  1. Luka going nuts at the moment.
  2. Union Omaha the local pro soccer squad, essentially at a single A minor league baseball level, just knocked off MLS Chicago Fire at Soldier Field.

Maybe they need to move up to MLS?  Mostly joking.  What would be interesting is that this would be the only "major league" professional sports franchise in the state of Nebraska.....and it's soccer.

It would be interesting to see how many fans in the state would get behind it.

      I AM FOOT FOOT

That's pretty cool!! And to chime in the BRB I've always thought when these other football leagues start up its stupid not having Omaha or Lincoln having a team. It's football and Nebraskans will fill the seats

Nothing against the Chicago Fire, but they had it coming!!! :woo

  3. That Duke Carolina game was one for the ages. Genuinely as fun as it gets. Kansas Carolina looks like a great one too if Bacot's ankle is healthy
  4. Haha! Tried to play the game right. 1. Zodiac. David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club, the Social Network, Gone Girl) directed movie about the Zodiac killer. A bit long, but I just love it. Fincher's best work imo. 2. Days of Wine and Roses. Its a black and white film from the 60s about a couple that ruin their lives with alcoholism. First watched it at a wine bar with a girlfriend on a Tuesday at like 2 PM haha. There is one scene in particular in a greenhouse that is incredible. I think it stuck with me b/c of the irony of day drinking wine watching Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick ruin their lives with booze. 3. Chinatown. 70s crime and corruption movie I like it more than the Godfather films of the same era. 4. Logan Lucky isn't any kind of award winner, but its fun as hell. Heist movie by the Oceans 11 director, but blue collar West Virginia guys robbing a NASCAR race instead of guys in suits robbing a casino. Just a fun light hearted movie. Was between this and The Nice Guys for my 4th.
  5. This guy hit a walk-off grand slam last night against the horns. Talk about a hell of a weekend.
  6. He's probably landing at Seton Hall, their coach is going to Maryland. Holloway played at Hall and was an assistant there for like 10 years.
  7. Well, the AFC West is going to be brutal.
  8. The refs put Trey in a terrible position on that play. He must have barely clipped the Wisconsin player's foot and the ref didn't blow the whistle until he lost his balance; they had each gone like 25 feet after the trip (not totally sure he actually clipped him I need to see the play again) and he began to take off for the layup. Trey and the Wisconsin player both kind of let up mid jump and clearly got him in the face when he brought his arms down instead of going for what would be a block attempt. I doubt it was intentional, but it was a hard hit that caught his face.
  9. Nice to play spoiler for Bucky's senior day. Unreal effort considering...well everything.
  10. The ACC must be atrocious for a 22-8 Carolina to be on the bubble before this win, but them playing spoiler on Coach K's night has got to be as good as it gets for their fans and for this rivalry.
  11. I get why this has to happen, can't just turn over again and start over with that buyout number. It is just insane how bad Hoiberg has been though. According to Wiki the last season before Fred with single digit wins was '72-'73. Fred is going to fail to get to 10 wins in 3 straight years now.
  12. They were playing their way into a tourney bid with 3 freshman and a D2 transfer playing major mins. Nembhard should still be Freshman of the Year in the Big East. They lost all 5 starters from a Sweet 16 team, arguably had to retool more than any other program in the country and seemed to make it work well beyond expectations. Maybe McDermott's most impressive season.
  13. This was taken the day after Ukraine declared independence from the Soviet Union in front of the Communist Party's headquarters. Ukraine will fight and I hope we support their right to self determination. With force if necessary.
  14. Hopefully he is gone. Him supporting freezing trucker protester's bank accounts is authoritarian and should be completely rebuked by anyone that believes in the the right to protest and personal liberty. He is an enemy.
  15. Robert Reich can get bent. His whole twitter brand is economic equality yet fought to kill affordable housing in his neighborhood. f#&% that guy.
  16. Lets not get skunked in conference. I looked back the past 15 years and nobody went winless in conference.
  17. I don't listen to Joe Rogen, when my friends that like him ask why I don't give him a chance I always told him b/c I don't need the guy that got people to eat horse d!(k for money to have an influence on me. That said I also saw a tweet yesterday that I can't find now, but the jist was one of the best things about America is you are allowed to be an individual to be weird to think something different. The people mad at Rogen want uniformity, they want you to take the activist journalist class as gospel. They want you to think and act exactly like them. Sure Joe isn't an academic, doesn't get everything right, is kind of a dummy, but he is liked b/c he doesn't parrot the approved media taking points, from either side. He asks questions that normal dudes think about not ones put together by a corporate producer. I personally think that his podcast is a good thing and I also never plan on listening to his podcast. I also think that the people pushing for him to be de-platformed are in the wrong and are actually dangerous to our society. Far more dangerous than Joe.
  18. Haha I did not know Frank Martin shaved his head. Looks even crazier when he gets pissed then he used to!
  19. Nightmare Alley is on HBO Max now. You need to be in a certain kind of mood b/c it isn't an easy going watch, but I really enjoyed it. I think the movie from the last 20 years I would compare it to most is Shutter Island. Both are pretty heavy psychological dramas and have an interesting take on the time period.
