  1. Colorado-34 Nebraska-17 rushing-147 passing-235
  2. Disgusting. Even more the amount of downplay it gets. Oh just a pizza with a stolen credit card. Oh wait we had a coach that got 3 DUII’s and that was ok.
  3. As will Florida, Florida St and half the SEC.
  4. Did you see what the Big Powerful D line of Ohio State did to USC. 8 sacks. The Big Ten has all kinds of speed across the board. That Badger Defense has several NFL draft picks. I find it funny that people think the Big Ten is slow just because they play old school Football. Ohio State is complete across the board. The Badgers just went 13-1.
  5. Let's also be realistic. They had a down 0-12 year. They went 12-1 and won the Fiesta Bowl in 2013. They went 9-4 in 2014. Its not some total rebuild. UCF played lot's of winning Football with O'leary. Great job no doubt, but I'll say it again, UCF schedule super weak.
  6. Fast paced offense means nothing when the other team pounds the rock and has 8-9 minute sustained drives. That's the Big Ten and its the exact blueprint that was used to beat Chip Kelly and all the following teams from Oregon after his departure. Come second half the little go fast teams get tired of getting beat on by the big lines on both sides of the ball. Everyone knows how to defend the uptempo spread offenses these days.
  7. Badgers pound the rock and stop the run thats why they win in the Big Ten. They do it very well.
  8. Couldn't agree more!!! The rebuild needs to be the O line and D. Sooner or later somebody will figure it out. All Div 1 winning teams have speed.
  9. Don't sleep on Akron and Troy. By no means an easy W!!!
  10. Championship Football has always been won with Defense and in the trenches both sides of the ball. I could care less about the play fast hype. Until the problems with the O line and Defense are fixed Frost will have his hands full in the Big Ten.
  11. Badgers head coach 10 wins 1st year, 11 wins year 2 and 13-1 this year. They reload, nothing fancy just good sound fundamental power football. They know exactly how to win in the Big Ten and on the big stage.
  12. Well I'll restate 17 plus. The spread by Vegas is 10. So yes an undefeated team that gets beat in a highly ranked bowl by 17 plus is a woodshed beat down in my Mindset. Auburn beat Bama by 12 and has played 3/4 playoff teams. Thankfully the playoff selection talking heads had enough sense to understand strength of schedule and not even consider UCF. But all Nebraska fans want to believe. I heard several people state, but Memphis beat 6-6 UCLA. Anyone see what Iowa State did to UCLA.? Not to mention the fact that UCF players running their mouths about SEC speed. Not a good idea to talk trash. Auburn Defense held most teams under 20 points per game. I like Frost and wanted him hired 3 years ago. He is a winner and I see him making Nebraska respected again. Currently nobody fears Nebraska. I hope Frost gets the bowl win, but realistically I just don't see it. If he gets the win then I'll celebrate and be happy. I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong. But SEC is whole different level then AAC UCF.
  13. I do and then some. I say by 17. UCF never played a team as complete as Auburn. Whole different level of Football.
  14. Let's hope Frost figures out he needs OL and DL recruits. Without the maulers he'll have trouble. He can talk all he wants about going fast, but he better have a DL that can stop the run.
  15. Auburn run game is very tough. Also Auburn Defense is better than anything UCF faced. If UCF can turn it into a shoot out I like their upset chance. In reality I'm thinking Auburn by 14 plus.
  16. Let them go. I hope all the weak and lazy get cleaned out. The culture and mentality has to change and it will with Frost.
  17. Chip Kelly changed the college football scene forever. The majority are playing up tempo and some form of a spread offense. The majority have implemented the perimeter passing game. Defense has also caught up and the spread blur offense is being contained. Cal first figured out how to contain it with a cover zero defense. Most teams run a constant nickel package. The good defenses today recruit hybrid defenders to stop this type of Offense. Kids who can play inside and out. Linebacker and DB. Many teams also utilize a walk LB or back in my day we called it a monster back. I'm glad coach Frost is tweaking it non stop and I believe as the years go on in the Big Ten he'll continue to adjust. Football like all things is constant change, adaptation to have an advantage. I'm still from school of thought that Defense wins championships and all tough games are won in the trenches.
  18. The Big Ten must have great defenses then, because they have 3 teams in top ten and currently 5 rated in the top 25. Urban Meyer says hello 42-20 beat down of the Oregon Ducks in the 2015 national title game versus the fastest team in College Football and Marcus Mariotta. Please....to say the Big Ten has weak offense and no speed is absurd. The problem with football today is 7-7 competiton in High School. I'm dealing with it with my son who is a High School QB. Everyone wants the eye test fast paced high scoring offense. Every kid loves playing the Nike 7-7 summer flag festival. In the mean time they never grasp the physicality of the game. How to blow teams off the line of scrimage. How to pound the rock for 8 minute drives and put the game away. You can have the eye test. I'll take Big Ten Football any day of the week over the schools that trade touchdowns each possesion.
  19. I never said anything about how NU's defense may be. I simply remarked that both teams are closely ranked in overall defense and I stated UCF played worse teams. Quite frankly I'm sick of talking and hearing about UCF, Mike Riley, Bo and Callahan. All ancient history and has no bearing on any future success of Nebraska Football. But I'm also a guy who is so unimpressed with the quality of Football played in the AAC that I dismiss all the hype.
  20. You can't even compare the two. It's different levels of Football. The strength of schedule confirms it as well. It's one of the reasons they're not even considered for the playoffs. It's why the red hot young coaches always start in lower level football. They jump ship to come and play big time football.
  21. I agree very dangerous team. Think they beat LSU this year.
  22. The O and D line weak link has been the main problem in my opinion with Husker Football for several years. Until that is fixed I don't see us playing championship football. The Oregon South offense is exciting, but games are won in the trenches. You must be able to run the ball and stop the run to win titles.
