  1. Difficult news... helps to keep perspective throughout the season. Prayers sent out to the young man's family and UCLA. Would certainly be neat to see time devoted in memoriam.
  2. Yeah, I didn't want to be the first to say something . . . I didn't want to be the second to say anything... Yeah....hopefully it's alot m ore detailed and legit in person. Could prob be taller I feel the same way! He's a bit... disproportionate? Got some short 'ole legs!
  3. Apparently, its not that difficult! http://pinterest.com/akhellokitty/ribbon-boards-i-love-made-by-others/ (i keed, i keed)
  4. I noticed those in previous pictures as well and was wondering if it was still going to be installed. Went to the open house today, looks like these will be signage boards (not electronic ribbon boards) to count the consecutive sell-outs for Memorial Stadium and academic all-americans. They removed the old banners from on top of the north stadium. They also placed an "N" at the 50 yard line. (The signage boards don't stretch the length of the club level deck.) Saw an instagram photo today that made it look like the "N" at the 50 yd line is going to be backlit (much the like the N on the video booth in the South end zone). Can anyone verify? Also, the picture is from up close and the "N" looks HUGE (seems to be as tall as the installers working on it)... proof of the massive scale of that east stadium! Would you mind posting a link for this? I'd love to see it. Yup! Here you go! http://instagram.com/p/dXlfmvzXqo/
  5. Aside from the obvious, which have been mentioned a great deal here (of which I am also super interested in seeing)... I am also really interested in seeing who will be long snapping. I suppose the whole special teams unit will be interesting to watch. With questions on D, a good special teams unit could be crucial.

  7. The scarlet red seems brighter than our uniforms. Way brighter. All depends on lighting. I agree with you that lighting does really effect what these two red colors truly are. If you go look at Wisconsin's history though, their red color should actually be more of a subtle maroon color than what they have been wearing for the past few decades. However, when doing some research on the helmets of these two programs I actually learned something new today. I always thought Wisconsin was copying Nebraska's iconic helmets with the red stripe, and red facemask. But in reality, at least according to this website http://www.nationalc...Helmet_Project/ (you'll have to scroll down a ways) it was Wisconsin who had the first white helmet, red stripe, red facemask back in 1978. (Most likely not the first in college football, but they were before Nebraska). Nebraska switched to their now iconic helmet on January 1st, 1982 for the Orange Bowl game against Clemson. Either way, I actually like this new red helmet for Wisconsin, and I hope they would consider making it their new primary helmet. I think the 1970 NC team had a white helmet and red stripe... but silver face mask.
  8. Woah! Did they demolished the "steps" above the two huskervision screens? That kinda bums me out actually... *edit: It might be that I cannot see them clearly here and they're still there.
  9. I would love a HIGH resolution panoramic of the East stadium. There have recently been some high-res from the top of the East (which were incredible, no doubt) ... it'd be awesome to be able to look at each new section up close.
  10. Like this? It's a mock up I made for a friend during the alt-uni hoopla last season. It's more red than scarlet and I realize the "N" is hard to read but the "dramatic" lighting in the image I used doesn't lend itself to the side's being shown too well, not to mention during the day or under the lights, it would be easier to see. Here it is nonetheless. If I had to venture a guess, I would say either UCLA or Michigan State and considering UCLA is another adidas school, then UCLA would have the edge. Man, I think that looks real good. I think it'd look sweet with a big white N on the side like this:
  11. Matte Scarlet a la: http://www.zephyrpai...--One-Size.html Might be too close to OU look though?
  12. Does anyone know if they'll be offering tours of the East Stadium or if the East concourse will be open to all ticket holders on gameday? I seem to remember last year they opened all concourses into the East, is this correct? When I was in school we had to sneak people into the East stadium and couldn't get access to other parts of the stadium without a ticket matching the applicable gate. It'd be great to be able to actually experience the additions! Anyway, thankful for this thread and your pics everyone. Missing some of "The Good Life."
  13. One of these early blueprints indicate that the base of the bleachers in the East Stadium's upper deck starts at 115'. Pretty incredible! Also, does anyone have insight as to what each new level is in that East stadium? I see roughly three separate levels with glass (just behind the old upper deck, one level above that, and the level above that one). I know one is "club seating"... ? Edit: after looking at this picture, it clearly shows club and suite levels. Still though, what are the glass panes behind the old upper deck?
