  1. This team and program is just filled with losers with zero ability to stay composed. Whole group needs to be rid of, what a disgrace
  2. Lol bro, I too wanted more success for 2AM, but to say he doesn’t even crack the top 10 is a slap in the face and borderline disrespectful
  3. I was being sarcastic. There’s no scenario where Bo returns unless it’s to be honored at the halftime of some game. he wouldn’t return nor would I want him. The game has passed him by
  4. I have no issue with our system- what's broken with this team would be broken in any system. Fix the O line and special teams and we go from a 3-9 team to one probably sitting at 7-5, maybe 8-4. You can be a spread team and still have red zone packages to ensure you convert. As it stands today, we're a spread team with a broke as hell offensive line that doesnt pass protect well and cant run block to save its life. You address this and turn the 14-21 points we've consistently left on the table each game by not turning RZ possessions into 7 and we're winning. I am more concerned about our punter/special teams leaving our defense out to dry more so than our offense. Sure 3 and outs f'n suck, but this defense proved this year it can handle that- what it cant handle is our offense going 3 and out and out punter kicking it for all of 13 f'n yards giving the other team the ball back essentially where we left off. TL/DR: Would I like to see more power run and possession? Sure, but I also don't think thats the only way we can be succesfull- All systems require a competent O line- we have been incompetent for close to 7 years now
  5. Our system and futility has little to do with these 3 on top of the record books. The vast majority of progrums have seen most of their passing records set in the past decade simply due to how the sport is played these days vs. 20+ Years ago. I don’t disagree we need to be more balanced across the board but, even if we were, said qbs would still be setting records with how much of an advantage offensive football has these days
  6. Totally agree on the frustrating comment- was texting a buddy who’s a big college football fan (casual Nebraska fan now cause I converted him lol) and he’s just perplexed how at any given play 2AM can go from legit playmaker to true freshman level mistakes. in fairness to Tommy Armstrong and the stat comment- TA also played a somewhat short season out of his 4 when he was thrust into the starting spot his freshman year due to injury to TM. TA also had to defer stats to a great RB like Amber- 2AM just gets to hog the ineptitude for today’s teams. TA also had 2AM in the back burner on the most important stat, Wins.
  7. I don’t disagree. We’re a dumb as hell team from the top to the bottom. id really love to see a team next year that doesn’t shoot itself in the foot, wins the Time of possession battle more often than not, and can play with a lead. for too long we make bone headed plays that hurts us and our offense NEVER strings together a first half to actually allow us to run the ball and play a clock game. Seemingly always playing from behind is never a recipe for wins
  8. Man, if this is what is the breaking point for ya I don’t know what to tell u. Who cares, if we’re honestly sitting here pissed in 3 years cause an underwhelming 35 year old smothers can’t return for another year than we have much bigger issues at hand
  9. If 2AM returns next year my hype meter a .2 on a scale of 10 in august. So tired and over this guy at qb. Don’t feel that bad after that ending because I had zero expectation he’d come thru
  10. An offensive line hold coupled with the biggest limp d!(k of a qb. Nebraska football everybody
  11. I hope they play these highlights for chins acceptance speech on that d coordinator of the year he’s in the running for!
  12. I dunno guys, think that last one is on the o line. Pretty sure I saw jurgens mouth to Adrian, “3 flies up this s#!t”
  13. He'd prolly be a 2nd team all Big10 QB for a team that is sitting ranked in the top 15 at 8-2 with big games against wisconsin and iowa on tap in the next 9 days. Talent is there on the o line, the coaching has been a sad sorry excuse... There was some poster a couple weeks back that dropped a link of frosty saying he brought in some ex players and they diagnosed and fixed jurgens snapping issue in 5 mins- where tf was austin on this for the past few years?
  14. Yes yes, lets pause the progrum so all players transfer instead of a handful!
  15. We might be 3-7, but we're a god damn 3-7 squad that no one wants to play. We might be down on the record but we're #1 in heart babbyyyyyyyyy
  16. Don't get me wrong, guys done some solid work at iowa state, a place not synonymous with powerhouse or winning.. but when u zoom out- u see a coach who's slightly above .500, made his name on some upsets no one saw coming yet loses to teams he shouldnt all the while working with limited resources compared to his peers..... sounds an awful lot like a prime Mike riley in his 40s!
  17. and yet a solid portion of the posters here treat matt campbell like a god who walks on water.
  18. Gonna be real nice when saban hangs it up
  19. Naw doesn’t make me feel better. well maybe Texas being inept AF does lol the state of Florida thing is so baffling, one maybe 2 of those teams down is pretty head scratching but all 3? for what it’s worth- Id take Stanford’s season over us, at least they have a big win with that upset of Oregon. Tho I’d also point out stanford doesn’t belong in that group of schools- never was a power house and most likely never will be unless they strike gold with a harbaugh type hire again
  20. And yet here you are tuning in every week and on this board regardless of the direction of the progrum or next steps you may or may not agree with!
  21. The recruiting risk argument is such an over exaggeration and played out. Mel Tucker and MSU this year is a first hand example that the right staff plus immediate contributors via the transfer portal can make rebuilds happen a lot faster than before. This coupled with the fact that our team is still insanely young eligibility wise. Frosty gets the right hires and simply wins the toss up bs games against crap teams we're above .500. Steal one or two of the mich/iowa/wisc/oklahoma and we're 9 win potential.
  22. Ironic Pat Forde writing about a progrum dying into mediocrity when said s#!t journalist is stuck working for a sinking ship that will probably be gone in 5 years in sports illustrated. what a perfect marriage
  23. minimum floor for next year is 7-5. I think 8-4 is achievable and depending on who our qb is/staff/changes, 9-3 wouldn't be a ridiculous unachievable record. Breakdown below- obviously nothing is a given from this progrum thus far but simply playing sound football to your potential week in and week out but there is runway to improve win rather easily. If any of the games below go worse than breakdown, frosty is out in my mind. Hes run out of excuses, put up or shut up time Wins (Table stakes to justify him staying- if any of these are duds, hes gone): Northwestern North Dakota Georgia Southern Rutgers Indiana Illinois Losses (Keep it close, no embarassments): Oklahoma Michigan Wisconsin Toss Ups That we should win (I'm ok with 1-1 here, both cant be losses or hes gone) Purdue Minnesota Toss Up that most likely are a loss (just f'n beat these clowns already): Iowa
  24. Thats a shame if thats the case because, at least in my opinion, those formation itself is a poor way to setup your RB for success. They're not even looks at first glance that give you the thought 2AM might throw it and then delayed handoff, rather, let me let my crap o line get beat and then im gonna hand it off, good luck
