  1. Quite the shocker coming out of South Bend. Says they are not allowed to release the reasons but if he has been immeadiately kicked out and they don't release why, it must be pretty bad. This has to drastically hurt the chances for the Irish, especially since Keil just transferred out as well http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/9312336/everett-golson-leaves-notre-dame-fighting-irish
  2. Pretty impressive highlights. I wonder if those Alabama, Texas and Clemson offers are for QB or as an ATH. Anyone have some info on this kid?
  3. His QB, Peyton Bender committed to Wash St. He made some nice throws in these highlights.
  4. With an offer list and highlights like that, I would be shocked if he doesn't get bumped up by recruiting services. He would be a great add for us but I don't know if we will win this recruiting battle.
  5. The video says he was 245lbs as a soph and now he is 295lbs going into his senior year? That's quite the weight gain.
  6. Reminds me of Newby. Great talent, would love to see us put the full court press on him.
  7. According to hudl, his 40 is a 4.73. Possibly explains why we may be his first offer.
  8. What position are we looking at this kid for? Safety?
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if he played Special Teams in the NFL, but you didn't state anything along those lines on your initial post Turd sandwich who was our return game last year? Abdullah, Turner, Bell, Marlowe? Those are the main people I remember returning kicks... NFL teams are allowed to have 45 active players on a gameday roster. It is HIGHLY unlikely a team carries a kick return specialist. This is even more unlikely since the kickoff changes and now nearly 50% of kickoffs are even returned. His only chance would be if he proved to be able to make a team as a 4th or 5th wide receiver and they happen to put him back to return kicks A lot of NFL teams actually have return specialists. Josh Cribbs, Trindon Holliday, Devin Hester pretty much is, Denard Robinson could find himself in one of those roles as well.
  10. Seems like a decent prospect, I would put him third on my list. 1. Darlington 2. Wade 3. Harris
  11. I love the idea. Defense has always been a cornerstone of Nebraska Football and I'm all for supporting that.
  12. I thought Kondolo was being looked more at a G/C. If a juco saw time at tackle, it would be Finnin. I think Sirles and Qvale will start with Finnin rotating in. Similar thing would then happen at G with Cotton and Long with Kondolo rotating in.
  13. I agree, he seems to be a little bit more of an established passer and to fit more of Beck's prototypical quarterback.
  14. Any update on this kid? Saw that scout had him as the number 6 overall player in the country for 2014.
  15. It's been reported that he can NOT transfer to another B1G school or Kentucky. As far as I know there is no word on where he is looking. Anynews on where this kid decided to go? Or stay? Not sure where he may end up but I've heard there is no way in hell we would release him to Kentucky.
  16. http://www.cornnation.com/2013/2/12/3981050/nebraska-hires-kate-upton-to-help-with-recruiting Not sure if this is true or not, but if it is, this is one of our best ideas ever.
  17. Being a 20 year old, I like the helmet. As long as it is only for one game, it's fine. It's something new and exciting and generates attention. I wasn't a huge fan of the alternates this year, the were too plain, if you're going to do a new design, make it something no one has seen before, not switch some colors around like they did against wiscy.
  18. Really like this kid's size/athleticism. Near the top of my list for WR targets for 2014. May be a tough get though.
  19. I'd say most underrated goes to Greg Hart. Has a lot of potential and great size. As for best commits I think Johnny Stanton and Terell Newby, both great playmakers that I think will lead this team to great things.
  20. Aaron Green left for TCU and just done with sitting out his required year. Granted, he hasn't done anything yet but I believe he definitely has the talent to be a stud for them.
  21. All those reverses he was taking to the house gave me terrible flashbacks of our defense in the CCG. Fuller has impressive speed though, would have liked to see him in more situations as a receiver, he had a few nice catches though.
  22. Yes, Charles is definitely moving to safety, it's not a rumor really. I have heard three coaches talk about it openly, he practiced there throughout bowl practices. Plus P.J. Smith acknowledged that he is moving to safety, as well. But you're right, too. My thinking is just that you need 4 capable WR's and only two safeties. We are extremely inexperienced there, but just as a reference point, take Dixon's RS-soph year. Hypothetically, there will Charles Jackson as a 3 year starter being a senior, Gerry a RS-soph, Singleton possibly a returning starter as a junior. Our problems at safety our NOW, but I think will be secure by the time Dixon will realistically get playing time, whereas at WR we are in great shape now, but will be in trouble in the future. In the end, we are both probably right, just differing opinions. I think the coaches will move him to where ever they see him being needed which is good enough for me Very true. I think he will be a solid player for us wherever he plays at.
  23. Thats a good statement but the same goes for safety and its worse. Who do we have at safety? Harvey Jackson is the only one with playing experience and behind him who do we have? Corey Cooper has some game experience but he may not be a safety next year. Charles Jackson is rumored to go but no one knows for sure. After that we have Gerry and Singleton, both are unproven and could be busts. We have 4 safeties, maybe 5 with Cooper, that is a far worse situation then at WR. Although Dixon wants to be a WR, and will start off there, he is needed much more at safety.
