  1. You're free to think that Bo Pelini was on staff at Nebraska, Oklahoma and LSU before he was a head coach and "just didn't get" recruiting if you like. It's not very likely though. Because they are the same...Right It would be like going from a store manager to being the CEO. There is a difference between being a coordinator and HC when it comes to recruiting. As an assistant, you recruit where you are told too and who to recruit, while being a HC means you are the one that determines where the guys go and who to offer. Folks like Freeze seemed to make the transition...... Hugh? "seems" is pretty accurate. His success/failure is still up for grabs. As a recruiting comparison (which stumpy and redux are in a kerfuffle over) it's not up for debate.

  3. Ha. Yeah I'm really sure he's going to lift a bunch of sec talent over to Penguin country.

Is it weird after watching about 40 episodes of PArks and Rec, i now like you more just because of your avatar... I dont think its weird.

  6. was he really feeling the heat after beating ohio st. in 2011? Beyond that, he just decided, right then and there that he was going to leave? No, methinks he had NU in mind as a springboard for awhile. Otherwise, he tries to recruit at least a little and he doesn't force Taylor onto the scene, let alone play him hurt later on. In hindsight, 2010 was a desperate all in attempt, future be dammed.
  7. Boy whay a goal that would be, last a few more years while giving us the same or worse record we got with Bo! Callahan didnt care about this place and it showed on the field. Bo did care but was at ends with the administration and in over his head in select areas and it showed on the field. My ass Bo cared about this place. He saw it as a way station to future glory. Otherwise he might have gave an ounce of a sh#t about recruiting his first few years here. And he damn sure wouldn't have said what he said after OSU 2001 or acted like a desperate contestant on The Bachelor every time a job like Miami or Arkansas came up. Bo should write Callahan a thank you note, one for handing him teams with more talent he could ever get here and the other for driving the bar so low there are still Bo supporters here. Oh and Callahan was bad also.
  8. Well time for a few hours of staged pseudo sports. But I suppose I could watch the Royal Rumble if the Pro Bowl really is that bad.

  9. Spent some time on Tedmcginley.com today. Really solid website, you guys.

  10. POLO THOUGHT: When a mod makes vague references to random punishments he/she can make, seemingly on a whim, isn't that itself, a troll?

  11. That's probably not a great assumption to make. And one likely to annoy your fellow board members. Perhaps not randomly casting aspersions, actually knowing what and to whom you're speaking, would be a better choice. I mean, you can go back in this very thread and see the tides change.....
  12. Is there some grand sociological point being made here? What windmills are we tilting at? There aren't any imaginary enemies here Sancho, I just find it funny there are people who want to kick Stringfellow while he's down, and one of the only reasons is that he decommitted here. While some might be kicking. I believe the majority is rejoicing that we dodged this bullet Ha. Well I doubt that. Either way, I respect your opinion, so we part as friends. Until the next time, kimosabe... Strong guy to guy. Really makes it all worthwhile, you guys.

There aren't any imaginary enemies here Sancho, I just find it funny there are people who want to kick Stringfellow while he's down, and one of the only reasons is that he decommitted here. Ah. Glad you explained that. Because it seems like you're just raking muck for the sake of raking muck. And that would be trolling, and not allowed, and there would be consequences. But if you're really defending the honor of Demore'ea Stringfellow against those who are unjustly persecuting him in this thread, I'm sure that's laudable. Who, exactly, is doing this here, by the way? Did you just call William Randolph Hearst a troll? Without going back and looking at who was totes stoked at Stringfellow transferring here and now all too eager to cast stones, I'm willing to assume there's some overlap. But there is a funny point that people here are allowed to "not let Stringfellow go, he doesn't play here", but heaven forbid someone disparage Bo in a thread lately.......

  15. Is there some grand sociological point being made here? What windmills are we tilting at? There are none. He's just talking out of his backside and throwing shade at husker fans. Awwww.

  17. jeez. that is bad. bo never should have recrecruited him. Yep.
  18. Perspective on the charges and circumstances would be wise.I agree. Polo, you're off base a little with regards to Moss.Flashing dong to a girl then returning to the scene of the crime and violating terms < disorderly conduct..If I'm a little off base, it's only a little. They've both done some monumentally stupid things. Repeatedly. Although digging up this dead thread about a guy who doesn't play here just to kick him around and mock, because it somehow justifies something or makes someone feel better about god knows what is stupid too. Moss exposed himself and returned to the place he did it. That equaled one strike. He stepped foot on campus one day early to violate the terms. He said it was an honest mistake. I guess you can call this strike 2 Stringfellow's history of assault is egregiously worse than Moss and the 2 don't compare. His history of assault was forgivable when he was a Nebraska commit. And I'm betting there would be people here willing to forgive the latest one had he stayed here.
  19. Probably because you don't understand the concept as Ron Brown sees it, or for that matter, myself. There are what people are, and there is what people do. Ron Brown is black...he was born that way, he wakes up that way every day. Homosexual people are categorized by what they do. They wake up and do something that is homosexual like in nature...it's a choice. Fred Phelps, everyone.
  20. I mean, the fact he brings up taking away playing time and penalizing a player without a prompt says a lot. Wow...reading a heck of a lot into that statement. Meh, I really don't care either way. There is a lot about Ron Brown that I respect and love. Hell, I wish I look like him at age 60, it's just really too bad he's got some really regrettable quotes out there. Your statement just sounded like. faithful Husband = hmmm...that woman is pretty. Wife = gives him stern look Faithful Husband = What? I love you, I would never cheat on you. I just think she is pretty. Wife = WHAT??? You think about cheating on me? Faithful husband = "I mean if you let me make a list I'm just sayin she'd be on it"
