I don't see what good a forfeit does. The game won't be played, what makes people feel better about counting it as a win? We didn't win, and number of wins doesn't matter for bowls this year if they happen. Sucks to not play, but it doesn't suck any less if we claim we "won" a game that didn't happen.

It's called owning something and being held accountable for your actions - something our country forgets bit by bit everyday :(

Well, I think they will just cancel out the bet.

yes if game is cxl - i'm asking do you prefer the game to be played and you will likely loss the bet or are you in favor of game being cancelled so you get the bet cancelled.

    Still count.

I actually put an early bet in on this game.

Baseball bets will sometimes be refunded if the starters that are supposed to start the game do not end up starting.

Sorry that you took Wisc early.... will you prefer to loss the bet or have game cancelled and get your $$$ back?

The completely unsurprising result of trying to play 9 weeks in a row with no opportunity to reschedule games.

The way the Big10 set it up with a 21 day period missing one game with an outbreak means missing 2/3 games guaranteed - so they saw no reason to build in breaks.  Also they had no interest in starting or finishing a season.  Sounds like in some cases the average could get them back after a week....

He’s got Rex Burkhead type heart.  Wish he was built a little sturdier so we can utilize him more. I also wish we could be the team he deserves.

Both of those are coming - i'm sure he sees it.

This is all a part of rebuilding our culture and also establishing ourselves as a physical, dominant football team again. I feel like Frost is basically doing everything right in that department.

Even if a fully healthy JD Spielman and Omar Manning was out there (and I know Spielman isn't on the team anymore), maybe it's worth an extra 10 points on the board. But they still beat us at least 45-27.

The point for me is, I'm not dwelling on a lack of a deep threat in Saturday's game. I'm just looking ahead for when Manning is out there and then maybe one of the young bucks steps up.

Very true - and if Manning's quote is legit then he already has gotten the message and is buying in.

He then says we have a saying "block before you get the rock." So you gotta be able to block before getting the rock. But man I feel sometimes talent should be on the field even if it's for certain plays where they don't have to block.

I think its more that they get moved down the depth chart and don't get the chance.  In the short term that is a tough decision but if you truly believe that a WR block can change an outside run from 6 yards to 20 yards then the guys have to buy in.  Scott is taking the long term approach of W's for the quicker approach to gain culture.  He has a plan and will not bend.

  8. I guess slow motion is now used anytime there is a chance that NU may need to be called for a flag in the NEW Big10 - this is going to be a fun year (no matter the calls or lack of them - having football is worth it !!!) .  I don't expect an over turn of either of the targeting penalties - however if it doesn't happen before the wisc game i will assume this behavior will continue for the rest of the season.
