That seems to be the guess. We told him he's our #2 target at this point so he's at least covering his bases.

Can't answer that, but it was stated by many media members that after talking to Gunderson/Vaughn they are taking 19 and that will put us at 88. They have to be anticipating Lewis, numbers don't add up any other way. Done deal! Yeah, I was confused as well as several of the media guys who were thinking 20 guys would put us to 88. That's how my numbers work out. The only thing I can think of is we're saving one scholarship for Lewis so we're looking to get 19 commits which would be 87 scholarships at that point. Interesting that even that would mean two guys would have to leave. I wonder if the coaches have a feel for a couple who are looking or just counting on figuring that out later.

Three-star DE TJ Fehoko just decommitted from Colorado. Had an Oregon State offer. Could be a target if we lose a DE.

Yeah, Warren would make a lot of sense for Colorado. I don't know if the previous staff had anything like this. Definitely not as detailed. Warren obviously did Colorado for the last year and Garrison did a lot in Kansas in Missouri but I thin that was more just their primary recruiting areas. Sounds like these 500 mile states with be a "primary" recruiting area for each member of the new staff and then they'll have a "secondary" area outside the radius.

Sounds like the new coaching staff will have a different way of recruiting the fabled "500 mile radius." Each coach will have a designated area within that radius. Assigned areas will be: Nebraska and the Dakotas Kansas including Kansas JUCOs and Kansas City - Read Oklahoma and Northern Arkansas Colorado - Bray - Also has Arizona and Dallas Wisconsin/Minnesota Iowa Illinois Missouri - Langsdorf Indiana Brian Stewart - Also has Georgia, Florida, Maryland & Virginia Keith Williams - Louisiana and Los Angeles Reggie Davis - Houston The Kansas guy will pick up Kansas City so the Missouri guy can devote more time to St. Louis. They haven't assigned coaches to the regions yet.

There will be two Big Red Weekends again this year. No dates announced yet but it sounds like they'll be on either side of Husker Football Camp like last year. We're looking to snag some of the more science-y types from Stanford and Duke.

Not sure if we'd look at a JUCO at this point. Possible but it's a lot better to get guys who can be here in spring. Sounds like we've been working on a couple more HS guys in case we need them.
