  1. Yep, it's because they play really intelligently, until they don't. https://cf-e2.streamablevideo.com/video/mp4/lgull.mp4?token=1506817476-egKEJPOMRsHJhhWV6z%2BLWrGbGeOh4vAj6UZwQlVTNWw%3D I forgot how to inbed stuff in to posts...but anyhow, if some team could somehow poach Fitzgerald out of the Big Ten that'd be just swell though that will never happen.

    B1G Week 5

Penn State is scary, I think they may drop a game in their Michigan, @ Ohio State, Michigan State run but they'll win the conference.
  3. I don't know what to make of this game because we have yet to play a good team, Northwestern doesn't count because we always have really wacky, twilight-zone type games with them. I think Hornibrook was a little rusty from the bye and was lost without Fumigalli, he had impressed me up until this point but we haven't played anyone decent. I think he'll do better against Nebraska with Fumigalli back and facing what looks like a bad NU pass defense. If we lose it will be because of turnovers and failing to get the passing game going. I have confidence our defense can rattle Lee and cause him to make a key mistake. I think this game will be close and low scoring, I'll pick UW 21, NU 17. I say all of that without having watched a full Nebraska game this year so I could definitely be wrong.
  4. Which of the following coaches will be the first to be fired?

    Bielema

    Butch Davis

Yea, agreed. None of these games are easy to pick. As a conference we could go 8-2 or just as easily go 2-8. These are close.

My Picks: Maryland vs. Boston College (toss up) Minnesota vs. Washington State Northwestern vs. Pittsburgh Indiana vs. Utah - won't be close Nebraska vs. Tennessee (toss up) Michigan vs. Florida State - won't be close Ohio State vs. Clemson - close, turnovers will be key Iowa vs. Florida - toss up but Iowa is trending up and UF is trending down Wisconsin vs. Western Michigan Penn State vs. USC 5-5

  19. They would be in this game if not for his idiot calls.
  20. I'm loving every minute of this so far. I have nothing against PSU, I actually kind of like them, but I wanted to pound them given how the media had practically awarded them a win before the game was even played.
  21. If that happens, Charlie Strong will be headed to tOSU. Why would Fickell take that job? He seems like an Ohio guy through and through and could easily parlay his DC time into a far better job than FAU. Weird
  22. So in other news...Eastern Michigan just posted their first winning season since 1995

Don't all the Michigan Universities have a winning record this year? Well, outside of Sparty that is.

  23. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Kiffin. Talking heads were mentioning that Orgeron may try to poach him from Saban. Personally I'm interested in seeing what happens with Bielema. Hog fans are already calling for his job but I think he'll get one last year.
  24. You have to look at the move holistically, not just from a football perspective: Pros: - More Money - Better Basketball - Better Football - Better Academics - More egalitarian conference; are you listened to as much as OSU or UM? No...but they don't dominate in the way that UT does in the Big XII - Better Competition (3 other elite programs vs 2 in the Big XII). Cons: - Harder to recruit in Texas - Worse Baseball - No rivalries/Oklahoma (yet) - Longer drive for road games I would think...the only easy-ish one for you guys now must be Iowa...no KSU, ISU, KU anymore I think you guys came out alright all things considered and definitely not the worst deal of all schools that moved; Rutgers sucks. Maryland sucks. Texas A&M gets hype but the wheels fall off every damn year. CU looked like a bust until this year. Football is cyclical. You'll be back again soon enough. I'm curious as to what you mean by this, what do you want the conference to change? You want a better end of the year game? You want the refs to give you calls in big games? You'll have to outbid OSU.
