The 95 Huskers would physically tear USC apart. If memory serves me right, the media in 95 was convinced that Wuerfel and Gators were an unstoppable offense. Nebraska made them look embarrassingly awful. Nobody even came close to remotely giving the Huskers a game. I also remember a questionable 03 game vs. Florida State that would have given the Huskers a 3peat. I honestly think that USC may lose one this year. I think if they play Texas, they will.

You are so right. This move makes me ask the question: Does BC have a lack of confidence in the WRs right now, if he has to take from the RBs? Why not give Leon Jackson some reps as well? Any incoming WR that can use the bump and run effectively, run decent routes, and not drop the easy ball WILL start next year. Although, I do believe that Brooks will be starting within the next 3 games, and that the current starting receivers with improve drastically over the next couple of weeks.

Yep, the clones always give it away in Lincoln, like in 2003 they GAVE NU the 28-0 win. Oh, like in 2001, the gave NU the 48-14 win, and in 1999: NU 49 - ISU 14 1997: NU 77 - ISU 14 1995: NU 73 - ISU 14 1993: NU 49 - ISU 7 1991: NU 38 - ISU 13 (all games in Lincoln) I could keep going but I think you get the point. The clones give nothing away. You can't get spanked so badley and call it giving it away. You clones have one good (well good for ISU) season and you start having delusions of grandeur. The series history is NU 81...ISU 16...and 2 ties, so once your win about 65 or so more games, than you could use the phrase "give it away in Lincoln" with sounding nutz. You may say " that was then , this is now" , but you used the word "always", and you would be very wrong.

If our offense shows up and can score, we will win. I don't think ISU can score much against the blackshirts (hopefully the blackshirts score more than their offense). Sidenote: Does anyone else think that McCarney looks like shreck

I am not quite sure how I feel about this. I do think it is an interesting idea, but not sure how the offense would take it. The coaches have all said that you win and lose as a team. I know that the blackshirts have stepped it up (similar to a couple of years ago), but I think the offensive players need our support right now more than ever. They do hear the criticism and though they may say that it does not bother them...it does. Don't get me wrong, I have strong criticisms of what BC and JN are doing thus far, and I realize part of the blame must lie upon the players, but I think we should show them (players) our undying support. Especially with the way things are going. Yes, this I am sure would be something done with the utmost sincerety, and not meant to criticize the offensive players, but I wonder if it would be worth the risk of damaging their confidence of the players even more if taken the wrong way.

I think as long as Lucky and Glenn are eased into line up, seeing small amounts of playing time is good for them. It allows them to get used to the game atmosphere (on the field). It also places more responsiblity on them to learn the playbook, plus gives them the opportunity, though small, of showing how they can perform. Next year, without Cory Ross, we would have a buch of backs with virtually no playing time. If our offense would get things going, they will probably see more playing time. I do wish Beck could play more. I would not redshirt him. I am not possitve that the future will be in Ganz's hands. Beck seems like the type (from what I have read and seen) that will respond to gameday pressure in a different way than he would respond to practice. The good ones always step up to the plate. I would like to see if he would. As long as he does not turn the ball over, I would think he could gain as many yards as the current offense is (handing it off to Ross).

I thought Taylor, for the most part, had plenty of time to throw vs Pitt. From what I saw, his receivers are not running good routes and are not getting open. I thought that our run game could open up the pass, but pitt only had to play single man coverage. If the offense can PREVENT the penalties vs. ISU, things should go a little better. Oops, I did I say PREVENT, the one thing I do not want to see against ISU.

It was good to see Murtha healthy. He had a good game. I almost thought he may become a Ryan Schuller and never really get fully healthy. Has Craig Roark seen any time? I haven't noticed.

BC had some questionable call, but a lot happed that wasn't entirely within his control. 2 missed field goals, back to back sack because th QB doesn't scramble. I do think blame falls his way for the illegal formation and false start penalties (this is a preparation problem)

Amen. I say give it time. Frank was a great guy and I have a lot of respect for him, but he isn't coming back and I really don't want him to. I personally think it will be fun to watch this new team grow, and they will. Stay red.......
