i would be in favor of trying a ground chuck offense. Run the clock, get first downs, and it might hide the many defensive deficiencies as well. NU can always go back to whatever they were trying to do before if they can’t run block for three yards.

“They moved around well” could be one answer to “how did they practice?”.

5-7 I wonder if the players want a bowl? They better play with some passion. I’m interested in what Frost brings to the table after the bye. Hopefully, he mixes something’s up. Puts a package or two in for some of the young guys. I’d like to see some power formations, but I’m dreaming. Bad snaps, missed tackles, no pass rush, keystone cop special teams...will probably continue. 1. IU will spread NU out and throw those sideline passes all day. They will throw to the TEs on long third downs. Maryland couldn’t stop that. The lack of QB pressure by NU and the QBs ability to run is going to extend those drives. 2. Purdue- NU on the road. Not betting a win there. 3. Maryland- On the road but hoping Maryland calls it quits before NU does. Iowa and Wisky will drill NU. Argh.

Illinois looks like they know what they WANT to do. NU lacks an identity. I’m hoping NU builds on some of the things they do well and simplifies the offense after the bye. Throws in a 4-5 play package for the freshman. Give them a taste of B10 football. Get to a bowl!!

The announcer said Maryland hasn’t kicked a FG all season. Not sure how that even happens. I just want NU to go to a bowl game. NU needs to hit the IU qb or he will pick NU apart.
