I hate that too but it is a mindset for some guys.  I have coached with dudes that simply can't stop blitzing...we can be up 30 with 45 seconds left and they are still sending guys, it is just how they call a game.

Uggg, I wish I had a PhD...being a college professor in the field of Education would be like stealing money...like Nancy P (UNL Prof, not the politician).

That’s how people used to feel about Nebraska back in the day we were just so good. OSU is a very good football team but can they win if given a chance in the National Championship?  

Not mad because I know they are the best in the B1G.  I am just disappointed for Indiana, that they didn't get to enjoy a championship game.  Would have been a great story for their players, coaches, and fans to all look back on it someday.  That's what gets me the most.  Because overtaking OSU ain't happening anytime soon.

Guess I haven’t heard or seen people complaining much about this. tOSU obviously was the best team in the east. Now the way the B1G went about things things, setting the rules and then changing them to accommodate tOSU, nothing wrong with complaining and being upset about that. I think their whole champions weekend schedule was a sham. I was pulling for Northwestern just so it would F the B1G.

Something disappointing though is how many fans are in the stands with no masks. No clue if the fans should be spaced out and they're clustering together in their excitement.Even worse, now that CC has won, they're celebrating with the fans. Expect CC to not play a game for a few weeks.

Played well vs Northwestern

I never really fault guys for leaving.  The regular college kids transfer/leave like crazy, these guys not only have the same s#!t to do that regular kids do but they also have a crazy huge football commitment.

I'm confused as to how those two losing affects someone's feelings about us not playing.  But....to each their own.

Saturday just sucked all the way around without a game and seeing everyone else playing.

@BigRedBuster It's not confusing, it's always semi-enjoyable watching teams you don't like lose. So, I guess if we're not playing, we have to find consolation where we can.

Also liked seeing Iowa lose...

Last year, Minny was Maryland in that game.  

Hickman and Brown were dinged up a bit coming into the game, Betts is still learning the offense, and Manning and Fleming are being a couple knuckle-heads right now.  Hopefully things will improve and these guys will get on the field.

I know our boys have work to do but I’m glad we’re playing! We could be sitting in our couches watching the other college teams have all the fun! GBR!

Ehhhh...Minny sucks, Iowa is lame, Purdue is horrible, NW sucks, Nebraska sucks, MSU sucks, Indiana is lame, Rutgers is horrible, MD is lame as f#&%...

So you play CMU, EMU and Ark State...3-0 or 2-1.  With the Army offense they can pick up 3-4 more wins in conference.  Hell army took Michigan to OT like 3 years ago.

Minny won 10 games, iowa about 9 a year, Purdue is way better than they used to, NW sucks recently, Indiana is pretty good, Rutgers, N, & Maryland are bad. I still don’t see it. You won’t be playing Rutgers & Maryland every year with Illinois in the West. 

Those teams are all the same...they all are average.  Illinois, with a triple option offense vs teams that suck, are going to be just fine.  Just like GT was when they ran it in the acc...82 wins in 11 seasons.  ACC is lame compared to the BT so...knock it down to 62 wins in 11 seasons and it is still better than anything then the Illini have seen since Zook.

TCU gets an automatic loss with those atrociously ugly uniforms today.  Too bad for JD.

@funhusker I'm sure that plays a big role in only how long the overall game is structured (particularly for advertising). But, I think they could still probably make some alternative work out if it was something quick and definitive like free kicks or something.

There should be 1 sudden death OT period, then if they tie, they tie.  Sometimes nobody deserves to win.

Or why not just tack on an extra 15 minutes and play it out completely. If they're still tied, add another 15 minutes. Rinse, repeat. 

If they're not going to adopt the college rules (or some variation of them) to give each team a shot, then just make it an open quarter.

Didn’t watch.  My understanding is the Texans left the field for the national anthem and then came back for the show of unity.  I’m fine with the show of unity.  But an opposing team needs to make their statement by leaving the field for the anthem and then comes back.  Yep if you are the home crowd I’d see why you would boo them.
