  1. Agreed - but even stranger: How does a guy with 91 87 felony indictments, a guy convicted of rape and fraud, a guy facing jail time for insurrection charges and hush money charges and a guy who took secret govt documents and bragged about having them get the 88% of the primary vote of a whole party?? Pretty bad gravy in my book - Knapp - the kind you wouldn't but on any of your prized recipes. Regarding RFKjr - pretty nutso - and can you imagine listening to that voice for 4 years
  2. And this POS thinks it shows his importance that the Iranians would give him a heads up call.
  3. Don't forget about Firehouse Subs - not sure if you have those sub shops in your area.
  4. There is nothing Trump does that isn't corrupt in some way.
  5. Yeah and their side business - Making calendars for Girl Scouts to sell
  6. Hard combination to compete with. Dang Hallmark - always knew they were a fireman propaganda organization.
  7. Of course Teach you aren't doing it ......... you're spending your productive time on Husker Board
  8. $10 he's a trump voter.
  9. Well, you need to have a big enough ego to think it would be the best place you can make a difference and that no one could do it better than you. For some it would be a calling, for others an ego trip for all it would probably be the hardest job they held.
  10. Trump losing GOP voters everywhere. Haley still gets 12.8%m 14%, 12.9%, & 10.6%. This could be setting up as a landslide for Biden if these voters continue to vote against Trump in the GE. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/donald-trump-stung-in-primary-as-huge-number-of-republicans-vote-against-him/ar-BB1kZvnZ?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=DCTS&cvid=11364e7fb96f46a8bce8d38537ac5afd&ei=18
  11. I like this response - size is always an issue with Trump one way or the other.
  12. Someone agreed wt me https://www.rawstory.com/trump-adoration/
  13. Will Smith and Randy Quaid will handle those green men or we could throw some water on them or throw a bit of Covid their way. We got it handled. Ok which 3 sci do movies did we find those solutions??
  14. Our 'righteous cause' isn't always so righteous. I wonder what would happen if we stopped being the world's police man? Some would say the world would go to hell - the dictators would rule. Others would say, let each country live out the consequences of their own choices. Others might say, if we don't do it, the strong will keep oppressing or taking over the weak (Russia/Ukraine). In many cases perhaps most, we get in our own way in seeking to doing what we think is good.
  15. Sometimes I feel 'convicted' that I can be very harsh on Trump. I know that" but for the grace of God so go I". Yet at other times, I know we have to call out that which is hurtful &damaging - esp when he has no remorse for the things he does and says. Ultimately I cannot judge the guy - that isn't my job to judge him to an eternal destiny but to discern and speak out against the injustice he represents.
  16. Of course the banquet giver isn't an exact representative of God the Father. The target audience of the parable are the religious leaders who should have been first at the table by the fact that they should have been exhibiting the attributes of 'good religion' which would have been inclusive and showed humility. But since those making the excuses (aka the religious leaders of the day) declined to come into the banquet by the way of humility (which really is the theme of the parable) the first would become last and the last would become first. Thus those who came by the way of humility, the outcasts by the world's standard, would be the first - and they in the real banquet would always be welcomed. Some would argue that those who would 'become last' would not be excluded ultimately but that they would also be included but at a time when they made humility as the way of life. That may mean they go through the school of hard knocks in the present life and separation for a time in the next life (if one believes 'judgment' is restorative and remedial and not retributive as I do). First and last are included just like A and Z are both a part of the alphabet. In this case if A was proud of being first, it would be made last due to its proud response. Better to take the humble seat at the table and be asked to move up then take the proud seat and asked to move down. They are still at the table but at a cost to their pride - which ultimately is a good thing - what some call 'severe mercies'.
  17. Yep, the average Joe is easily persuaded to buy pass his reasoning ability.
  18. Well if you ever do an event in Oklahoma - let me know. I'll want to crash it. I appreciate you guys who can do it - I can barely keep burgers and veggies from burning while trying to do both at the same time.
  19. I find that our human weaknesses we often 'war against' the things we are weakest in. How many preachers against sexual sins get caught in adultery, how many child care workers get caught abusing, etc. How many of those for the 18th amendment had their own demons with alcohol? " Know Thy Self" and Judge Not" should be the order of the day. I am pro-life because I want to speak up for the baby, but I am also pro-life for the woman in the situation -I as a man, can't fully understand or relate to her experience. But that is why my wife and I have supported organizations that help mothers who decided to keep their baby & women who are struggling with the decision, & also organizations that help disadvantaged children.
  20. Knapp and @Guy Chamberlin I think the below quote applies to both of your posts. The older I get, the more loving and accepting I see God the Father. For Jesus said he was a reflection of who God really is - "He who has seen me has seen the Father". A great book along those lines is Brad Jersak's "A More Christ-like God- A More Beautiful Gospel" - gets rid of the false image of the revengeful, angry, retributive god of bad theology which affects too much of western theology but not all of Christianity (A theology which led to the Dark Ages and was a form of political control when Rome and the church at the time were tied at the hip). Jersak's other book "Her Gates will Never Shut" also gives a more hopeful picture of 'end things' - a more hopeful viewpoint that most of the church in the first 3-4 centuries held before Govt and Religion united to control people. (Thus the reason I'm so opposed to Trump's Cult) Luke 14 The Parable of the Great Banquet vs 10-26 But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” Then one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, “Blessed is the one who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.” Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’ “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’ “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’ “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’ “The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame. (TG: Taking editorial liberty: bring in those consider outcast by the self righteous - The LGBTQ.., the illegal or legal immigrant, _) “‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’ “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”
  21. Yes the crazies got the nation in an uproar over acholic beverages it seems. I wonder how many of them were drinking in those speak easys after the amendment passed?
  22. What kind of catering? BQ? The friend I mentioned above from Dallas does a lot of catering wt his large wood fire BQ trailer - does weddings etc.
  23. I edited my post above also. I don't believe pro-life means there should never be an abortion. Yes, with the radicals but I think for many it doesn't.
