  1. I went to Chicago 5 years ago for vacation and would definitely go back. Too bad they are moving the College Football Hall of Fame to Georgia though.
  2. How is It b******* gets censored and purple doesnt? CONSPIRACY!
  3. So as much as I love Big Red, I have yet to go through my right of passage that is attending an away game and being a part of the best traveling fans in the land. I want to make a trek next year but Im torn on what game would be the best to do so. Open to suggestions.
  4. Woulda been nice before the Ann Arbor trip.
  5. If it wasnt cooying Penn State, a Whiteout i Lincoln with coordinated spots of red would be cool. And yes the 07 USC was a sight to see.........as long as you didnt watch the game.
  6. Exactly. Spot on, last time I checked Blackshirts are as storied a tradirion as the sea of red. Maybe in 20-30 years we will be able to achieve a full on Black out. For now though Im good with us packing the house, being loud and making it a nightmare for opposing teams.
  7. And I'm sure you make the same excuses for Bo and the Huskers in the 2010 losses to aTm, OU and Washington, right? No that's different Bo was being outcoached and outclassed aTm was officiating, but the OU game was on Bo for playing TMart with a bad wheel. Without his wheel, he is worthless. Lee should have finished the game once we were up by a big margin. The Washington game was hard to get anyone up for becuase they had just beaten that team and that loss was more on Barney's pathetic OL than TMart IMO. I think you have it backwards. For OU I dont feel there was a backup that we couldve played, Lee was hurt as well and Cody Green Im not convinced he wasnt dinged up too. Washington in Bowl was all on coaches. If I had to nit pick at my main man Bo thats the game. No excuse for that debacle, really shouldnt have gone down like that.
  8. Brilliantly said. Nobody wants to admit what a feat this was. Very dificult situation handled admirably. I think that 2008 was his best coaching job, espically the bowl win over Clemson. That IMO is by far his biggest win as HC at NU. It was a big win for him no doubt. I dunno about biggest but definitely top 5 in terms of impact. The reason that I say that is because of the difference in team speed was very noticeable and not in our favor. We had no business even being within two TD's of that team, but we not only played them tough, we won it. Plus it is just about the only win over a big name team that doesn't have an asterisk due to the opponent missing their starting QB. Mizzou 2010 Michigan State 2011 Michigan was just flat stupid to not play Gardener last year but it wouldnt have mattered. I will give you Mizzou, Arizona, Oklie Light and MSU....there is no way to tell about UM because shoelace was just starting to make our defense look stupid when he got hurt. It was still way too close with zero threat at the QB position for anyone to say that if they played Gardner that it wouldn't have made a difference. OU in 2009 was missing their entire offense and PSU in 2012 was nothing special as they just went through hell that week. If anything, we should have blown them out instead of just squeaking that game out. PSU in 12 was a year removed from the scandal and was a true solid unit.
  9. We beat 5 crappy teams and have two more on the schedule. 0-1 vs teams with a heartbeat with 4 left. November will tell the tale of this season. ABsolutely it will. But a wins a win and ever win boosts a young squads confidence WAY more than nipicking the obvious weaknesses.
  10. Arizona 09 OkieState 10 Oklahoma 09 Penn State 12

  12. 5-1, Offense is churning out points, Defense is young but developing quickly. Im happy with it.

  14. Pretty sure being tied for 1st in the nation with 3 sacks allowed is not a weakness. As for the linebackers and defensive line, they may be our biggest weaknesses right now but I don't see that being the case for too much longer. I will take this years linebackers and d-line over last years or the last couple years even, any day, they just need to keep gaining the reps and experience. We should be pretty pleased to have some of these players next year or the following year at the latest. I also think the staff is very slowly learning how to make second half adjustments. I think there is a very big learning curve to being able to make the proper adjustments, when you have little to no prior experience in this area. So you are saying that we have bad coaches that you hope get better over time? I think I have heard just about every excuse for this coaching staff possible after that one. As for the DL/LB's just because they are better than the pile of crap we had there last year doesn't make them good. Just average at best, but it is better than being totally worthless as they were last year. Sometimes false hope is the only hope and that is that they are young. The OL is doing a lot better than any other time under Bo, what a difference getting Barney's worthless butt away from them does. Now we just need to get him away from the program and stop wasting over 200K a year for nothing. So did you have anything positive to say or were you just wanting to rag all over a positive thread?
  15. Its pronounced "Possibly French Interception Machine". Common mistake.
  16. I'll give ya that, they do seem nastier overall on defense. Perhaps the youthful injection brings that out. As far as coming out pumped, get Jason Peter in the locker room before each game, call him a Motivational Coach. Should be enough to amp the team up.
  17. Our o line is playing really well this year I thought
  18. Killer instinct on defense gets you ejected unfortunately. Cant just let em play the game.
  19. Iw was saying the same thing the other day. Players are scared to make a hit so scoreboards reflect that now. Either make the hit and get penalized or ejected or called a dirty player, OR make an arm tackle and listen to the media/fans say you need benched. Its a lose lose time for defense.
  20. And hell, who oamong us still makes the right decisions all the time. I said I wasnt going to drink Whiskey if we lost to UCLA. But I still woke up with no memory of anthing past 6pm........or pants.
  21. Every situation is different. Bo seems to be a good judge of character. He likes his team to reflect that. I like his attitude towards that. Second chances are something every coach should consider if the circumstance calls for it.
  22. Bo runs a tight ship. No nonsense or you are out. Ill take that any day over 12 win seasons we have to vacate because of some infraction down the road.
  23. A one off every couple years against Wiscy would be ideal
  24. Kinda hope Wiscy sticks with the Red lids they sported against NW. Those were awesome.
  25. Won't that be D-Magic's senior year? Oh it would be. But by 2018 D Magic will be playing Safety and QB and have won the Heisman. So he will enter the draft after his Junior year.
