  1. I am not sure this is even a valid argument right now. Saben hasn't finished coaching yet. We have no idea with "Skeleton's " will come out of the closet once he does retire. I think Saben is an incredible coach, he always has his team ready to go in the big games. Not sure how you could fail in today's climate if you are the coach at Alabama. I think we need to hold off comparing the two until Saben hangs it up. Then we can speak apples to apples.
  2. We could look back at the same threads from 3 years ago and 10 years ago and see the same posts. It comes down to what the kids are willing to put into it. The S&C coaching staff can only put them in a position to succeed/improve. After that, it’s all on them.
  3. I am not taking anything away from a 12-0 season, however, we will see how well Milton plays in the bowl game against Auburn. AAC is nothing like the B1G or SEC, this will be a huge test for Scott and his offensive scheme. I can’t wait to see his offense in Lincoln, but I think we will learn a lot about the offense and the type of QB he will need here at the Peach Bowl. With all that said, I voted for a transfer as the starter. Hopefully, Scott won’t make the same mistake as Riley by trying to adjust his offense around a QB that can’t run it. Go get what you need now, because all the honeymoon stuff will disappear quickly if they aren’t winning.
  4. Minimal compared to others.
  5. Very objective read. This is how I felt after the game. Nothing to get to high or low about this game. It was a unique offense we were facing. Not unique in their style, but their tempo and desire to keep doing the same thing over and over until there was a mistake. I don't know what we did to change it up in the 3rd qtr, but it worked. I had heard that Coach D kept things very Vanilla this game to avoid giving Oregon much to look at for next week. I think we will see a much better performance in Eugene.
  6. They were talking about this on "Over Reaction" as well, and stated they thought he didn't speak after games at ND either. I don't see an issue with it. As long as he don't talk to the press when they do well in a game. That would be a major issue for me. All or nothing is fine with me. I don't need to hear from him anyway, he is not the Head Coach.
  7. Let it be by the code, faith and honor held high
  8. If it is a game into the 3rd Qtr, we are in for a long season.
  9. So right about where we finished in the rankings last year. He might be on to something.
  10. I went to every single home game from 1977-1984. My grandmother ran a concession stand in the South End and my aunt ran one in the North End. It is incredible to think about all the games I watched and all the players that came through program during those years. My last game I seen at Memorial Stadium before I shipped out for Boot Camp was a loss to Oklahoma 1984. Then I came back 10 years later and watched us destroy CU in 1994 and 1995.
  11. Whats up with #36's dirty as pants. Otherwise, nice promo.
  12. The fact that Lee will be a threat in the short and medium passing game will keep the offense honest. Last year, every defense we faced knew that TA could only throw the bomb so they would tee off. They wont be able to do that this year. As for the running game, you will see 6-7 man boxes not 7-8 man boxes. Lee is a threat in the passing game, TA was never a threat, they were begging him to throw.
