You don't lose the strength gains though. It's not about size really. It's extra reps and better recovery.

Yeah, we're thinking she has a decent shot at the Boettcher. We'll know more when we get her SATs back but she scored in the top 1% on PSATs and has about a 4.3 so hopes are high.

Swam at a D-1 Mid-Major school, while both my siblings attended UNL. It is still one of my biggest regrets not going there. If their MBA program was highly-ranked, I'd at least go there for grad school, but the other options are too good to pass up.

Co-worker grew up in Lansing KS - big Husker fan w/o any Husker connections except the '90s. Son got full ride academic to KU, best NU would give is in state tuition. Callahan years, so KU beat NU both times in Lawrence during son's time there.

Didn't he do that initially?  Wouldn't it be wiser to have a plan of action instead of jumping at the first thing that sounded like it was what you wanted?  What would have happened had he fully committed to Nebraska then pulled the plug and left?  

Redux, I hope it turns out that Bookie comes back.  I will agree to disagree with you on this topic.  A young persons education should always be first. 

If he had a boatload of offers why didn't he take the time to consider that coaches leave universities every year. What will I do if this coach is not here next year?  I just can't agree that pinning your entire future on one coach is  a wise decision. 

It will be exciting to see who he finally decides to play for. There's plenty of time left for him to visit other places, consider his choices and who knows-by then Nebraska may have a new coach.  That could considerably effect Bookie's choice. I think we can both agree that we would like him here.  GBR!

One thing I don't think has been discussed is the intent of Bookie to enroll early so he can participate in spring ball.  It is possible (doubtful) Bookie still comes to Lincoln but he needs to have his bases covered in case Nebraska can't get a good coach.  He doesn't want to be caught unprepared.  As a young man with NFL talent and a desire to reward his mother and brothers for all their hard work he needs to be at a school that will develop his skills further.  Bookies's strength is covering receivers like a blanket not playing 8 yards off the line in this 3-4 defense.

I could have them memorize where 12" is on the ruler and give them a handsaw OR I could teach them how to use a ruler and a chopsaw. Both would meet the standard, but only one way would set the student up for future learning.

Man, the defense hasn't been that bad guys. Our CB's have been cooked occaisionally and we've missed some tackles mostly in the Miami first half. Things will improve. Miami and BYU had some receivers that could do damage. RECOGNIZE that.

I am consistent i've said this since week 2. They need better players on the field. I dont care how they practice I want a defense that doesn't give up 600+ yards a game to any decent opponent. Hell even Zenner from SDSU had 200 rushing yards.

@funhusker I'm sure that plays a big role in only how long the overall game is structured (particularly for advertising). But, I think they could still probably make some alternative work out if it was something quick and definitive like free kicks or something.

There should be 1 sudden death OT period, then if they tie, they tie.  Sometimes nobody deserves to win.

Or why not just tack on an extra 15 minutes and play it out completely. If they're still tied, add another 15 minutes. Rinse, repeat. 

If they're not going to adopt the college rules (or some variation of them) to give each team a shot, then just make it an open quarter.
