The case is making headlines today because Washington chose to not delete the video and then used it to harm the girl.

I suppose they could. They would have to track down every person that received it, see if they still have the phone that it was received on, and prove they sent it. Unfortunately, Washington didn't delete the video and move on. And that is who we are concerned with.

Both parties should be treated equally. But if someone claims assault, then the cops investigate an assault. And then go where the evidence and facts lead them. But in no way could a cop do their job effectively if they immediately didn't believe a claim. They wouldn't put the effort into proving or disproving

Interesting that there are some posters in here doing the same thing to the girl in this situation. Some even suggesting that SHE was in control of the situation.

It's a normal reaction for people to think this way. And I have no opinion one way or the other in this specific incident if she is truthful or not. But we should always be reminded of the difficulty of coming forward for women in situations like this. Look at how long Larry Nassar was allowed to prey on women before they began to speak up.

It only matters because he was avoiding being interviewed so the police didn't know if he knew it was an assault. That's why it matters at all. And also why they are not pursuing those charges on him now.

I think the fact that the president, who is an elected official, can make these types of decisions is something that should be looked at with regards to reform.

Despite her being from my state, I have not read too much on her or know much about her. Being she is a rep for a different district than mine. But if anyone knows more, maybe they can help me out. Is she anit-Jew as a whole or more anti-Israel and the current way they form their policies? Meaning, I haven't read where she comes out against ALL Jewish people. But she certainly have something against the way Israel is run. Does that make sense what I'm asking?
