Mavs have had an awesome athletic year!

D1 has been good for the athletic department and university so far.  There is a lot of fringe talent in this state and region that may not be Big Ten or Big East level and UNO can scoop it up and be very successful with a lot of local flavor.

Mavs have cheap tickets, free parking, play a fun style, have a few local guys and if they can keep winning could certainly find its niche in the Omaha sports scene.

Most likely going to have to knock off SDSU and Daum again in Sioux Falls to get there.  There is no reason Omaha can't compete for the Summit bid every year though.

The conference tourney can be chaos, I hope the Mavs can finish strong here and claim the league title.  Guaranteed at least an NIT bid then.

It is laughable that half of D1 programs have literally 0 chance at the crown.  That is a broken system,  at least basketball will give you a chance and every once in a while a nobody will run to the final four or title. game(volleyball, baseball and other college sports allow for them too).  There is ZERO opportunity for those programs in the current scenario.

Go to 8 playoff teams.  5 auto bids, 3 at large with a spot carved out for a Group of Five as long as they are 11-1 or 12-0.

It isn't hard and arguing for 4 is arguing the wring side of history.  It will eventually change.

Comparing the Raiders to the US is a major insult to the country.

I sat on a murder case that lasted 8 days about 5 years ago.  It was really interesting to see how the system works and actually gave me some optimism in the system to see how serious the 12 of us from all corners of society took our role.

Volleyball is more exciting anyways.  Plus Penn St is a better rivalry than the football team will have in years.
