  1. It's nice to have something to hold on to, something Iowa fans will never understand.
  2. This is good news, with our full share beginning July 2017 we could afford to keep ticket prices the same. Good move by the decision makers, now get to work on moving the students and fixing the south stadium.
  3. Only 2 of the 5 or 6 were Mooney guys.
  4. Big gamble to promote a GA to full time position, especially at a program like Nebraska. Tavita put together a nice list of 2017 commitments, but I don't see any of them as a "wow" type prospect; like Vince Marrow pulled when he was a GA. When healthy, Cethan definitely turned out to be a damn good TE, night and day difference under Tavita. Cotton and Foster, no different now than they were 2 years ago. Behind them, no development in 2 seasons. Obviously, we'll find out more in the spring, fall & during the 2017 season. Is there enough to promote him? IMO, an argument can be made both ways.
  5. IMO, no other player will be as hungry as Johnny during winter conditioning, spring ball and summer workouts.
  6. Okay, square peg, round hole discussion. My bad, I'll watch the discussion from the sideline, carry on.
  7. No, Bo had a chance for this type of offense with Watson. Since Shawn couldn't get his vision across to Pelini, with full trust and more importantly consistent results, Pelini could've very easily hired an OC with similar offensive vision and gone from there. Instead, he chose to promote, with no experience calling plays at the college level, Tim Beck as Pelini has always wanted a spread type offense for his team. And before anyone says Bo didn't know Nebraska would be in the B1G when he promoted Beck, think again. It was announced in 2010 that Nebraska would join the B1G in 2012 and Tim Beck was promoted in 2011. For me, it's beyond time to move on. He's had chances to hire coordinators (Pap and Beck, both with zero college experience), assistants (Raymond, Els, Joseph, Fish, Garrison, Kaz and Warren) but for some reason, the end results stay the same with some nasty and embarrassing nationally televised losses.
  8. Curious where you're pulling this from? I don't ask in confrontation, just to update what I have... 2008, 0-3 vs top 25 2009, 3-2 vs top 25 2010, 2-2 vs top 25 2011, 2-3 vs top 25 (hard page doesn't show Michigan or USCe ranked, click on game and it shows) ((my mistake, didn't have them figured in up above, caught it late)) 2012, 1-3 vs top 25 2013, 1-3 vs top 25 2014, 0-3 vs top 25 9-19 vs top 25
  9. My comment wasn't specific to the B8, I stated, "how weak the schedule was when we were in the B8." Excluding bowl and conference title games (1980-1989, 2005-2014) Nebraska played 29 ranked opponents in the 80's Nebraska played 30 ranked opponents in the last 10 seasons Excluding bowl and conference title games 1980's, Nebraska played 113 regular season games Last 10 years, Nebraska played 119 regular season games Breakdown 1980's, Nebraska played a ranked opponent every 3.89 opponents Last 10 years, Nebraska played a ranked opponent every 3.96 opponents The schedule in the 80's is no different than it is now.
  10. Good for you bison, I hope everyone drops an email to every Regent, Eichorst and Perlman, regardless what side of the fence one sits.
  11. I only have TOG, based on rankings on schedule of huskers.com, here's what it is: Osborne in first 7 seasons, 16-12 (7 of 12 losses were to Oklahoma) Solich in 6 seasons, 11-14 (lost 7 straight between last 2 to end 2001 season, and all ranked teams in 2002) Callahan in 4 seasons, 2-10 (lost last 6) Pelini in 7 seasons, 8-18 (lost 5 of last 6) Osborne's record is deceiving as the AP Poll, which I believe is what huskers.com uses, only had a top 20 for most of his career. I think it was 1989 when the AP expanded their poll to 25 teams. Gotta love the people that talk smack on how weak the schedule was when we were in the B8. Weird, more ranked teams played during that time - in lesser games - compared to the vaunted days of the B12 and B1G.
  12. You really stuck it to us there. Thanks for posting the obvious. As time goes on, you'll realize that the rumorville forum is full of nothing but...us, being us, because we have nothing better to do than be.....us. When I originally clicked on the thread link and responded, it was in the football forum. I'll pay better attention next time after initial reply.
  13. It is a problem, from what I understand that was first addressed during the initial six months of hire. I'm real confident in saying Tim Miles won't be too happy that Lee put that in his article. Also, just finished reading the article and his comment about Miles' contract at the end doesn't seem accurate. I was told Miles didn't want to revamp his contract and is waiting till this season is over (2014-2015) for contract negotiations.
  14. I laughed, you seem like someone that would "fly" Bieber.
  15. CN, rhetorical question remains rhetorical. chris, do you have proof otherwise? Patient bear is ready.
