Have we not learned after the first 4 weeks not to make these threads anymore?
"This is going to be Nebraska's first win, trust me guys"
"Why (fill in the blank team) loses and Nebraska gets its first win"
Its bad luck.
I watched this on the replay and couldn't help but LOL counting numbers and wondering what was the protection call.
Austin should be both embarrassed and walking someone to the bench after that. It looked like a division II play.
We've gotta exercise these Cavanaugh demons somehow.
Just read a stat that Michigan had 14 TFLs. With 3 seniors on the interior I think it might be time to at least try reshuffling the lineup.
Yeah they might have a great d-line, but the unit looked more clueless than in the previous 2 games at times.
I'd like to see a few starters benched and backups sent to the scout team if they are the guys Tanner and Scott were referring to. Send a message and show you aren't afraid of putting walk-ons out there since we are starting from ground zero and stand to gain long term experience.
Accountability has been missing for too long.
Young is probably the fastest ILB and one of the best cover guys. For being a senior though he missed a lot of assignments the past couple games and got caught way out of position.
Honas got a lot better as the game went on and I think a Barry/Honas combo would help us in the long run.
Would like to see a gameplan in which our guys actually come more prepared than the other team and finally make less mistakes. Colorado and Troy seemed to have a lot of schemes that took advantage of our relative green offense and defense.
I wonder when the script flips.
Watched the replay of the game and thought back to last year when Decker was in there and it seemed like a vastly improved unit.
Wonder when someone else will get a shot besides Farmer. Too many guys standing around at the end of plays that end up with our ballcarrier getting sandwiched. Conrad I counted the most.
O-line play won't improve until the guy who makes the calls and snaps the ball improves. Our interior play, snaps, and sliding of protection has been pretty lackluster up until now and led to a few turnovers.
A lot to love about the long term.
Center might be a position that needs to get looked at from a pro football focus perspective. Boe Wilson or John Raridon should be gunning for CC's spot.
O-line as a whole needs a little work with how many shots our QB's were taking.
An opener against Akron would have really helped to work out these mistakes.
7 Sacks? These guys were phenomenal.
