  1. People seem to forget that Osborne played for National Titles long before he won one. People seem to forget that Osborne had 18 top 10 finishes, 24 top 15 finishes and NEVER finished a season unranked. Osborne's teams never showed up unprepared and his staff was never out coached even though sometimes the Huskers were outplayed on the field. Elf wins a cigar!!! This is what it is about!!!!!! I remember the heartbreaking loses during the Osborne era BUT Nebraska never (NEVER) look as horrible on the field as they have looked under Pelini or Callahan or Solich.
  2. He is changing? Unacceptable, Fire Bo! -1 Seriously? Do we have to put the sarcastic sign next to everything? +1
  3. I agree to a point, but it you can get a proven HC that has shown he knows how to get a staff to recruit AND has NE ties and would have a full appreciation of the culture and values, that would be a HOME RUN IMO. I think Richt would be a good option. I get a bit of what EZ is saying, but he is glossing over what Richt has done in his entire time at UGA. What if Richt were to come and hire Frost as his OC? I think I could sign up for that. I only see Frost coming here if he's offered HC. I think the moment he is offered HC, he'll take it, but I doubt he accepts anything less. Based on his body of work so far as an OC, I would say he would be justified in his thinking. Remember his body of work is pretty small though. Don't get me wrong, I really like Scott Frost but he hasn't even the OC for a complete year yet and people are talking about giving the keys to the kingdom. Pelini had more time as a DC and look how he has done with that?

If you have a great prospect that also happens to have that tie, great! But if not that should be ok also. I think the Mark Richt idea is a good one but we have get ride of the baggage we have first.
  5. Before everybody starts making thier list of coaches they want, I think it is important to look at your qualifications for him. One thing some people talk about if this person having "Nebraska ties". I don't feel that this is a top qualification that the next coach has to have. I think it is more important that they be able to recruit and coach the players they have then whether or not they went to college here or have family living in Nebraska.
  6. Agreed. No way should we bench Martinez. He deserves to be the starter and how soon we forget he lit up the Bruins in the first half last week. And we played a lower-level team today, huge difference people! He didn't light up the bruins at all. but it's all good because Tommy lit up a team that probably gets torched next week by NDSU as well. Again let me make it clear I liked what I saw from the QBs, yes BOTH of them today, but you are a delusional human our you think today is equal to even what will be seen against Illinois as far as an opposing defense You are correct in the fact that Illinois would be a much tougher test for Armstrong, but with the constant mistakes by a 5th year senior, I think either Armstrong or Kellog would be a better choice from here on out. I remember when Mike Grant was the starter(and a 5th year senior also) and Dr. Tom gave it to Frazier. I also remember Frazier laying an egg at ISU the next week after being crowned the starter. I know there would be bumps along the way and some might be heartbreaking BUT the only thing Taylor has that the other two don't is experience. Armstrong and Kellog are better is every other category that I have seen.
