  1. Apparently dems blocked George Bush from electing a supreme court justice in 2007. Repubs will probably do the same because they can. Saw this in a tweet so not sure if true but brought it up for discussion
  2. Are you thinking about Holmes? He is a 5* recruit. I knew Holmes was a five star, regardless this guy is a four star and is talented. He is in the 500 mile radius and it would be a shame to lose this guy to Iowa. I was probably thinking Holmes like you said. I just thought maybe he dropped form a five star to a four star. but to me four star or higher is elite talent.
  3. Charge your phone its low on battery Nice find huskerhill, I wonder how much Riley and mclure know each other? He is definitely top 5 on our list out of the 50 people that are interested in the job.
  4. Was he ever a five star or am I thinking of someone else? Regardless, I like this guy and he is a solid 4 star recruit within the 500 mile radius, if we get this guy with holmes, our secondary will be super stacked. Our defense, especially pass defense might actually be good with all this elite talent at secondary.
  5. Hey Mav, the 247 rating is messed up it has semi colons instead of stars in the middle, idk why just letting you know
  6. KJJ because he will be a great player, we will be low on receivers after 2016 so getting him would be the key. POB to KJJ could be a really good qb to wr connection. With KJJ and a few tall receivers we will have an elite wr core with demornay, KJJ, alston morgan and others. Also Keyshawn will be able to peer recruit extremely well, so we get more studs form Cali and other places.
  7. Bronson Koenig is one of the best three point shooters in the B1G, he has deadeye range. Aside from him and Hayes, I agree lots of their backups started knocking down threes that they usually don't make. Jack needs to be more aggressive underneath as he got dunked on and was getting destroyed on post defense. Andrew White was keyed on and our offense was down. It will take time for these freshman to get bigger, stronger and better, also Hammond looked pretty good last night, I thought at least one of his fouls was a terrible call and he played with a lot of effort on defense.
  8. Scam Newton delivers a great press conference....

I don't have an issue with his showboating and celebrations. Aaron Rodgers does a lot of the same celebrating and isn't criticized for it.

He reminds me of the 7-8 year olds I see at my nephews wrestling tournaments who get overly excited when they win a match but then throw tantrums after they lose.

@colorado - I agree with you that rodgers doesn't take heat for his attitude. I've lost some respect after hearing some of his interviews. He's an ass after he wins and he makes excuses after they lose. I.e. The uncalled for God comment after beating Russell, and then the loss in the playoffs with the coin flip and his superstition.

  9. Need around two or three DTs for this class in my opinion
  10. Miles T sort of cost us this game, had it been two points near the end, we probably wouldn't have been scrambling to get a three off toward the end of the game. I thought we played hard, size was a factor and some horrible officiating both ways. We win this game and every Maryland fan can point to that out of bounds call that was clearly Maryland ball, although that call led to us scoring free throws, which kept us in the game. Can't fault effort in this game, fun game to watch, but we needed to protect this one at the vault. We played well enough to win, the problem was scoring droughts and defensive lapses, take away one of those and we are walking out of this game with a W.
  11. Seattle Seahawks do this I heard someone say. Far less injuries in rugby then in football, I wouldn't mind it causing less head injuries for our players. If it improves tackling I am all for it, if it makes our tackling worse, I would go away from it.
  12. This will be a tough one to pull off no doubt, we need to be consistent in winning games because after the wining streak, we have a losing streak...... Maryland will give us a tough fight, we give our best effort and play a low turnover game and we have a chance. We also need to shoot a solid percentage form 3 to have a shot because I have a feeling we will shoot tons of threes during this game.
  13. Yeah they are not good at football but PT could be a factor here. He probably starts in some capacity in his first year, wish the kid the best we were late on the offer so we were a long shot at best.
  14. I would not mind if this guy had 35 points today if we made him earn his points from the free throw line. He was too good inside and he was dunking on us like he was playing NBA jam. It wasn't a great matchup but we definitely could have done more to at least slow Hammons down.
  15. The tweet was deleted, can you sum up what it said plz, thx.
  16. I think he may be ours to lose actually because I believe we can offer him almost immediate playing time with our lack of depth at OT. If he wants to go to a school that fits his major better and that is MSU or Iowa then that would be why we lose him. Both MSU and Iowa have two OTs committed I believe, we have zero and we have no one starting opposite of Nick Gates. I am looking at it from Husker glasses but also being a younger person I see an chance of little competition or a place where they have no starters is a place I want to play. Again looking at it with husker glasses, why he wouldn't come here is beyond me and it is his decision, but we have as much to offer as the others academics wise and we offer immediate playing time or closer to immediate playing time then the other schools. Not sure about my underlined part here so correct me if I am wrong, that is why it is underlined....
  17. Pretty sure its allowed I mean we aren't paying players so I don't see anything wrong with that. Get the support staff and Mike to get out and build relationships around the state, mostly central and east Nebraska is where they are building them I assume. It would be nice if they could go get relationships with the big time HS coaches in Texas, California, Florida and that can help influence the big time recruits to come here. That will make us successful though because those are the most important states and we still need to protect the 500 mile radius and our state as well.
  18. Michigan had an unbelievable offensive game plan. They were making difficult shots and the ball bounced their way today. Rebounding wasn't the best but I am sure Jacobsen had 2 fouls not 4 with two fouls called with his hands up in the air playing sound defense. They can't have a definition of what a foul is anymore either, both sides got bad and good calls today so it was even. Michigan made shots, had a high field goal percentage and today was their day, time to shake off the loss and move on. This Michigan team is red hot as well so we need to put our heads up and play better the next game.
  19. Offense Pod 1 WR/S Isaiah Simmons-2 WR Desmond Fitzpatrick-3 WR Kalija Lipscomb [Vandy Commit 01/17/16] cero(penalty) WR Zach Farrar-1 Offense Pod 2 OT Matt Farniok-3 OT Royce Newman-1 OT Jauan Williams-0 OT Alaric Jackson-2 Defense Pod 1 CB Lamar Jackson-3 S Tony Butler-3 JUCO CB Devron Davis-0 DT Amir Watts-0 Defense Pod 2 JUCO DE Tramal Ivy-2 DE Collin Miller-2 JUCO LB Kapri Doucet-0 LB Cameron Goode-2
  20. Finally a center on our radar, we should have a lot to offer him with one center on the team and he plays not even ten minutes per game. Jordy would probably be able to start over Hammond, unless Hammond somehow gets used to D1 play. Only reason we wouldn't get him is for distance from home most likely.
  21. I thought it was against the rules to have recruits names on jerseys? Well, if its against the rules its what Ole Miss does. Maybe that Alabama fan that said he would find ways that Ole Miss cheats can finally use this as an example and claim they have been cheating for years. Anyway, I am sure they sent it without breaking rules or they found away around the rules, or this recruit may have accidentally got them in some serious trouble?
  22. Glynn came to play in his home state and Morrow did as well. I know Morrow was born in Nebraska but the majority of his life was in Illinois. These two improving could really help our chances at making the postseason. No one can rule us out of the tourney unless we lose 12 in the regular season. Maybe we could get a hot streak like two years ago, but in my mind this team looks like its headed to the NIT. The Samford and Northwestern loss will cost us in the long run because I think the schedule sets us up to lose 12/13 games this year. Good win against Illinois and lets give sparty a run for their money.
  23. Refs can't flip a coin and it cost my team the game. Never seen a re-flip in football

Rodgers asked for a re-flip, and now he's complaining. Is there any scenario where he wouldn't complain? lol
