  1. i understand the hate for the SEC but to not acknowledge that its the best conference in football is ridicules Alabama, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia and South Carolina are all elite teams at the moment even vandy won 9 games and had a winning conference record yes teams like Auburn and Arkansas struggled last year but it wasnt long ago that they were very good if nebraska was in the SEC with last years defense and all the turnovers i have a hard time believing they would have made it to a bowl game yes the SEC is full of cheating boosters but its the best conference hands down
  2. hope someone bigger than williams starts at DT then again there will probably be a rotation of a lot of guys at that spot so it may not matter
  3. winning solves all of this if Bo and the team would win some conference titles then this all goes away
  4. i thought you said espn hates nebraska read the whole sentence just giving you a hard time but i dont think that just because there is a couple of OSU and UM alumni that dont like the school that is the biggest threat to their school means the network has anything against nebraska
  5. You're close... ESPN hates Nebraska, likes money... if they really wanted to see the demise of nebraska they wouldnt give nebraska any exposure their ay be a couple of announcers that arent too fond of nebraska but to say the network has something against nebraska is a stretch They don't want to see our demise, that's the thing. Many of the talking hair do's hate us, but overall they like us because we make them money if we're on... i thought you said espn hates nebraska

  7. ESPN hates nebraska so much they put nearly everyone of nebraska's football game on one of their networks
  8. And here we have the great divide between Bolievers and the opposition: whose fault is that? The young, inexperienced defense this year is largely a reflection of poor roster management and awful recruiting a few years ago. I understand there are naturally going to be up and down years, and we still have a lot of talent on defense, but there's going to be way too many growing pains this year for what there should be in a coach's 6th year. You completely missed the point. Then what exactly is the point of you saying "we're loaded with newcomers" in response to Headly saying "there aren't any excuses"? Sure sounds like an excuse to me. One that Bo is responsible for creating. Recruiting for the B12 vs B1G seems to me to be quite different. The O needed help and it seems to me Bo spent more time with the O, and the O has only gotten better. The D has suffered, but Carl had one yr. (which I think Bo trusted him in handling the D,I think he failed) The Rookie Pap takes over D and it wasn't bad, it just didn't have enough speed. Now Bo is spending the majority of his time with the D, and I don't think he forgot how to coach D. He came to Nebraska the first time and coached that teams D to a high level (first yr in the system for those boys). With his attention to the D this yr, with the talent and speed on that side of the ball (yes very young and without experience) that makes up for a bevy of mistakes. (example David's first yr. I'm not proclaiming any of the youngsters as the next David, but there are players on D that could step up to that level. GBR not every team that lacks speed gets 63 and 70 hung on them, the defense was bad
  9. I'm usually a skeptic but this year i'm a believer the defense cant get any worse and the offense should be just as good if not better if Bo & Co cant get it done with this schedule then i'll be very disappointed
  10. another thread on spring practice derailed by arguing, is it football season yet
  11. sounds about right not to many guys back from last year except ankrah and some DBs

Honestly, how is Turner going to make more of a jump? Running more North and South and less backwards and sideline to sideline? Lol

sherman was way out of line. he was just bragging about himself and dissing bayless. it was completely unprovoked.

Bayless can be an idiot, but Sherman is a straight clown. "Better at life than you" If I was Skip I would have said you are on my show homeboy. Millions of ppl watch everyday (not your show).

  17. no need to be worried they cant be any slower than the starting 3 last year
  18. Why is that we continue to have the same problems from game to game. If our defense struggles he should put more emphasis on getting it fixed since he is still the DC. I do believe Bielema fired one of his coordinators and when they changed the offense around they were much better. I can understand a fluke game but this has happened more than once and has been a pattern of Bo. ITS TALENT GUYS. Common sense sees this. We dont have an NFL laden defense anymore. One guy getting invited to the combine is not the result of a struggling D. The struggling D is the result of one guy getting invited to the combine. Supposedly, help is on the way here. It better be. so every team that didnt have a lot NFL talent on their roster gives up about 54 points per loss on average or could there maybe have been some coaching issues as well
  19. I couldn't agree more with you. I'd even go further and say they had roughly a month of prep time for the CCG, as I never thought Indiana ever had a chance against them...and they had a bye the week before. That's plenty of time to dissect each and every vulnerability we had. They counted on the lack of speed and discipline(this especially) from our defense to be a factor along with more than usual defensive pressure from their end banking on confusing TM, and they were right. Throw in that they had nothing to lose and Bilema knew he was out the door. Not saying we would have won, but the that game was greatly skewed in their favor. Not many teams get essentially that much time with "live" scrimmages every week in between. For me, after taking a step back, there were other losses that bothered me more. I'm tired of hearing this crap that they had a month. They changed their offense and their staff personnel. Yes their starting qb went out and they became more of a running team. Fact is Wisconsin came out ready and we didn't. It's not the first time a Bo Pelini team came out flat. but its not their fault
  20. i was hoping we were all past the loss in the CCG now i'm mad about it all over again damn it :steam :steam
  21. he was also 221 pounds and nebraska listed him at 205 maybe he was out of shape or just put on to much weight during the offseason
  22. what did brett maher run? or do kickers even run the 40
  23. i think braxton miller is very very good and he has loads of potential but the #1 player in the big 10 i'm not so sure about that

Say this in all honesty, if Taylor can keep the TOs on one hand you will be hard pressed to find a better football player in the nation.

  24. taylor will probably be a wr/kick return guy like josh cribbs from the browns
