I have it on good authority that the new OC/QB coach will be Lance Harbor. New WR coach will be Charlie Tweeder. These are pretty solid gets, good ties to Texas for recruiting. Not sure about the rest of the staff. Expect the new scheme to utilize a lot of receivers as we'll be primarily running the Oop-dee-oop.

  2.

There should be no tax on wealth transfer.

There should be no tax on SS income

If we have to increase taxes elsewhere, so be it.

zoogs - it's an illogical tax regardless of high or low it is or how rich or poor the person is.

I'm tired of typing, so here's a good take on why I support the estate tax: http://www.cbpp.org/research/federal-tax/ten-facts-you-should-know-about-the-federal-estate-tax?fa=view&id=2655

EDIT: and here's a related USNews article about it: https://www.usnews.com/opinion/economic-intelligence/2015/03/27/facts-dont-back-estate-tax-repeal

From that article to address knapplc's concerns:

Opponents of estate taxation allege that it's a form of "double taxation." But a 2014 breakdown of large estates found that most of the wealth subject to the tax comes in the form of appreciated assets, such as stocks and real estate, that have never been subject to any tax. In other words, the estate tax closes an important loophole on wealth transfers among the ultra-wealthy.

I usually don't post much on the board but this portion of the article caught my eye. I don't agree that the real estate isn't taxed. Large and small farm operations, commercial real estate (I.E. rental houses, commercial building non-residential use Etc.) are all taxable on the state level in terms of the land. Maybe I misinterpreted the article but are they stating that the estate tax needs to be larger to combat this?

  3. Reading the last few posts I realize I have another pet peeve - yearists.

I will say the year however I goddamned want to say the year. I will not be bullied into two thousand fourteen or twenty fourteen or any other combination thereof.

    Also, apostrophists.

in about 5-7 years his frontal lobe is going to finally develop and he is going to wake up some day and say......"Why the F*** did I do that?"

    Avery Moss?

Must be something wrong with his Medulla Oblongata

  5. Srs question:

Do you guys really get the sh*ts or whatever from one meal at a place like Taco Bell or a single Hot Pocket? I feel like some of you have very sensitive stomachs. I rarely have any issues with any place I eat unless I overeat to the point where I'm uncomfortable.

We don't all have a golden *%$#hole like Stan and we need Chipoltaway!

  6. Bringing this one back. Recently I have been cleared from shoulder surgery to resume some golf activities and I am on the looks for a new set of irons. I'm currently playing Taylormade Burner +'s that I like but don't love. Just have never really got a good feel for them. What I'm looking for is some sort of iron/hybrid combo set. I know Adams makes great hybrids but not real sure about the irons they make.

I'm usually in the high 70's low 80's if that helps with what kind of irons I should be playing.

It all depends on you. I hit around the same handicap as you and I play the cleveland CG16 Tour black pearls. I can tell right away when I miss hit them because I can feel it in the club. I would personally suggest them to anyone because I really like them but they might not be for everyone. The CG16 set I have are all irons but they might have hybrids for them.
