  1. We're here to talk football, not be douche bags please do better.
  2. A lot of this class feels like that, a lot of length and athleticism. Excited to see what this guy can do.
  3. C/D Seems like in his heart he wanted to play for Nebraska. Frost royally f#&%ed it up and probably soured Dylan on Nebraska. He decided on Georgia as they were a national power and back to back national champions. Its hard to know if his NIL was changed but seems like Nebraska isn't paying him all that crazy if the 2.5 mil for 4 years is accurate.
  4. Hey Mav, what does the green color fill mean like IGC? Is it to denote a player using a medical redshirt waiver?
  5. Exactly making sure the kid is for sure, for sure.
  6. Can you post a comparison with DR college stats? DR has a great arm no doubt but dude hasn't even played a snap let's chill.
  7. Some of this commentary is laughable, If you think NEB is on the chopping block in the B1G that's just foolish. Nebraska fans still support the team like none other. We've been regularly part of the top 2-3 most watched B1G football game every year. We meet or beat attendance numbers in most other sports. Nebraska playing = eyeball's on TV sets and that's what really matters.
  8. Just noticed that the Illinois game is on Friday like WTH why, the B1G just loves giving us the short stick.
  9. He had surgery and has been out for the spring. It wouldn't surprise me if Smoother's took the stay in school get it paid for but not count against the team scholarship numbers route.
  10. Like how low digit license plates in some country's are desirable it's kind of a status symbol.
  11. I was reading something yesterday that he would be going on his mission. Wouldn't that make him basically a 2026 guy?
  12. By they sounds of what we're telling kids on the recruiting trail we'll be running an RPO similar to what he ran @ Baylor. He also doesn't seem to want to limit himself and is willing to adapt and adjust what we run based on who we have and who we'll play. I'm excited to see what it looks like on both sides of the ball.
  13. Exactly, kinda feel like we're shooting ourselves in the foot not having our staff in place to meet visitors this weekend and close out early signing day.
  14. From what I've gathered from interviews he had every intention of taking a year off and spending time with family and the such. Shortly thereafter he realized he can't just sit at home and needed to be coaching a team. I'm sure he had a short list of guys he had for position coaches and the such, but there's so many dynamics to football, who knows if some guys wanted to stay in the pros or retire or had no interest in moving to Nebraska. While the Raiola hire is a bit of a headscratcher, it does provide continuity to an OL that hasn't seen much of that. Rhule must see something we don't and we just have to trust him on that judgement. Hopefully the O-line is improved but only time will tell.
  15. I don't expect him to be out there being Josh Allen and lowering the shoulder on a defender. Make the read if the QB run is it take your 5 yds or whatever and move on to the next play.
  16. Exactly, who knows if he was comfortable with what he was being asked to teach. I would assume he had some input but when your HC and OC want to run a specific scheme you're forced to block for that scheme. Foley and Rhule have a bit of OL experience and will likely be able to help him work with the players. I guess I'll take a wait and see approach with Raiola, hoping to see some strides this year.
  17. Haven't heard a peep about our WR coach, makes me assume it's an NFL guys. Ik Frisman Jackson previously worked with him @ Baylor and Carolina, but he's with the Steelers now and i'm unsure how much he'd want to drop back to the college ranks. Have y'all heard of any potential candidates?
  18. Exactly Rhule has shown he can develop these guys, I can't really even point to one guy Frost and staff developed.
  19. Not a specific question related to DC but what base defense do you think we run. I was trying to find what base Rhule ran at Baylor and Temple but didn't find much. Seems like a lot of our bigger DTs are entering the portal and makes me think we're moving towards a different scheme where he wants the DT to be more pass rush oriented and not just eating up blocks. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
  20. If it is Schumann when do you think we get an announcement? Do we have to wait until they're done with the CFP? Or does it get announced after today's game? Obviously you want him here and recruiting, but he might be worth the wait.
  21. I'm playing on the LSU connection I think Mickey is to much of a tool at recruiter to be a full time HC. I would like to see Dave Aranda here, has worked with both Joseph and Busch in the past and could possibly be worked with to retain them. He's a defensive minded HC which is what we need, also like BIll and Mickey he's not a sunshine pumper he'll tell things like they are and not beat around the bush. Aranda I think is the best way for us to retain a few of the "good" staff members around here, knows and can trust the opinion of Bill and Mickey to hopefully give a long look to Applewhite and Beckton.
  22. You'll likely be able to walk up to just about any tailgate and enjoy a beer and conversation with husker fans. The parking lots around the stadium are technically dry but I would venture to guess there will be plenty of people with red solo cups. Lots of parking lots downtown will be hosting large tailgates. If you don't get invited to a particular one don't fret just walk around downtown and you'll likely be invited into more than a handful.
  23. Mav is there a way to block people on this site?
