    Hot take: if I was Nebraska I would no longer take JUCO players unless they are almost a sure fire bet. Instead, I go after portal players both grad transfer and one year sits. Seriously. The track record for this staff recruiting JUCO guys is abysmal. I really thought that having Held was gonna help here but it’s been a let down.

      In the Pelini era. Frost & Co have whiffed hard. Take 1 if you think they are a fit. But the portal seems to be a safer & arguably better route

      I think we’ve done a really solid job of over hyping these players as well. 


      I’d be curious what the actual data on Juco contributors looks like, and Juco vs transfers.
