  1. Andy Janovich or C.J. Zimmerer I think would take UCLA by suprise on the goal line or in the open field on some kind of swing/screen pass. Fullback is not an extinct position for toting the rock, and I think our guys are capable and athletic enough to add yet another weapon to Scoring Explosion version II. We have been spoiled with a fullback pipeline, I think if any program can begin a resurgance of the position it would be UN. Does anyone see this happening come Saturday? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2q8alZGTslc
  2. I learned our three rb's, (4 if you count AT), have each a seperate skill set that will make the offense very versatile further down the road with B1G defenses. Randy Gregory is reminiscent of a taller Demarcus Ware. The defense showed fly around capabilities when playing with confidence. Mohammed seisay is a big hit away from balling out and having the light fully come on.
  3. I admit, last weekend after the Wyoming game I became really angry and started to believe the cynicism that the seasons outlook was beginning to look very grim. I am among the husker fans who impulsively put whatever is on their mind on a public venue whether it be HB, Huskermax, or any other social media outlet. It wasn't until I re-watched the game and read proverbs 3:21 that I began to see I was not doing anything constructive or helpful to anyone and that we were very close to playing to the level of the Cornhuskers of old. I created this topic as a testimony to the ability of at least one fan to change the way I treat my team rain or shine. I'm gonna stand by my team from this season onward with passionate affection and patient understanding. These players and coaches are going through a tremendous trial every day and I know now to never bash my own team.
  4. Well moving ahead the other jerseys than the 7 which were handed out need to be earned for more than the keepsake of the title. There were a lot of good signs from the defense tonight here and there, but the team must find a way to play together within the scheme while the season is still in the balance.
  5. 1.) Nebraska's defense just gave up 602 yards of offense. 2.) Apparently noone on the husker coaching staff was playing to win in the fourth quarter, (playing not to lose) 3.) Our RB's are stellar 4.) Turnovers are still a priority to clean up 5.) Randy Gregory and SJB were the two bright spots on defense
  6. I'm willing to see a few green faces have growing pains if it means an upgrade in athleticism. The front seven I think are going to take the college football world by storm at about the start of the big ten schedule.
  7. Interesting read on Milt's grasp of how the "pipeline" has evolved since the 80's and 90's. Understandably, a college football offensive line's responsibilities and reads have changed immensely with the high efficiency, passing schemes of teams today. Milt spells out the difference where “It's pretty easy to see the defensive back who gets beat. And when one of those big defensive ends gets by you and sacks the quarterback, they see you. “These guys have a tough, tough job. People keep referring to the past. When you require your offensive tackle to get off the ball on a toss sweep, and then the next play you're trying to handle a guy who's 4.4 on the 40 on the edge and keep him away from your quarterback, that's a lot of work for a big old guy to do.” reining in the kool-aid "pipeline" of old expectations, what would be a realistic goal husker fans should have for the o-line this year? link

  9. I know this might be retreading water under the bridge to a topic already posted, but I want to know what kind of football films huskerboard members are into. What is your favorite football film or top three if you are unable to pick just one? Mine would be hands down Remember the Titans for Coach Yoasts speech scene
  10. Humble, hard-working, gifted, and comes from texas. Adam taylor is gonna be a great husker back if he is able to stay healthy and split playing time with Terrell Newby like mike rozier and Roger Craig did back in the day
  11. At least we were able to make it 18 years without anyone smack talking Nebraska though, right? *person with top 3 draft pick talent at the defensive lineman position
  12. Recall husker fans that the last person to smack talk Nebraska was Warren Sapp prior to the 1995 Orange Bowl and we all know how it turned out, he was manhandled and sucking air at the end. He can say Taylor is 'scared' all he wants while he is the best defensive player in College but the truth plays out under the spotlight.
  13. This is a la mirada uniform promo vid which has Dallis (#2) and Kevin (#10) among others in it
  14. There is a TE we have offered but not sure we're really recruiting him. Also a OT committed to Cal but we haven't offered. Landing Dallis would be huge considering Kevin Dillman is potentially the #1 qb and best player for '15 also going to school at LM.
  15. http://huskercorner....-jonathan-rose/ More following up: "Sources also report that the incident was not reported to police, and is being handled internally by the coaching staff and University. While there have been no official statements made by the school or team, sources tell us that it is likely that Suttles and Brown will be suspended indefinitely with Santos, Rose, and others facing less severe charges." Really disappointing
  16. I'm sold Also girls are much more laid back and easy to talk to than americans. Might be a bit self-conscious about their english but really easy to get to know
  17. They were consuming paraphernalia? That must've been a crazy party. Whatever floats your boat I suppose
  18. They have some American football teams for any age if you wish to live there. Great weather this time of year, great atmosphere, hot women, and lots of outdoor/indoor things to do
  19. Now comes the tough choice for Pelini whether to do what is in Nebraska's character and discipline them or follow suit like the rest of college football and let it slide.
  20. Dunno if anyone has posted a link but heres some more info http://huskercorner.com/2013/06/26/nebraska-corhnuskers-football-four-players-kicked-off-team-jonathan-rose-david-santos-thomas-brown-ernest-suttles-blackshirts/
  21. Welcome aboard mick! About time another KVB comes to play for Nebraska.
  22. Great find by the staff. Besides being a little undersized, (which some still grow bigger in college) , he has nice ball skills and speed to boot. A year or two with Terry Joseph and Trai can be groomed into quite a cover corner for the huskers. GBR
  23. GBR nothing like a last name farmer to road grade the interior of the husker o-line
  24. Would it be a stretch to venture any relation to "Rocket" Ishmael? Seems to be a deep threat type receiver
