Shouldn't have had that much confidence in that fart.

I do want to add that, I hope he is OK.

Watching the presser, you can tell dude was using all of his internal batteries and willpower to stay standing there and not fall out at the podium.

Anyone else kinda get Mike Leach witch hunt vibes from all these?

This Northwestern thing has a different vibe to it, but don't get it twisted - just about EVERY major athletic department around this country (yes, including the one in Lincoln, Nebraska), should be concerned about this happening to....of all places....Northwestern.  Because that means that just about any school will be under a microscope.

  3. What in the hell....I come from out of my sports hibernation for Big 10 media days, and I find out that Fitz been fired at NW and all hell done broke loose?!?

When you see Ben Crump talking about your organization, you know it ain't gonna be good for you.

    Brand new B1G commish too???

    Holy smokes.

  4. Folks - this is a hot mess.  And the nerve of Perry trying to run Byron Donalds out there as if the caucus is this progressive, all-inclusive group of people is beyond insulting.

If Republicans can't even get their own damn house in order - what makes any sane American think that they can get it together for the sake of ours?

I agree and that is my take as well.

Our fan base is so hungry for anything good that they latched on to the feel good story of Mickey.  The reality was, short of a miracle, he was never going to be the guy.

Yeah, and unfortunately, Mickey latched onto someone's neck.

I have. Clear as day, link was sent to me and it was up hours after the incident took place.

Well....not sure what to expect from someone that grew up in the age of putting everything out on social media.

I have had my own unfortunate experiences with social media.  When my two eldest girls were a bit younger than they are now, my eldest got the wild idea to start putting reviews to places that she had in her map.  She went on Google and gave a negative review of her Mom's place of employment, and she almost got her fired.

This is where the experienced Software Engineer comes into play :)

I deleted the review and saved a job (and a life) all in the same day.

From that point on, my eldest swore off social media.  She has no social media accounts at all.

A suggestive picture of her backside in tight pants. And it was a photo concept where her backside was repurposed multiple times in the photo. Making it a collage of her backside in one photo. Highly suggestive.

Won't believe it till I see it.....have you seen it?

He turned his back on his responsibilities as a representative of Nebraska, the university and the state.  Something is understandable about it, about that passion of anger when being betrayed by a loved one.  But there are millions of people who go through those things and do not lift a finger of harm at their betrayer.  They sadden and madden and seethe and whatever, but they do not attempt to harm or kill that person,  They get help for themselves and they take steps in the right direction.

His duties to his family come first before the university.  That said, he sure as hell didn't conduct himself according to the Joseph family name.

This is just an effed up situation. Someone told me that if you saw what she posted that day on IG, you can see how this issue may have escalated or what may have caused the issue with her phone. Just walk away Mickey. It wasn't worth it man.

Social Media for the win again.

His whole career is over, in one flash of the pan decision.  Its sad,  for all of them, even if she did cheat you just cant do that.

Or HE cheated.  Cause six kids.

    I mean, so much of this is weird.  She's 34.  He's 54.

They've been married six years.  That would put her at 28, him in his late 40's when they tied the knot.

    Ah, but Alas!

She did her undergrad at Langston University from 2009 - 2011.

Guess who was an assistant coach for that same time?

What's up with coaches and coeds?!?

curios how that report is out. Seems like with the laws we have to protect victims of domestic abuse this shouldn’t be public knowledge.

Ain't been no kind of protection with this at all from jump.  This is how KMTV justified it:

"KMTV 3 News Now only publishes mugshots in certain situations. It’s part of our commitment to being fair and minimizing harm in our reporting. In this case, we are using Mickey Joseph's mugshot because he is a high-profile person in the State of Nebraska and because the charges are serious."

OK, so IF the wife/friend story is true and Mickey was not violent towards his wife (just the other dude), can we keep him?

Legally - not sure this would fly.

Morally and ethically?  If there was a dude messing with Mickey's wife and he caught dude, we're lucky we're not talking about a much worse charge.

I've seen situations where guys have gotten jumped just for SPEAKING with another guys lady. I've also seen two ladies (in Church, mind you) come to blows over their husbands.

Not to mention - how would SHE explain this?

Never been a defensive coordinator.  Wouldn't mind having him coach the DL and lead recruiting, but that ship sailed.

    I swear - why does everybody think Coach O wasn't a DC?

He was the DC at USC for two seasons.

    https://usctrojans.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/ed-orgeron/311

Ed Orgeron, one of the most popular assistant coaches in USC history, is in his fourth year back at Troy as the recruiting coordinator and defensive line coach after returning to the Trojan staff in January of 2010. He also was the defensive coordinator in 2010 and 2011 and then the assistant head coach starting in 2012.

    Quick synopsis??

I'm still listening in and I'm only 13:34 in right now, but DB talks about his own run in with DV when he was a student, and how he was speaking with Coach Joseph yesterday.

He is tugging at my heartstrings right now.
