  1. We have an ant invasion this year.  Tiny black ones and also dark red large ones. I have used many of the "ant traps" that they are supposed to carry back to the nest.  They just laugh at it.  Even had the big ones start a nest inside the freezer door of the fridge and start removing the white foam insulation one tiny piece at a time. I would rather not spray every square inch of the property because of grandkids. Any solutions?

We've set out apple vinegar traps before and they have worked; we always get ours on our kitchen counters so I haven't used the spray before.

I have a non toxic peppermint based spray that kills on contact but it only seems to work until it evaporates.  I'm curious about the apple vinegar traps. Is this something you make or purchase?

@TonyStalloni I just make them; I'll put a bit of apple vinegar into a container and set it near where the ants are coming in at, and they'll climb right in and drown. I've made them as small as a Gatorade cap, or as large as a disposable tupperware. It'll also work with fruit flies if you put some plastic wrap over the top and poke some holes in it.
