  1. I voted Martinez, I just get the vibe that he's our guy and Frost worked hard to get him here. I like Gebbia and I think he has worked extremely hard, but in the end Martinez just has more to offer. Just putting in my 2 cents.
  2. Uh Oh Randy..http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/17147265/randy-gregory-dallas-cowboys-faces-longer-suspension

Can't say I'm surprised. Let's see....$350,000 (more than half his base pay) or smoke some chronic? Guess RG likes the chronic more.

The worst thing you can give a stoner is lots of money and free time. He's happy with his weed. Let the man smoke. Cowboys should cut their losses.

  3. 7:30 tee time at Prairie Club. (only get to play 1 time a year) 7:32 look for first lost ball of the round 10:30 tally up card for a crowd pleasing 98 (gotta keep it under 100) 10:30-12:00 Have beers in the clubhouse 12-2:30 eat lunch and get ready for game 2:30-6:00 Watch us pummel BYU 6-12:00 Enjoy that first win feeling and hang out with family and friends.
  4. After the spring game I was really high on Adam Taylor. From what we've heard so far Newby and Wilbon sound like the type of back Riley is looking for but when we get into Big 10 play and need some tough yards I feel like Taylor will get some opportunities IMO.
  5. I'm going 11-3. Losses to Miami, Michigan St., and BIG Championship.
  6. Stumpy, I 100% agree. If I remember correctly one of the first things Riley did was ask TO why he chose to switch to the option from a pass heavy offense when he was at Nebraska. Riley is trying to get a lot of information from past coaches and adapt his style to what he thinks will work at NU.
  7. I've supported every coach we've ever had ( including Billy C ) and I will continue that with Riley. To me the bottom line on all of this is we have talent, and to have a losing record in the first year would be very disappointing no matter who the coach is.
  8. I will give coach Riley credit so far he seems to get the history part I never really felt Callahan did, and Pelini was good with some things, but I always felt this wasn't one of them.
  9. BEER! But since you hit on our little secret nuance, I'm ordering kegs of Sundays!
  10. In all honesty, I think it's a terrible idea. Hit the reset button. Bring in an outsider that knows how to win. I'm not necessarily saying I think TO would be on staff just someone there for Frost to bounce ideas off of but that's obviously JMO.
  11. I've been reading this entire thread for the last couple days and originally thought Tressel like a lot of others, but the longer it goes I really wouldn't be surprised to see something along these lines with TO somehow being involved. You can't deny it would unite the masses once again.
  12. Is it just me or does that look an awful lot like Steve Pederson to the left of Brook running out of the tunnel?
  13. I had my 12th beer about 1:30, but still got up and fertilized the yard at 9 a.m., had lunch, coached flag football at 2, and came to the realization last night that Penn St. and Nebraska are the only remaining undeafeted Big 10 teams.
  14. I was 12 or 13 in the hayfield. $25 a day, which was like $3.25/hr, and I thought I was loaded.
  15. 400 miles round trip $$$$$ It easily costs $500 to go to a game (i.e. gas, tickets, meals, lodging) I love having watch parties (especially this year with more night games) I have a bar in my basement and a 42" flat screen above the bar and a 60" flat screen in the living room (much more comfortable than sitting in Memorial) I do however try to make it to at least 1 game a year I still love the atmosphere (more than likely Miami this year)
  16. That would be awesome. I have played that course at least 5 or 6 times mainly on the Labor Day tournament ( wife has family in Valentine ) I played Prarie Club once and it was great but nothing like a small town CC.
  17. My premium is going up about $75/month I pay about $750/month so a 10% increase. Before I had a $5,000 deductible with 100% paid after the deductible ( it's an HSA plan that I do contribute to as a small business owner) now I'm offered the same deductible with 50% coinsurance so my max out of pocket is $12,700. The real kicker is the wife and I were done having kids so I dropped maternity off last year only to have it forced back on to the plan. I think it's great for those that couldn't get coverage before, my mom had cancer a few years back so it will help her, but they have too much of a one-size-fits-all mentality. Ultimately it falls back to the healthy, and ones who can afford it, paying for the sick, which is never going to be the fix the problem.
  18. I'll be the first one to say it and probably get blasted,( I'm not even sure what the rule is). What if Taylor is out say the next 2 or 3 games and Armstrong/Kellogg play good that Bo decides to try and get a medical redshirt for Taylor?
  19. The Miami rumor is interesting to me. Eichorst was athletic director there for a time. Does anyone think Shawn has a little more insight than most as to whether or not Bo wanted that job or was it before he was ever involved with UM.
  20. Zaire isn't a huge suprise if there was any one I'm glad Cooper is in the group always thought he had great potential.
  21. I was in college. Went to the Fiesta Bowl and celebrated the New Year's with my brother, cousins, and some Tennessee fans. It was my first bowl trip. Ah the good ol days. We really need to win this game tomorrow for momentum and New Years in Cali this time.
  22. I have been saying this for a while as well. I think that Ameer is great in the return game but we don't have much in the backfield for experience other than him with Rex out. I'm not sure I like the idea of Kenny Bell being back there either since he is our top receiving targets, but at least we appear to have more depth and experience at wide receiver. I guess I would at least try Turner as I think he could be the most likely to "break a game open" with a return.
  23. One thing I noticed was the comments about previous AD's. He mentioned Devaney and even Pederson, but no $ Bill Byrne. I always got the impression they were happy to part ways.
  24. I'm a little suprised he's making the trip if he is that banged up, but I'm thinking Bo is taking him for #1 Insurance in case a couple other guys go down. #2 A calming presence for the younger guys. Their leader.
