  1. In Bo's defense, wasn't he the first guy at Nebraska since 2001 to actually beat a ranked team? He's also won his division three out of the last four years, something which neither Solich or Callahan did. The blowout losses are certainly troubling, but you have to look at both sides of the coin. Bo has gone 3 of 5 two of those were thanks to the B12 North Beat ranked okie state in 03 Beat ranked ISU in 05 Beat Ta&m in 06 Frank inherited Toms boys went to the title game but slowly become average with poor recruiting. Callahan faced an uphill battle as he had no talent to work with. He loaded the shelves in Lincoln and left it for Bo. Bo has now depleted our roster talent like Frank. So here we sit all broken hearted, tried to poo but only farted
  2. And a defense that will dominate our OL. As husker fans our rears may be sore from this game
  3. Oh crap.....this is bad....and I mean bad
  4. You don't see that....Bo's numbers are so padded by inferior competition. BCS teams are a measuring stick. We are pedestrian and average in that regard. We have a losing record against top 25 and almost half our losses are to unranked teams
  5. Yeah if we lose by say 28 we will have the worst since before Devaney. We are also breaking records in yards allowed etc left and right
  6. I think he would be a great coach if he didnt let his ego get in the way... Or he felt like making recruiting a priority or if he hired competent assistants....the list goes on and on
  7. If you look at the stats and numbers I posted in the margin of defeat dating back to the 90's thread you will go to completely giving up on Bo
  8. 8-11 vs top 25 teams in those 5 years 8 of his 19 losses were against unranked teams 42% of losses are to unranked teams
  9. Bo already said the season was now a failure
  10. If it's so easy to do, why is Bo only one of 2 coaches currently, and 1 of only 4 in history to do it? There is a thread on it somewhere about this 9 win thing already and that even though there are more games in a season, the competitiveness, frequency of coaching turnover, and scholarship limts creating parody, 9 wins is still the standard, especially on a multi year basis. Name the coaches and what conference they play in. If they played in the B12 North and the B1G then congrats Bo.
  11. We played awful. No excuses and Bo took the blame. I've watched a ton of Wisconsin games this year and I really didn't recognize a single set they ran last night. We weren't prepared and got so out coached it is sickening
  12. What?!?! Can you provide a link? I gotta see the articles written by sweat socks haha
  13. Bo deserves it....year five here we are. Big stage is always a loss. Heck it wasn't like we were playing Bama
  14. Yours does already. You have a method that all successful coaches and businesses use to be successful and improve.
  15. I'm with warrior here...thought we were in position most of the time. So he can scheme just not coach fundementals? Or he can't recruit players capable of executing his scheme? He failed somewhere as it is a recurring theme for him and his teams
  16. Ha! I hope we win whatever bowl game we back into, but if we are playing LSU or Texas A&M, heaven help us. It could be 80-0. A&M would make the Wisky game look close
  17. Current class rank #32 2012 class #25 2011 class #15 2010 class #22 2009 class #28 2008 class #30 A closer look 2008 1 five star OT played DT 2 four star only 1 contributed and is on team A closer look 2009 5 four stars only 2 contributed Green,Williams, Washington MIA A closer look 2010 8 four stars - 2 JUCOs gone -1 never made it -4 of them currently play A closer look 2011 11 four stars -4 never made it/transfers -1 JUCO graduating this year -1 passed up by walk ons and all other scholarship DT's -5 have potential or have played A closer look 2012 6 four stars -2 JUCO injured or buried on depth chart -4 with potential
  18. Grow how? Food for thought. This season we have 2 of the top 3 worst defensive yards allowed all time. The worst was from OU in the 50's when they didn't lose a game for 5 seasons. This was the worst rushing allowed all time. a 60+ game and a 70 game in points allowed. Same thing happened in 2007. Pelini's average recruiting ranking is in the mid 20s. Do you see anyway its getting better when the kids they are recruiting were not even in grade school the last time Nebraska won anything? Bingo! tOSU and Mich are pulling away in terms of recruiting. We are way behind and will not compete consistently if this trend continues. Heck Look at the top 25 class rankings this season and see what teams are beating us currently....it is pathetic
  19. By "excited" do you mean that it could reach epic levels of Dirk ruhtardedness? Yes
  20. People really need to stop with this 9+ win garbage argument. Bo has played in the BigXII North when it blew and a terrible B1G. His 9 wins are padded by 3 non BCS schools that blow. He also plays 13-14 games a year. Used to play more like 11. All that matters to me is BCS competition and W/L against top 25 teams. Both f which have been average and that is generous. We are Nebraska. We put too much money etc into this program and are currently Frank Solich 2.0! Always saying oh we got this one recruit that is a stud and will turn this baby around only to realize everyone else is pedestrian and we skate by. A comparable number to 9 wins a season in today's scheduling format would be 11 wins a season roughly. We are average and it is hidden by the competition we face.
  21. Did a terrific job in the offseason. Turned around our recruiting and was the reason why you had so many people stoked about it. Once the season hit though, that full head of steam may have cooled off. I think giving ST duties to somebody else could be helpful in that regard, but who knows? This year looks a heck of a lot like last season in terms of results. We don't emphasis recruiting like the big boys do
  22. Excited to see what Dirk has to say
  23. Despite Wisconsin putting it on film all year, I can understand a Bo Pelini coached team not being prepared for it coming into the game. This is a Bo Pelini coached team, after all. But after the first couple times they had staggering success with it, you'd think our staff would realize that maybe they'd run it again? Maybe attempt to adjust to it at some point? Perhaps I should temper my expectations. This is what I find comical with our staff. An offensive play does well and the opponent continues to run it. We find a play or formation that works consistently when ran and don't use it again because the defense will expect it! The diamond formation always works and we rarely see it No diamond, no toss sweep, no making their LB's go side line to side line. We just went full stupid in that game on both sides of the ball. You gotta try...if they stop it use it to set other plays up. You can't just abandon it. The best offensive minds are not thinking of what play to call now they are thinking of what play will setup plays for the next 10 downs. We play checkers and the best play chess. It is obvious
