  1. Judging by what we've seen game after game, it's hard to say we're better than #15.
  2. "Newby hesitates in the backfield"........says it all. He needs to quit dancing and start running.
  3. Someone on that roster....an O linemen...defensive lineman....should become the center before the next game. We've never had such a poor center.
  4. That AT&T girl is freaking me out.....besides being smoking hot, she's guessing my things too.
  5. We are such a bad passing team ,it's comical. What is going on?
  6. Not feeling as hopeful against Wisconsin in 2 weeks. I can't believe how many miscues we had on offense. Pierson-El should be a much bigger threat than what he's been. When he gets the ball in his hands he's a badass and looks like he could take it all the way at any time.
  7. Announcers confirming what you posted...Wait. Are you guys honestly complaining about play calling that led to a TD? You miss the point. The play worked despite the defense being called perfectly to defend that play. That was players making plays...geez...I just...I got nothing. I mean any criticism is unjust in your mind. How do you ever get better without critiquing? That was beck putting his players in a place to make the play. Once TA got past the first defender the 3 receivers set up the blocking that allowed the TD. That is analysis. Saying, OMG WHY PUT RECEIVERS OUT THERE DURING A RUN just makes you sound like an idiot. That was one he got from Scott Frost. We'll probably see some jazz hands later on.
  8. THAT is what Tommy does best and probably what he did most in high school.....a pocket passer he is not. Too bad we can't run those kinds of plays all the time against a MSU type defense.
  9. I'm sticking with Gypsy curse. This has been the weirdest game.
  10. Looks like Cross and Newby are gonna have to show up today. And let's knock of all this pocket passing.
  11. Against MSU it was like he was on speed , throwing passes in 2 seconds.....needs to settle down.
  12. NO! IT IS NOT GOOD TO THIS NOW OR EVER. It's not like because we did it today we won't do it next week. Just another shi**y example of why we can't drink the k-a. Don't pop a gasket...it'll be okay.
  13. Good thing we're doing this now, I guess. Good playcalling ,forcing the line to dominate or go home. I have to say I don't like the shotgun in that situation.
  14. With the wind, our running game, their inability to stop the run....
  15. The SEC draws more ad money because of more exciting big games. If the BIG gets it's act together the sponsors will come a running and favor the BIG again like they've traditionally done. The BIG is a very lucrative market and they'd love to be able to do that again but the conference has been so pathetic lately that they couldn't even fake it without the rest of the country's fans screaming bloody murder the way we used to when we were in the Big 12. If anyone is getting the shaft these days I'd have to say it's probably the Big 12 or Pac 12, not the pathetic BIG 10. By the way, when will they start changing the conference names? They make no sense.
  16. Yeah, the players aren't acting like a bunch of sheep and are trying to fix it themself. The last few years it seemed like they were punching a clock and couldn't wait to get home. Maybe it's my imagination , but Tommy seems like a driven player....probably had to make him come in out of the rain when he was a kid. How can you tell that leadership is better this year than in years past? I think that's something that only the team would be able to speak to. Other than having a better record, what other evidence is there that someone could see just by watching the games? I would think that leadership was strong in 2012 with Rex and Compton as seniors. Last year we had Ciante, SJB, Ankrah on defense and pretty much the entire O-line. I think the biggest difference this year is that we have a very weak schedule. We still have games that we lose focus for stretches and we still have games that we show perseverance. I just think it's hard for a fan to judge the leadership of a team. The player's reaction to the way he played tells me something about his attitude. I think some fans think we're Nebraska so we should just buy the best coach and he in turn will buy the best players SEC style......anything less is unacceptable. If you buy the recruiting hype then you'd have to say Bo is not the best recruiter but he coaches above his star ranking. It appears he has a pretty good record for such lowly stars and the playoff committee seems to agree having rated us higher than the coaches or writers. Or the players are punching above their weight. Or both. As far as the weak schedule comment....wasn't last year the one we where we had the weak schedule and were supposed to run the table due to our explosive offense and experience? I consider Tommy to be about the equivalent of a freshman QB who is still learning.....I think he's getting more understanding every game. Will he top out where he is now? Your guess is as good as mine.....my guess is he'll get pretty good. As far as leadership, you're right...what do we really know about what the team is thinking? It appears to me just from observation that Tommy no longer has the rookie mindset and he's taking charge when he sees something he doesn't like. My guess is we have several quarterbacks on the defensive side and a few injured ones as well who aren't satisfied with lousy play.
