  1. I actually really like this concept! Well done! As someone who used to have tickets in South Stadium for many many years and has since moved to East Stadium they HAVE TO do something with South Stadium. Doing nothing is not an option. The further Nebraska waits to upgrade this section of the stadium the more it will continue to fall behind the times in terms of amenities, fan comfort, and safety regulations. Also the longer they wait to do something the more of the cost for materials will continue to increase. The project needs to: Connect the concourses of South Stadium with East & West. Improve fan amenities and comfort with seatbacks and easier access to restrooms and concessions. Improve the handicap accessible areas to comply with current safety regulations. Slightly reduce overall seating capacity. Specifically with the above concept I would love to see: Students and band moved to the lower section of the bowl to give them their own area. Maybe raise the upper section to where the top is about halfway up the height of the big screen. While Trev's original concept should be praised and get credit for its ambition, the truth is it was simply too big and too expensive. The upper deck in Trev's concept looked more like Arrowhead Stadium. I think by shrinking the design to something similar as the picture above strikes a good balance in reducing the cost of the project while also still addressing a major need. At the end of the day Nebraska MUST do something with South Stadium. They can't wait...but they can scale back the overall design.
  2. I'm normally not at a loss for words - but this official news today has left me absolutely speechless. How bad is it really in Lincoln for the University to lose its Chancellor, President and Athletic Director (who is a former football star All-American) all in less than a year. Nebraska is in some serious trouble right now.
  3. I learned that what everyone said after the first game of the season turned out to be true: The Minnesota loss looms large today. Rhule and Satterfield hitched their wagon to Sims, and it was a complete whiff. We'll never know, but if we had a different quarterback for that Minnesota or Colorado game we wouldn't have been in this must win situation today.
  4. I learned that Iowa in the 2nd half had: 0 points (before the final field goal). 0 First Downs 0 Passing Yards 24 Rushing Yards Nebraska had the ball with 31 seconds left, and still lost in regulation. Definitely time to look for a cold beer.
  5. Both of those guys will no doubt improve their draft stock by coming back next year, especially if Tony White stays and they get to grow with his system. If they can build some depth behind them I like the possibilities of our defense next year. With that said, they do need to spend the offseason getting offenses off the field on third down. We gave up way too many third and longs the last few games this season.
  6. I think Rhule should make some changes to the offensive staff this offseason, but sadly I don't think he's going to.
  7. Nebraska has played 68 games since 2018. 38 have been one-possession games. The record is 8-30.
  8. On the positive side Ty Robinson and Nash Hutmacher are DUDES! They played their tails off these last few games. Huge plus having those guys back for next year's defense.
  9. Before the game I was mentally prepared that we were most likely going to lose this game, in some crazy fashion. I know we have the injuries to our running backs and O-line, but even still - until we have an Offensive Coordinator who specializes and favors the running game we will not be a good program. Rhule has the same/sometimes worse clock managment and game management decisions as Frost - and that's saying something! They were 5-3 and only needed to win 1 game and couldn't do it! Any good will Rhule and staff built up with this fan base at the 5-3 mark will all have to be regained.
  10. This loss now adds to these stats: 29 one-score losses in the last 6 years. Nebraska hasn't scored in an overtime since 2014. (That's three different head coaches).
  11. We can complain about the time management at the end of the game...AND WE SHOULD...but let's also not forget that Satterfield's offense failed to score any points for 45+ minutes of game time. Satterfield needs to go.
  12. Rhule is now 1-4 in one score games at Nebraska.
  13. Watch Wisconsin on this final TD play Nebraska coaches. Study it. Learn it. THAT'S what old-school Nebraska used to be like.
  14. Fickel just showed what Rhule should have done in the 1st quarter on our 4th & 1. It's called POWER. FOOTBALL. Nebraska used to know what that was.
  15. We had Wisconsin on the ropes, and I think we could have won the game if we call our time outs earlier. It shouldn't be that hard.
  16. We could have 30 extra seconds on the clock if we call those time outs sooner. That extra time gives you the option to call some runs. Unbelievable.
  17. WE HAVE THREE TIME-OUTS!!! I haven't been a fan yet of how Rhule manages the clock.
  18. We need more designed QB runs for Purdy. QB Draw QB Dart with a pulling tackle. QB Power. The kid has legit wheels.
  19. Oh what the heck... If Satterfield wants to pass let's roll the dice one more time... I would go Belly-G Option-Pass on one of these first two plays.
  20. They actually did on the last QB run play, but our spy still got blocked and moved out of the play.
  21. This offense has an average of 2 or 3 amazing drives per game, and then it seems they get all excited like "we're going to win!" ...and then they forget they have 60 minutes of football to play.
  22. Come on offense! How many chances has this defense given you this year?!? Here's another opportunity - NOW GO TAKE IT! EARN IT. FIND. A. WAY.
