The Sock don't mind takin' the heat. When The Source runs dry, The Sock don't lie! The Source, all of em', is good folks who thought they was helpin' is what The Sock believes. Unfortunately, it turned out different from what we was wantin' and expectin'. The Sock is workin' hard not to be disappointed too. The Sock was transparent from the very first about not knowin' nuthin' hisself. The Sock didn't do nuthin' to mislead folks, just sayin' what he was told by folks who was tryin' they best. If folks want to attack The Sock, go ahead, but weren't nuthin' done on purpose to hurt or mislead Husker Brothers n' Sisters. Feel free to quit readin' The Sock or even block The Sock. It don't matter none to The Sock. The Sock can sleep just fine knowin' he had good intentions all along. The Sock tryin' to learn more about Coach Riley and bein' hopeful for the future of the Huskers. The Sock is shocked. The Source is shocked. Husker Brothers n' Sisters is shocked. The Ginger Assassin done put a bunch a weight on his shoulders with hirin' Coach Riley. The Sock done heard some news The Sock don't like. The Source say no Frost, not gonna' happen.

Well The Sock don't know up from down today. The Sock thinkin' that The Ginger Assassin done playin' us like, well, puppets. The Source sayin' that The Ginger Assassin may have pulled the wool over the eyes of some Husker $ugar Daddies, (some big'uns) since they was expectin' the Tressel/Frost thing to happen today and if it ain't, then it maybe won't happen at all. The Source thinkin' that Bielema was a smoke screen maybe even from The Ginger Assassin hisself to distract us from what's happenin'. So, The Sock startin' to feel like we's chasin' our tails and The Ginger Assassin keepin' us a spinnin' until a real announcement come Sunday (The Source say Sunday, not The Sock, The Sock don't know nuthin' on his own). All The Source agrees that The Ginger Assassin is a smooth operator. The Sock hopin' that The Ginger Assassin is as good at hirin' football coaches as he is at messin' with us. When The Sock hears, The Sock talks.

The Sock done met his match with The Ginger Assassin. He got the Mother Ship locked down tight. That ship ain't sinkin'. The Source sayin' that Tressel and Frost is a combo deal, like peas n' carrots. If The Ginger Assassin gets it done as we hearin', he be an instant Husker Legend is what The Sock thinks. (Still hopin' he don't kill The Sock while he sleepin').

New Source flowin' the info to The Sock. Says that the deal for Tressel/Frost is tryin' to be worked out by the folks involved. Hopin' that we may hear somethin' official from The Ginger Assassin in the next day or two dependin' on how the deal goes and if all folks is happy. As usual, The Sock don't know nuthin' on his own. The Sock's sources say that even the folks in the "inner circle" ain't bein' told nuthin' at this point and since there one guy doing the decidin', unless he talks, nobody knows. That bein' said, Dan Mullen is still a real possible candidate. Moglia has reached out to SE (not the other way round). The tweets isn't somethin' to think too much about. These smart dudes know how to cover up they smoke better'n them moonshiners. The Sock wouldn't be surprised if they's floatin' names out there just to cover they tracks and keep all us nosy folks runnin' in circles. One source says he has a gut feeling that it could be Frost. No inside info on that one so take it with a bit o salt. Also said that those in the coachin' gig hold Frost in VERY high regard as one of the brightest young minds in football. So, nuthin' solid, and even the sources nervous these days, which is to be expected. It'll all work out in the end. Go Big Red!

The Sock ain't heard nuthin' new.

Source tellin' The Sock that the big $$$ boys is openin' the checkbooks, bustin' the piggy banks, and cleanin' out the couch cushions to throw some big money at the new coach. Still lots of smoke aroun' the Tressel/Frost combination. Nothin' we ain't heard already but The Sock likes confirmation from multiple sources which he been gettin'.

The Sock isn't the one to thank, it's the peeps that's talkin' to The Sock that's keeping you folks informed. The thanks goes to them but The Sock understands that you folks can't really thank them directly so I hopes they reads this and understands where the real credit goes. Go Big Red. The Sock does thinks its kinda funny that this turns out to be about The Vest. Maybe that fake Pelini fella can become The Vest.

The Sock don't want to say nothing bad about nobody but with the way the kids is talkin' it's probably good for us folks to know that they may have been led that way and be just angry and scared and frustrated. It ain't they's fault. Just support 'em and love em for bein' Huskers.

OK, The Sock been busy herdin' the little socks around and tryin' to stay on the good side of Mrs. Sock... I may have misinterpretated a message on Tressel. Sounds like they was some disagreein' when it comes to who wants what. Tressel is still the odds on favorite in this horse race. One source calls him 75% N. The sock don't do math too good but them seem like descent odds. My peeps haven't heard Bielema's name anywhere. Sounds like the lawyers is involved right now trying to work out some bits n pieces with the NCAA. Unfortunately, Bo isn't takin' these changes too good and will likely try to cause as much hurt to the Huskers as he can while he still can. The Sock is real sad to hear that and hopes that it turns out to be false. The Sock's also sad for the players. They lost they friend and mentor and they don't know what to think right now. Bein' kids like they is it's gotta be tough to take and they gonna say some stupid things (The Sock been there too) but hopefully it'll all settle down soon. Well, The Sock gettin' some conflicting information. Some says that the big $$$ folks with pull not too happy with Tressel and that the HC would likely be "someone else". Not sure that The Sock is qualified to sort this out and both these sources been good to me so I'll just set both ideas out there and you folks can decide.

No apologies necessary Po. We all Husker brothers even when we's disagreein'. How many times I gots to tell you folks that it's not about The Sock? It's the sock's peeps that deserve all the praise but for whatever reason (The Sock doesn't ask), they choose to communicate thru me. Sounds like there's no timeline on announcin' the new coach. Tressel is most likely but certainly not a done deal. The Sock does wish the best for Bo and all the other coaches. I feels bad for the kids who is nervous and worried about their futures.
