Any chance they are bringing him as a WR?  Or is that just crazy talk.

With Rhule, not crazy. Strong likelihood that several position changes may happen.  He once changed a QB to fullback

Or Raiola left UGA because of money, found that money at UNL, and McCord 's bag got lighter?

Rhule's quotes on the McAfee Show were a little too specific regarding freshman commiting with NIL promises. It seems this is the most likely scenario, IMO.

He would be the starter from day one here. DR is going to redshirt, and no one currently on the roster can compete with McCord. I'm guessing McCord doesn't want to rush a decision.

I think, could be wrong, but think Frost explicitly said in PCs that players weren't buying in enough for him? Rhule says "we'll see who's one of us!" or whatever in speeches but I so far have missed if he stood in front of the press saying "wait until I've got MY players!"

Rhule seems to be lifting his players up a bit more than Frost who sent them to the hospital during the first training camp

We are not hiring the right guys for this job.  I have watched KU and KSU over the last few seasons.  There is better talent, and better overall play right now on both of those teams.  Sure KU is battlling lack of defense, but we would take there offense or many of there offensive players on our roster.  KSU has always had better QB play for the most part in the last 20 years.  Better skill players overall during the last 20 years.  Point is Kleiman and Leipold are program builders and player developers.  I am sure we thought we were getting that with Rhule, but nothing yet has shown me he is the same coach who got Temple and Baylor going.  I think the $40 mill he received from Carolina has maybe him less hungry and more fat and happy.  Were an easy payday, simple.

It's really tough to build an entire program, develop players into professionals, and graduate students in 3 weeks.

They had a pretty high talent level, but 0-12 is 0-12 and it's hard to do. We can admit Frost did a great job at UCF (even if it there's more context than "they were 0-12!") without needing to claim he did a good job here.

Yea, he did a really great job. Has anyone heard from him since he left?

Rhule has always had a mobile QB.

Why the f*** do we need a QB at Nebraska in 2023 that can run over a safety? What is the program's obsession with this at this point.

We don't need that. We need somebody that has been brought up with pocket presence, footwork, a good throwing motion - you know, the basics of the position. These dual threat guys are killing us.

Haarberg is maybe more of a passer but he's probably not ready. As far as looking towards 2024, Satterfield might be the biggest obstacle. Let's say there's more of a pass-first guy in the portal who likes what we can offer with NIL...does that kind of a player really want to play in this scheme?

There should be major questions about Rhule’s eye for talent.  He admitted he had no idea Sims led the country in turnovers when he brought him in.

That's a thing that happened in real life.

Didn't he have a bunch of his dudes from Temple playing for him in the NFL? lmao

His eye for talent puts unrated players into the League.  While he was at Temple,  he had more active players in the NFL than Utah, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, and Colorado.

He said as much as he was introduced. He's looking for athletes more than highly rated players

He's recruited 52 High School players and only 10 are 4*s. The QB of the future isn't currently on the roster. The influx of talent isn't there.

It's an absolutely massive failure, and this with the easiest schedule Nebraska will have for the foreseeable future.

Rhule is not going to build rosters with an overwhelming amount of high starred players. It's just not how he does it, but the last part is very accurate. And this is something that has evolved after he was hired. He needs to evolve, too.
