This is just wrong. Perlman is an excellent chancellor and has been great for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I would say that even if we had lost every football game since he had been here. We try and talk about what's important for the football team and sportsmanship, graduation rates, and staying out of trouble are always listed. The money the football team makes is a drop in the hat compared to the endowment and the federal research dollars (not to mention the tuition payments) that the university and Perlman deal with and manage. UNL is a premier land-grand university that just happens to have a football team. I am proud to have attended UNL. I got to see a lot of great football games, but more importantly, I received a world-class education.

Not sure if they are jumping the gun or just trying to welcome him for his visit. Either way, I am pretty confident considering his tweet.

lot of them are early enroll. and keep in mind they had a large number of transfers. And didn't they get some scholarships back?

Is he waiting until signing day to announce his decision?

Looks like the Huskers have a new QB target in Jaquez Parks. Mike Schaefer has an article about it on 24/7, but it looks like it is behind a pay wall.

I wear a "N" on my clothes because I am proud to have gone to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and proud of the student athletes that represented me while I was there and currently represent my alma mater. Nothing could have happened today that would have changed that. I still bleed scarlet and cream. Go B1G Red!

No mention in the article of what each inherited? Tom inherited a team that won the last 3 Orange bowls and had won 2 out of the last 3 National Champsionships. Bo inherited a team that hadn't made a bowl game 2 out of the last 4 years. But I will agree, Tom did better in his 6 years than Bo, but jeez, I probably could have with what Dr. Tom inherited.

What about hiring Tressel and strongly encouraging him to hire Frost as OC/associate head coach. Frost would be getting a promotion, get to be he head coach for the first 6 games of the season and the bowl game, and be our next coach-in-waiting. I know you want Tressel to hire his own guys and don't want to limit him, but the guy would owe us one for hiring him. Just depends on if they would get along.

Thank God none of you head cases are on the team or in any positions of power within the organization. No duh we won't be going to a bowl game of any significance. Last I checked there is only one of those. The BCS bowls are also nice because of the payout and because some people perceive them as a standard, but really, the national champsionship is the only one that "matters". I think we know what the team would look like if they had you alls' attitude: Georgia, Florida, Northwester, etc. Good teams that just stop caring. That has never happened for one of Bo's teams. These guys will keep playing hard despite what you Negative Nancys think about them. As to the original post, I gotta think we are going to BWW Bowl where we beat up on one of our old pals from the Big XII.
