Watching the Avs tonight, and Wyndham Clark was at the game. Announcers mentioned he credited sports psychology and the mental side was what has allowed him to become a top 5 golfer. I can't help but feel we need more of that at Nebraska to get over some of these humps.
I think we have to be a little bit honest, too, in the quality of players, that we actually have. This was a pretty hodgepodge group of guys, and they came together in about the best way you could hope for them to. But at the end of the day, these are a bunch of players, that no other country in the country really wanted, especially as the main pieces to try to build a successful team. We can talk about mentality and confidence being part of the problem, but it’s hard to have confidence when you know at the end of the day you’re not an all-star level player and the chances that the team around you is going to show up consistently at a high level is very low as well.

More like the board was in no hurry, Trev wanted Gold and told them to pull the trigger. They continued to take their time like they wanted, Trev bails, they hire the guy 6 days later just to spite Trev and make him look even more stupid. Love it. Truly, there is no place like Nebraska.

First Trev has to deal with that assistant murder sitch. Then the bball team getting murdered all in his first week.

And we can continue to dig up his alleged old flaws from past jobs all we like, but there is little doubt Trev was a great ambassador had NU athletics going in the right direction. The next AD isn't going to be Mr (or Mrs) Perfect either.
Sure. At the same time, we need to be honest about the means he has used in the past when things at his place of employment start getting tough. If he was a millennial we would all be rolling our eyes about this trend of just ghosting situations he doesn't care to deal with like a grown a$$ adult. Instead, hes a mid 50's guy so we assume he doesn't just flake out which means our entire university system is in the wrong. But an honest look at pretty much every place he's worked prior seems to show something quite different. It's easy to be the king when everything is going well......

Can’t find live stats anymore at the Husker site. Anybody know another place to follow?

That’s actually a decent list.
None of them are going to give him what he wants. Starting job.

I agree with this. It would have the same stink as SF showing back up at this point.
To play QB for a year? I'd take it.

DK is the guy. Stop it. Just stop it. DR is not leaving Georgia.
Daniel, it's going to be ok. We are very excited to have you here, too!

Sorry, its a different world. Money does things to people. Id throw all of you under the bus if it meant getting life changing money and i dont think many other people are different from that.
Not life changing for that family.

You could get a 5 star and he could get injured the first game…we need to keep our guys like Haarberg, that have no other prospects at any school for QB because that is the real way to win championships.

I don’t know if we have room for Raiola.

It was the worst basketball I've ever seen played, and I have a 7 year old in the Lincoln area CYBL league so I've seen some crap.
I honestly have no idea how that team even pretends to move forward from this week. Uninspired does not even begin to describe the second half. Hoiberg better find a leader for that team quick or suit up next game because there is an black hole on that team when looking for somebody to step the F up.

Well this site claims that he had the same number of fumbles as HH (11) and lost 7 of them.
I'm really not interested.
How many snaps did each take? I'd guess Cam's fumble rate is less than a quarter of HH's and also interception rate much better and TD rate also much better. Hope Rhule more willing to look into the "why" of stats and not just take them at straight face value.

He played the most important position on the field in each of our wins. We won in spite of the fact he was on the field.
Fixed it for you. Haarberg is a horrendous Div 1 QB. To argue otherwise is insanity.

We didn't have a scheme this year. You know that because if you have a scheme then half of opposing defense isn't waiting on the QB on every option play because they have to account for the other plays/components that make it an actual scheme. A big reason so many plays ended up as QB runs was the scheme as such didn't exist to force defenders to account for someone else. About the only symmetry this offense had was to hope they over-commited to the QB runs enough that eventually you could drop one over the top for a big play.
We got real good at the “drop one” part.

Can’t wait to see how many offensive players we put in the list! #FireSatt

I agree that starter changes contributed...But you did see where we were only the 3rd team in 53 years? The ineptitude continues to astound me.
But the types of teams that win these types of prizes are poor teams that get decimated by injuries. Like, a 3-9 team that finished with an interim head coach kind of bad followed by the top 2-3 positions across the board the next year sustaining multiple game/season ending injuries.
A 2022 dumpster offense that loses every skill player that made it even limp along doesn’t bode well for any amount of quality depth needed to get through the Big10 2023 season.
And it showed.

I wonder if our D generated this many INT's and fumbles during practice as opponents have in games. I can't imagine that the TO issue only showed itself 1 day per week...
They didn’t really create many on season so I’d suspect it wasn’t super obvious on camp.

Not sure in the time of equality and NIL and all of the rigmarole why there is still a bowl requirement to allow for continued practice. Let all schools practice until December 20th. Why should the teams good enough to make continue to have and advantage over the horrible programs?

In the day of NIL and the Transfer Portal, there are no longer any 3-4 year rebuilds. Players, admn, fans all want wins sooner than 3-4 years IMHO.
Guess I’m not sure that’s true. I know we THINK it should be true. But haven’t seen anybody that has been able to use it to do it. Sanders has us all thinking it was the magic it seems it should be, but it turns out you can’t plug gaping holes in a year and that is even WHEN you bring in an NFL caliber QB.
