution have been diverted from our waterways since the Clean Water Act was adopted in 1972. I guess now the fallback for drinking water safety now is the Safe Drinking Water Act but relying on that seems to be trying to close the barn door after the horses are out.

  19. We still get top 25 recruiting classes after 6 losing seasons in a row. We also saw less than a decade ago that a mid-coach with decent development can have a benchmark of 9 wins here. So if we have the right coach who can recruit well (unlike Pelini), and who can develop well (unlike Riley and Frost), why would we not be able to maintain being a top-15 team?

  20. Wow never thought anyone from CNN would this….the 2016 claims sounded like BS to me….just like the 2020 claims sound like BS For years, Donald Trump and his supporters pinned their hopes on the investigation by the former U.S. attorney for Connecticut, John Durham later named special counsel by AG Bill Barr, Trump and his allies arguing it would exonerate him from any hint of improper behavior regarding the Russian government’s attempts to interfere in the 2016 election…" Tapper told his viewers. "The report is now here, it has dropped, and it might not have produced everything of what some Republicans hoped for, [but] it is regardless devastating to the FBI and to a degree, it does exonerate Donald Trump." https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/justice/jake-tapper-durham-report-exonerates-trump

  22. I'm not one to tell folks how to live their lives or anything and I know Hood is out for the season but did Hood really need to announce he's in the portal today when the team if fighting for their season? Seems like a distraction for the sake of a distraction. Can't he just wait a couple of days? Regardless, best of luck to Hood in his next stop. He did a nice job as a high leverage reliever last year.

  26. Whoever purchases tickets to CU football this summer at these prices are likely going to be offloading the later games for much cheaper by the time they get to mid-season and realize that their team is still a joke. Too bad the Nebraska game is so early in the season. As soon as CU puts their product on the field with no depth and a bunch of FCS starters, interest will wane pretty quickly.

  28. Remember that time when Defender had weeks and dozens worth of empassioned, active and heartfelt condemnations of the progressive agenda and how its moral decay (as evidenced by the occasional drag show and trans child and sexually-topical books in libraries) was leading to the ruin of America? Then remember that time when confronted with the evidence of a morally reupgnant and rotten core at the center of the largest Christian organization in the country, and all he had to offer was a single post playing defense using the Bible to say that those people aren't real Christians?

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. ...

  31. Yes it is. And, omitting that the interest is not retroactive....is an important omission....meaning, it's not clarified....which means it's retroactive....because this bill basically says the debt forgiveness never happened. Words left out are just as important as words put in.

  33. Aaaaannnnnddddds, you totally dismiss his comment about uneven application of the law comment, again. And since you claim to have listened to the interview, you would understand he also clearly stated there are people arrested and convicted for offenses on J6 that he wouldn’t touch. And you would have also noticed his comment about a grandma, which you would then understand what case he is referencing and understand what type of people/cases would be looked at.

  34. The correct answer should have been: "On January 6th, our country was attacked by rioters and many of them did it with the intent of harming or killing our elected officials with the motivation that the election was stolen and Trump really won. They were motivated by a lie and the DOJ is correct in prosecuting the people who did that. Now, we also need to look at the DOJ and FBI and make sure they are prosecuting others that do similar things." Instead, he went right into claiming the prosecuting J6 defendants is evidence of DOJ being weaponized....which is BS.
