The Patriots never "suck" it seems. But, they do have "luck" on their side.

Why do people here dislike UCF?

@ZRod No I don’t think they’re as good of a team without Milton but I don’t think the CFPC should take someone out of the playoffs or rank a team based on the status of their star players. Rank them solely based on the games they played and how they performed. I don’t think Mack’s performance at the end of the year hurt their playoff chances at all. He played really well.

I’m more so talking about White’s comments about how they deserve better than a 2-1 deal because ‘they’re a top 10 team’ and fans declaring Florida was afraid to play UCF in a bowl game even though their AD had no control over it.
Also we’re a blue blood program. 15 years of mediocrity by our own standards doesn’t change that. Every blue blood program has gone through similar streaks. I don’t like Husker fan egos that think we should be a top ten team year round but at the very least we earned that ego by having those kinds of results for a prolonged period of time.

@ZRod But Bama also beat really good teams this year. If UCF had a similar SOS to Bama they get in over OU.
Also why should Milton’s injury dictate whether they get into the playoffs or not? Should be judged on their results only.

UCF ends talks of possible series with Florida. #Power6

UCF says nobody will play them, yet Gators offered a 2 for 1 and they said no? Cowards.

If UCF plays and beats a playoff worthy team in their non-con they’ll get in. The problem is their best non-con wins the last 2 years were 8-5 FIU and 7-6 Pitt. Throw in an FCS team both years and the fact that both years they’ve only played 11 regular season games, both of their cancelled games being against (admittedly poor) P5 opponents and I don’t know how you can reasonably argue they’ve played a playoff worthy schedule.
UCF doesn’t have a win against a top 25 team this year and their highest rated opponent according to Sagarin is Cincy at 39. Heck 3 AAC opponents they’ve beaten are ahead of Pitt in the Sagarin.

@desertshox No. Boise State, TCU, Utah, and other mid majors went through the same thing. But they took those deals and won games. UCF wants to schedule the big boys but because of a couple good seasons thinks they’re in a position of power and deserve to be treated like one of them? Nah.
Fwiw I think Florida should do a home-and-home but White saying they’re above a 2-1 deal because they’re a top 10 team is laughable.

Out of curiousity I counted 3 NE boys on NDSU's roster which includes their starting QB Easton Stick and 16 on SDSU's roster. I didn't know there was a Saint Helena, NE.

Can confirm that Monique was legit a poster here, our recently departed Iceman met her today. Sorry @Moiraine, I think he's moved on.

Did they serve McRibs for lunch when you were in grade school/high school, and if so, what did they call them?

UCF is apparently trying to get boosters to cough up another 1.5 mil a year to give Scott Frost a raise.

@ScottyIce His RB, OL, and S&C coaches are all Nebraska alum.
Barrett Ruud is his quality control as I'm and his Chief of Staff/Director of Operations played at Concordia.
Hope if he comes he brings his Senior Admin Assistant.

Apparently on Saturday after Drew Brown had to make a tackle on a kickoff he sprinted back to the sideline and started yelling at his teammates. He was mad cause the team did not care, they did not try and fight off their blocks and the kicker had to play DB when he didn't have to. Kudos to him for being a vocal leader, but man we need guys to not quit in games period.

After contemplating it a bit, I've come to the following conclusions in a calm state of mind.
I don't see HCMR going away this season unless it gets really bad. I think there are three heads on the chopping block before him. This is how I see it playing out.
If we manage a winning season
1. Cav is gone or needs to be gone. We then need to continue showing that we're willing to spend big for our coaches. Especially when it comes to line coaches. Lots of blame is being thrown at Langs, I'm in the camp it's hard to put a game plan together when your line is getting blown up by guys at NIU.
2. Reggie Davis needs to go. Again spend some money get coaches who can develop players. The fact that we seemingly only have 1 RB that's p5 level is absurd. There's a small chance he could save his job if he flips TJ from Oklahoma. I don't see this happening.
If we don't manage a winning season.
3. SE is gone. I like the idea of bringing in Trev, but who knows.
I don't think we lose HCMR this year unless the above happens AND we have a chance to somehow bring in an A list coach this season AND we only win 5.

Houston sacked a mobile quarterback 11 times yesterday, our oline has only given up like 6 since conference play started. So give some credit to our oline cause they have not even given up 11 all year.
