  1. And remember Harrison will most likely be in the League next year.
  2. Awesome get! Welcome aboard Mikale! #5 is all yours!
  3. Welcome aboard Nick! Awesome get! Wilbon should be N for sure now you would think. Who wouldn't want to run behind a potential oline like ours...
  4. Warren is in Georgia today. Maybe he's visiting Mr. Canty.
  5. SJB reminds me of Aquib Talib of the Patriots (except the off field stuff of course) and look how much of a stud Talib has been this year for them. Talib went in the 2nd round to Jon Gruden and the Bucs I believe because of said issues out of KU.
  6. I think this is a solid hire. I know many wanted Marvin (including me) but Warren is a high-energy relentless recruiter. Not to mention he is from Atlanta and there is a lot of overlooked talent down there. I lived there a couple years. Plus he has connections all through the Rockies which will help as well. Color me excited to see what this guy can do.
  7. If Petrino can go back to Louisville, then Marvin should be able to come back to Nebraska. Oh and BTW, Vance Bedford d-coordinator and db coach at Louisville to Texas. Means Duane Akina should be available. Thoughts on Akina?
  8. Wasnt Warfield on staff a year or two ago? He was an intern on Bo's staff I think in the 2011-2012 seasons. So he'd be familiar with Bo's defense and what he wants the DB's to do. I think its a no brainer between him and Minter.
  9. Paging Eric Warfield... Decent player for the chiefs. Grew up in the south (Mississippi and Arkansas) int
  10. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=10224953 Yep sorry Thomas Holley I'm off to the NFL! Thomas, we will take you at Nebraska.
  11. Anyone see the Huskers banner hanging over the railing in one of the end zones? It appeared at least 2 times that I saw KSU score.Guess there really are a lot of Husker fans in AZ. And shelling out some dough none the less for 1st row end zone seats. I thought it was pretty cool.
  12. The "experts" might change their mind if they are watching Miami get rolled by Shawn Watson and Louisville... Bridgewater should leave early. Kid can make all the throws. I would imagine the Texans would get him.
  13. Harrison Beck... Can't remember if it was Harrison or not but who was the kid who signed then transferred because his mom was mad he wasn't getting a lot of playing time or was upset he was going to have to compete for the starting position and wound up at some Ivy League school and was horrible? Seem to remember it was that kid from Florida? Patrick Witt? Transfered to Yale...sucked there...
  14. http://m.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Journal/Issues/2013/12/09/Colleges/Bowl-gifts.aspx $550 allotment per player. Gator Bowl Schwag sux...no PS4 or XBox1...poor kids.
  15. 2. Quarterback Tommy Armstrong will dazzle in the Red-White game, running a basic offense unlikely to resemble the system in the fall designed to fit his strengths. In #4 he talks about Stanton being the #2 QB. But I truly believe when spring and summer is over, Stanton will be the clear QB1 heading into the fall. I believe Beck will adapt the offense to better suit Johnny's skillset in more of power run, play-action offense. I think that's one thing we as fans haven't given Beck credit for. That his offense is adaptable to whatever QB is in the game. He didn't necessarily have to worry about that at KU because although Reesing weighed like 150, it seemed like he never was hurt. Back to my earlier point, lets not forget that Stanton was leading last year's Elite 11 camp going into the final couple days. He was leading the likes of future all-american Christian Hackenberg and 9 others. Folks he has what it takes, I just hope he gets his chance and when he does, as Fla-Ga Line says he gets his shine on...color me excited!
  16. That either Jamal Turner or Pierson-El lead the BIG in punt return yardage. And no offense to Spencer, no one on the O-line ever wears #61 again...
  17. Sucks man. I think he is going to be a good one...
  18. I disagree... I disagree with your disagreement. Beth Mowins is good with Karch Kiraly (sp?) as PBP on women's volleyball. Its just too bad for college football fans that not many women's volleyball games are broadcasted Sat mornings around 11am. Maybe we should start a petition.
  19. Agreed. I hope our guys have been practicing great form tackling with their heads up! All I know is the 2nd Cunningham says something negative about one of our players or coaches, I'm hitting mute. Guess I better just listen to Greg and Matt the whole game then...
  20. Wisconsin is the lowest National seed at #12 to ever make it to a championship game. And we swept them this year! Hope they can beat Penn St. For some reason, Penn St.'s Russ Rose is like Ohio St.'s Urban Meyer to me....don't really know what it is but just don't care for either of them much...
  21. Thoughts? Could be worse, right? I love Mike Patrick for the CWS, but football I'm not so sure about. I do remember in the late '90s or early '00s watching the CWS on tv and they showed Mike Patrick with a lit cigarette in the pressbox talking to Orel Hershiescher (sp). I lost it! http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-releases/2013/12/entire-bcs-highlights-espn-college-football-bowl-schedule-of-34-games/ Used to live in St. Louis from '06-'09 and I loved listening to Mike Shannon slur his speech worse as each inning went along in the Cards games. What a great color-guy though!
  22. Watched his highlights on HUDL. Most were from D'end or TE. That and him being #85 don't think he played OT at all in high scool. Definitely has the frame for it though.
  23. We are still in on Roseville,Ca 4* OT Kolton Miller. Word is the ship has not sailed on him and he has only taken 2 visits, one being to Wisconsin. At 6'8 290, would love to get him N!
