  1. First possession TD. Great start.
  2. The difference is that they're talking about one particular game while you're talking about the entirety of his career. I only see criticism of Fitzgerald in this sense from Huskers, that's not to say others don't do it - I'm sure that they do, but I've only seen it, and it's especially prominent, from you all. I get it, he's beat you all a couple of times, he's beat Wisconsin and Iowa as well and it's annoying as hell. You're thinking like a Nebraska fan. A 10 win season is success for Northwestern. Fitzgerald is a great coach. What he's accomplished at Northwestern proves that. - Most total wins at 87, next closest is 49. - Most bowl wins at 3, next closest is 1 - Most bowl games coached at 8, next closest is 3 - Highest win percentage in the modern era (since 1945) - Highest win percentage by an HC to have coached more than 3 seasons - Fourth highest win percentage behind W. H. Bannard (coached 1898 team), Alvin H. Culver (coached 1895-1896 teams), and Walter McCornack (coached 1903-1905 teams). He hasn't had a Gary Barnett, Rose Bowl type season, but his record has been impressive. Is he Nick Saban? No, but he's got to be among the top 20 active coaches in the country.
  3. I like Penn State's chances but I'm not so confident about Wisconsin with it being a home game for Miami. I'm going to predict 6-2 for the Big Ten.
  4. I'm comfortable saying this one is over. 5-0
  5. Can we call it now? I'm going to tentatively call it. 5-0
  6. How would you describe Fitzgerald then? I feel like I've discussed this with someone else on HB, it might have been you. I'm not sure what Husker fans have against the man, I've only heard this kind of talk from you guys.
  7. I know I'm jinxing this by writing it at the beginning of the 2Q but....5-0 looks pretty close right now. Buckeyes running away with it.
  8. In game he's average to below average with incredible moments of retardation. In every other aspect, by NW standards, he's an amazing coach.
  9. I really like that they're playing the Rose Bowl early this year.
  10. ESPN just did a closeup of Bryce Love's bloody glove in a trash can and zoomed on him through the mesh window of a medical tent. I'm not a fan of this type of sports journalism. Trashy stuff. Give the kid more respect than that.

Yea, have some consideration for the family as well.

  11. So my prediction was horribly wrong but I'm cool with it. MSU is strangling WSU. I'm calling it now 3-0
  12. That's going to be a really interesting game. It's either going to be a strangle of a game with MSU winning close, or MSU is going to get blown out.
  13. Both were very good games.
  14. Dang, lost track watching the Texas game.
  15. He could still choose to commit there right? They're just not allowed to talk to him anymore? 95% of the time I don't mind Herbstreit but he does occasionally show a bias, as they all do at times.
  16. hmmmmm, Maryland.....

@TonyStalloni agreed. You’d think this was a backroom at Shakers or something...

  17. Tenn. has hired Jeremy Pruitt, who doesn't know what asparagus is.

In the end, he is the most successful person from that show. Which, is surprising?

What makes this guy better than Schiano?  Because he is the DC at Alabama, so he must be good?

Idk, I never said he was "good" or better than Schiano.

I'm just saying he clearly has had the most success since "2 A Days" lol

  18. Wider question for the group: Does Fleck make it work at Minnesota? How do you see his tenure?
  19. lol, you're the second person to tell me that. Watched it last night. It was really good!
  20. Watching Shot in the Dark. It's about independent journalists competing to cover events at night in LA. They sit in their cars with police scanners and wait for accidents, shootings, crazy stuff, and then race across town to record it all and try to beat one another in selling the footage to local TV stations. It's kind of cool, I'm enjoying it.
  21. Thanks jaws, it's always nice talking with you. Hope you've been doing well.
