  1. I don't know if there are any guys we were on too, but it's at least nice to see another program having a rough time.
  2. Flipping quickly between this thread and the Oregon State thread is a great example of glass half full/empty
  3. I'm sure some of these guys were sold on bringing a big program back. Easy transfer
  4. The thread was created way before he committed and when he did commit no one was sure if he was a scholarship player or not. But I agree, this conversation should be in a different thread. Talking about Matthias, it's an upside athletic kid that can hopefully at least give good looks in practice, and maybe carve a niche role on the team. If not, hopefully he has a great career in track and he doesn't hit the scholarship number
  5. Their d line coach is the interim coach and was also the interim coach in 2017
  6. I'm interested to hear more about this one. Kid can obviously run, but how often does a player come out of camps without getting rated?
  7. The NFL loves big corners like Lamar. The only way he doesn't get drafted is if he pulls a Dennard
  8. Maybe someone talked him out of his commitment like Wan'dale last year. Kids trying to make decisions will always be interesting
  9. Yeah, and even then he didn't know anything except how to block and run verticals coming out lol
  10. Kids commit to Georgia Tech every year thinking they'll be different
  11. I really like Luke. He can play in two more games and still redshirt, and I'd much rather have him for possibly 4 more years than put him out against Wisconsin and Iowa. I think AM starts if he gets healthy over Vedral
  12. This is the biggest bait I've seen in a minute lmao
  13. I had teammates in highschool that would throw up three and out after a 12 play 70 yard drive. I'm not from a very good football School
  14. I phrased it weird but that's what I'm saying. Everytime we force 4th down some people throw the bones with the three and out sign no matter how many first downs we allowed
  15. I love throwing bones, and I love throwing three and outs, but everytime the opposing team has a 6 play drive and I see people throwing three and out up I get heated. Pet peeve but I hate it
  16. He even emphasized coaches playing in conference championships compared to this week games and bowl games. If you're looking to be extra optimistic
  17. It had been a while since I looked at Thomas's film, but watching again, here is what I see. Two red flags are that he tries to change direction of the field and carries the ball mostly with his right arm. The dancing will not work at the college level. However, if you watch his film, most plays where he tries to switch directions and move laterally is after he has ran 15-20 yds and is looking to get in the endzone. In college, those plays will end in 15-20 yds, not too bad. No idea how well he does with pass pro or catching (none in highlights). His lateral cuts are good but not elite. The upsides are he has good size, good short area burst, and can make defenders miss in small spaces. He also makes you miss in the open field with stiff arms, change of pace juking, or simply out running you. He can bounce off hits well and carries multiple defenders for extra yards. My quick take is he is a punishing running with speed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not writing the kid off, I've just always preferred backs that drive forward instead of dancing around. I like what I see other than how he was ending some runs. I'm taking the stance that above all else the staff must like him. It's not like this was a stab in the dark after losing out on a series of other backs. Definitely not against the commit.
  18. It looks like he tries to do too much, backing up to find a lane. That's something you can do in high school but usually turns out bad at higher levels. Watching his film I think he's pretty good athletically but makes questionable decisions.
  19. I'm from Ogallala and really proud to see Brody getting this chance. His brother was briefly recruited a while back and since then his brother has had some law trouble. I'm glad to see Brody getting back into it after everything that went down with his brother.
  20. It looks like Zaire Anderson started to write his name, switched the r and e and just gave up lol.
