Kudos to Matt Rhule there on that time-out. Could clearly read his lips where he said "guys that timeout is not your fault, that's our fault - that's our fault." First sign of a great coach is taking ownership of your mistakes.

Rhule has done that a lot throughout his coaching career. He did it a lot when he was at Baylor.

To my eyes it sure looked like Rhule was calling plays on that drive.

If we do pass, Maryland's secondary has been keying in hard on Sims and Emmet Johnson. The tight-end to the flat or corner could be open.

I don't care how frustrating the game is or how hard it is to watch this Nebraska team...this kind of crap SHOULD NOT HAPPEN! I hope they find whoever this "fan" was, sober him up, and ban him from future games.

Rhule pretty much hinted at halftime Sims would be the guy starting the 2nd half. Whatever running game / read-option offense Nebraska was cooking up at the beginning of the year, we need to see it show up in the 2nd half. OFFENSE Run the ball. Embrace the challenge of only running it. (This game is won or lost through the O-line, Emmett Johnson, and Sims running ability) Keep Maryland's offense off the field. If we do pass, the flats and seams were open. DEFENSE Keep doing what you're doing. Maryland had 0 rushing yards, and 186 yards all through the air. The stunts on the line are working. Be willing to send 5 on third and long, and trust your coverage.

Well we learned on thing in that first half: Nebraska is going to be VERY busy in the portal this offseason.

Well, I had the split-zone lead puller right, but we completely whiffed on the blocking. Ugh!

I would either give it to Johnson here on a Split-Zone or call a QB-Keep with a lead puller for Simms.

Emmett Johnson is growing up fast. When the O-line can give him a crease he is gashing them for 6-7 yards. RUN THE DAMN BALL!

It is. All the more reason why WE NEED the bowl game just for those developmental practices alone.

If I see one more punt returner put his feet anywhere behind the 10-yard line before the ball is punted I'm going to lose my mind! Put your feet on the 10-yard line...there is a cliff behind you...if the ball goes over your head and you try to catch it, you're dead.

My biggest worry with Sims coming in is that Satterfield is going to be giddy to dial up the passing game. Buckle up everyone.

Coaches have tendencies. They either have a pass-first mindset or a run-first mindset. Unfortunately for Nebraska, Satt is the former.

Just put the game on the O-line and running backs. Live or die with it, but take Haarberg's passing out of the game plan.

Our starting field position for the most of this year has been atrocious.

Rhule needs to be in Satt's ear from here forward to take the game out of Haarberg's hands and live or die with the run game. IF WE DIE, WE DIE!

We still only rushed 4 there, but did a nifty stunt with the line which caused some confusion for Maryland.
