  1. Riley definitely embraces the underdog roll based on how his teams play. That's why I never understood the hire. The guy is a career underdog and was hired to win championship? Makes no sense
  2. When your offense is based on a physical run game you get the Wisconsin/ old nebraska linemen but when your a "balanced" or passing attack your linemen will look more like Nebraskas linemen now because they need to be quicker to pass block apparently. I've though about the topic of this post the last 2 years. Results don't lie gates looks like a hippy Pillsbury doughboy. He should be jacked
  3. At this point can anyone expect less from a Mike Riley managed team. (Notice how I said managed not coached)
  4. I agree 100%. You basically need a NFL QB to run their system how they want it but the problem is how many NFL QBs are out there every year? Even at Oregon State Riley had only 2-3 QBs that we're good enough to run it very well and they still lost at least 4 games those years. At best in Riley's system you will get a 2 year starter because it takes 2-3 before you can even run it effectively. These kids only have 5 years max and 2-3 shouldn't be used to learn a system.
  5. The sad part is the local media will spin this loss into a positive way in way it can. The first step to curing alcoholism is admitting your an alcoholic
  6. Tanner Lee = 6'4" 205 lbsPOB = 6'4" 230 lbs Per roster of Huskermax.com. I saw POB on campus and there's no way he is 6'4. I'd say he is 6'1 at best. There's no way he is any taller than Armstrong. He is for sure 230 tho
  7. Really? Didn't Bo bring in Aaron green, braylon heard, Ameer Abdullah all in the same class? Green was a top running back recruit so was heard. Not to mention all the 4 star linemen on the roster now are Bo's guys. I'm pretty sure Bo brought in the lines of Lavonte David and Randy gregory talent that Riley has never brought in. I wouldn't say we are in a better spot now then when Bo left. The staff turnover doesn't show it and the play and record on the field doesn't show that either. Name me 5 recievers that have ever single handedly won their team any type of championship? You find mind many because top running backs are way more valuable to a team than a top reciever. Ask Penn St. Hackenberg couldn't do crap and they had great recievers on that team. Franklin is hires they get a good RB and a dual threat QB and they win the big 10. If your offense line can't run block effectively which is the easiest type of blocking how do you see a offensive line being more effective in pass blocking? We aren't in a better spot then whe. Bo left. If we were then most of our D line wouldn't of left after Bo did
  8. Seems like riley is getting desperate and is trying to hire anyone with former husker ties just to make good publicity since he doesn't have much else going on for him as far as the rest of the staff goes. All "his guys" seems to be flaming out and as not as high quality of coach as we were told. Anyone that did their research would of known that though.
  9. This is tall tale signs of a head coach in panick mode trying to scramble to save his and SE job
  10. We were never lock down U. We were more playing crappy offenses U.
  11. Disagree Disagree as well if we base it off of what they did at Oregon State. Agreed. There is nothing that I see that shows this team is going to run more. If anything you will see passing 65℅ of the time. Especially considering since Riley has been here our running game has been non existent
  12. 100℅ agree. The fans make 0 decisions when it comes to this stuff it's all on the administration and thr staff it hired. I don't see a 63 year old coach changing much if anything at all
  13. I wouldn't say polar opposites because at the end result is still the same. Finished both seasons unranked with alot of questions on both sides of the ball. Plus 2 season in a row where you fired a staff member. The record may look different but the product on the field was no different.
  14. We traded our fumble problem for an interception problem. Can we get a team any year that doesn't turn the ball over?
